But my Spanish is not good and they spoke no English. So of course I ordered the daily lunch special with horchata (the Yelp spellcheck wants me to change this to "orchard") to drink and hoped for the best. A sense of adventure is a good thing to have, even when dining. The horchata was fine. My lunch special began with a small bowl of soup. It had a tasty clear broth, cabbage, onions, carrots and garlic and was largely flavored by a sizeable hunk of pork, skin-on. I did not eat the pork (I'm not sure if I was supposed to or not) but I enjoyed the rest of the soup. Next came the entree which was a nice platter of rice, beans (which had a nice smoky flavor) and roasted pieces of pork with lots of squash and other veggies. Again, I'm not sure what part of the pig I was eating but it had a rich, smoky taste and was very tender. Bottom line is I would visit 4 x 4 again, but perhaps with a friend that was bilingual.
