Me and my partner got the standard course for two. It was around $68. That's a lot in my opinion for not that much food compared to a Korean bbq. The galbi short ribs for example, they only gave us 3. They couldn't even give us 4? Two each? That in general is also crazy small. The rest of the meats were flat pieces like brisket and little steak bits. That's not a lot of food. It looks like a lot but when meat shrinks it's just tasters. I'm not impressed with the amount I'm spending with the amount of food. It's honestly not a lot when you really break it down. We did try the mochi and me and my partner agreed that was probably the best mochi ice cream we have had. Plenty of options, very delicious and tasty. If you want some sort of BBQ experience, I would not come here as my first option. You're just wasting money when you can go to an all you can eat and order practically everything. If you wanted Individual plates of soemthing, for example the galbi short ribs for a plate was around $14. Cmon now. We wouldn't come back here. It was decent, too expensive for what you're getting. My husbands parents got the shrimp and scallop meal to split, my husband ordered the chicken and scallops. I, however, decided to try their sushi - so I got the California roll and the BBQ salmon roll. Once the chef came around to start cooking (which took quite a while) he started the show. I will also note that there was a bit of a language barrier between us and the chef. He tried asking us questions, such as if we were celebrating a birthday, but it was very hard for us to understand what he was saying. We could also tell he was a bit new at the job because certain "tricks" he'd mess up on or had to try a couple times before he got it right. For the food, I will say that I did enjoy my sushi. Both rolls were delicious! My husband ate mostly the protein on his plate. They give a huge portion of fried rice for the main courses, it's definitely enough for two people. I believe his parents said they thought the meal was good as well. I think it came down to the service we received which kind of left a bad impression. The food was good it was just the lack of service that left me wanting more. I know there are other hibachi restaurants in El Paso. I will probably try those with my husband. I wouldn't mind coming back to Koze, I understand maybe they were just having a bad day. But I would also try other places.

I'm not from here, my husband is stationed here and I haven't seen anything like this since I was a young adult living in the inner city of Los Angeles. So while I'm not alarmed by this, I am put off by it. This experience was different though, the man was panhandling. I have never ever been approached for money inside an establishment. It was very awkward as my Spanish is extremely elementary and my husband doesn't speak it. I tried to explain to the man that I didn't have cash on me and was desperately hoping the staff would kindly help the man. He lingered for a long time, almost ruining our lunch. The man waiting on us saw and did nothing. Listen, I'm not heartless but I can't help every person panhandling. The staff should take care of this situation and not pass on the responsibility to their customers. I'm sorry but this looks very poorly on the City of El Paso which I hate to say, I think it's a wonderful beautiful city. If I were not Latina or hadn't experienced similar situations like this in my youth I'd have been clutching my pearls and would have left. I know this will come off as heartless, it broke my heart. I don't know this man or his situation and I couldn't properly communicate with him, put on the spot at that. Mirai bowl is great in general- cheap, fast, and healthy, but this one is by far the best run location as the owner and his wife work there. Get the chicken lite bowl and the curry udon. Their sushi is great and cheap- also it's 50% off sushi on Thursday and Friday nights! I wish the other Mirai Bowls were as good as this one! read more

Miso soup they start you off is always hot, green onions are thin with a punch and tofu bites are present. The Salmon SP and the Riyoma roll. Both came out quickly and everything tasted fresh. I also ordered the red bean ice cream mochi. I would come back for that alone honestly. It was that good.
