Delicious crepes with fresh greens! We had the Summer Coconut Rolls foran appetiser. These are the best salad rolls in town! Our new favorite place!

Saigon Bowl Vietnamese Eatery: Eggplant Clay Pot

I've picked up catering deliveries from Saigon Bowl many times. When I deliver the order to the customers, they always tell me how much they love the food from Saigon Bowl. I keep thinking I need to try them out! I happened to be in the area getting my exercise at the nearby parks. After an hour of walking, I noticed I built up quite an appetite. I thought this would be perfect to try them out. I was in the mood for salad rolls, but when I looked at the menu I saw the Eggplant Clay Pot which came with a side of rice. I asked the server if it was vegan and he said it was 100% vegan. He recognized me from the times I've picked up catering orders. We chatted for a bit. He's very friendly. I ordered the Eggplant Clay Pot, it came to me piping hot. The flavor was so good! I really enjoyed it. I had made a veggie stir fry for my lunch, also rice. The leftover I took home went perfectly with the leftover stir fry I made. I had an awesome lunch the next day! I liked the decor of the restaurant and the seat I sat in was nice and cushy! I will definitely be back!

Cabbage Chicken Salad

Saigon Bowl at The Streets of Tanasbourne has an appetizing and well-balanced menu with plenty of options--starters, rolls, salads, soups, house specialties, grilled items, and vegetarian dishes. The service was friendly, and the food came out impressively fast--maybe five minutes at most. I ordered the "Cabbage Chicken Salad," and it was both flavorful and satisfying. The prices are very competitive for the quality--you're paying a little less for better-quality, more authentic Vietnamese food. Overall, Saigon Bowl is a great spot for fresh dishes, quick service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I recommend heading to their website and viewing the menu there!

Luc Lac Beef

I don't know how I've never been here before even after living in the area for this long. I'm always craving various Asian cuisines and just so happened to come across this spot after scrolling on Yelp for awhile. Decided to give it a shot and was definitely not disappointed. I'll start by saying the food is good but not without flaws. We started with the fried calamari which was standout. A lot of places use the processed squid which ends up feeling artificially chewy, where as here they use actual squid. I know salinity is up to personal preference, but I did find their squid to be overly salted. I had their Luc Lac beef which was good as well; but I do feel like salad next to warm rice tends to wilt the lettuce quicker than intended. I also felt like the sauce was perhaps a little on the oilier side; but otherwise tasted good. My wife had their lemongrass chicken, which again was good, but I did feel like they could've cooked the aromatics a little longer as the ginger and garlic were still hard. Based on food alone I would say this would be 4 stars, but the service really left more to be desired. Our server, although friendly, had an airpod in the entire time we were there, did not come to get our order or the bill, and never once filled our water. Now there was only 1 server when we were there, so I completely understand if the restaurant was busy; but there was only 1 other table at this time.

Bun Bo hue

I order at least once a week from Saigon bowl! They have amazing bun bo hue! I ask for extra spicy && they do not disappoint. Amazing flavors && the owner makes sure all his dishes go out perfectly. I really appreciate the great hospitality & service every single time.

Sai Gon Combination

I don't know if there is a Vietnamese bistro consortium, but this is almost exactly like one by my house. I got the Saigon combination. I'm not a big fan of when I'm given shrimp in the singular. It just seems unnecessarily cheap. Other than that all the flavors were good. I think I got overcharged for my drink but I didn't want to mess with it. But if I didn't get overcharged their fountain drinks are way too expensive. Good blend of greens And herbs in the bowl. Satisfying meal.

Service was great. Ample parking. But I can't say any of the 4 dishes blew us away. Very clean restaurant.

Bo kho

We strolled in around 7 pm after having to run errands. We were seated quickly though lots of people sat inside. The decor is beautiful and everyone is friendly enough. The crispy spring rolls came out quickly and they were great. The bo kho was a little bland and didn't taste like Vietnamese beef stew. The pho was fine, too. Chicken wings were a bit soggy from the sauce but sweet.

Garlic Glazed Pork Loin

Amazing! I ordered Garlic Glazed Pork loin without a high expectation because Hillsboro isn't really known for Vietnamese food. This dish blew me away. It taste super authentic and the flavor is on point. Definitely will come back again. Vibe: 4.5/5 Taste: 5/5 Cleanliness: 4.5/5 Value: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Parking: 5/5

Food is great. No changing stations in the bathroom. Good luck, changing your baby's or toddler's diaper.

Over the years, I've brought friends and family here, talking it up enough that they're willing to make the journey with me. I always recommend the tofu vermicelli bowl. The fact that my tofu-skeptical father sang its praises after I made him try it is a testament to its flavor. I still think of it as the gold standard of tofu. I was recently in the area for the first time in 5 or 6 years and decided to go back to Vivi's with my mom. It was the first thing that popped into both of our minds-a real jinks moment. I was nervous that it wouldn't live up to our memory. Vivi's had moved around the corner from their old location-a cute, cozy little cafe-but their new restaurant is more spacious, hopefully to accommodate the flocks of diners that their food merits. I got the tofu vermicelli, which was exactly as I remembered, equally flavorful and generous in portion size for $15. My mom got the papaya salad for $5.50. I previously thought I didn't like papaya-I was mistaken. It was a unique and refreshing dish that I would 100% go back for. Vivi's food tastes fresh and nourishing and at the same time satisfying and rich. We were short on time and were prepared to have to take it to go, but our food was out in 10 minutes. I don't usually write reviews, but after so many great experiences over the years it felt long overdue. A small business that has maintained their quality at reasonable prices over the years deserves to be recognized with a recommendation. Give Vivi's a try!

Meal came out quick with warning its very spicy (It wasn't that spicy but it had a decent kick compared to the usual dish I've had in the Portland Area!) Staff are friendly, soup was genuinely one of the best I've had in years, the Limade was also a killer and I recommend getting it to pair along with. All-in-all, was a fantastic place to contribute to my late birthday outing.

The menu isn't too expansive, but definitely has something for everyone. I LOVE their pho, it's currently #1 on my list. The broth is delicious, and the steak is very yummy. I will eventually try something else I'm sure but don't sleep on the pho! Service is always polite and swift. We've already been back twice since our first visit.

We arrived just before the dinner rush and were promptly seated. The menu is quite varied and includes some non-Vietnamese choices. Unfortunately, they did not serve my favorite, banh xeo. We ordered the lobster wontons, but quite honestly, I could not tell there was lobster in them because the cream cheese dominated. The broken rice pork chop plate was delicious, especially with the crispy fried egg on top of the rice. The combo bun was substantial with pork, chicken, char siu and shrimp and was quickly polished off by the man in our party. The $3 Asahi and Obsidian stout beers were a bonus. The dragon mural is compelling as you walk in to the restaurant. I did find some of the lighting rather garish, particularly around the front counter, but otherwise it was pleasant. Service was friendly and attentive. One of my companions really enjoyed the pho broth so I will have to go back to try that. Overall, a solid edition to the Hillsboro/Aloha neighborhood.
