Vietnamese Beef Stew - B kho. Excellent!
    Randy D.

Nice little place is a strip mall Service was good, greeted right away when I entered and sat. Order taken quickly and food came out fast. Got the pork salad rolls and the beef stew. Both were excellent. Rolls were fresh and the sauce was very tasty. Beef stuff was full of meat and very nice broth Got the peach bubble tea with jelly and was really good. Too good, I drank the whole thing! Very nice dinner, would definitely come back

I enjoy the spring rolls at this location . Super fresh , yummy , and the presentation is amazing . The vermicelli bowl is also a good option for the summer and the pho bowls are huge and perfect for the winter. The place is really cute inside and the service has always been amazing.

Gabo special. Good portions for $12.

The Bo kho supposedly beef stew, is now nothing but pho broth thrown together with a cube of instant Bo kho spices and raw onions. Yes there was beef brisket but again not part of a stew recipe but a hack from pho ingredients. That cube of spices is littered with MSG you can FEEL in minutes and you'll be running for water due to dry mouth. This review is strictly for the bo kho, which I recommend you AVOID. I have to call out a terrible hacked dish when I see one. Do it right or take it off the menu. If you want real Bo kho go to the well established place off 77th near the Raleigh Hills Fred Meyer.

Located in a strip mall, casual non-busy vibe. More than ready to serve & friendly server. Very tasty crispy egg rolls with pork, shrimp, glass noodles and taro. I could have eaten 2 orders of this! Bahn mis were the popular choice at my table. Along with pho and their vermicelli bowl. Will return when back in Hilsboro!

We really enjoyed the Gabo Vermicelli Bowl and the Gabo Beef Special Noodle. and the Chicken Pot Sticker. Great deal using Uber Eats. If you haven't tried Uber Eats, use this code to get $20 off a $25 order: eats-hnzu3

Good place to enjoy authentic Vietnamese pho. Pho bowls are nice and big with lots of noodles and meats. The authentic bone soup was very good as well. The broiled beef is tender, very flavorful. The homemade chili sauce is a must try. The restaurant is clean, and the service is very attentive.

The food here was good and the price is reasonable. I got the vermicelli bowl and it had a generous portion size. My friend got the everything pho and loved it and took half of it home. The restaurant is small but it is in a strip mall so not surprising. The restaurant is clean. Service was hands off. We ordered quickly but after getting our food were left alone. Would have appreciated a little more hands on service of asking how food was, filling waters, and getting To-go containers.

The food felt really fresh. I wouldn't rate this as great, it was decent food with good options. Service was good and the ambiance is pretty good too.

Oh my goodness, the food is amazing! I have the vegetarian Pho. It was full of flavor and lots of vegetables. The other person at the table had chicken and thought it was absolutely outstanding. Just remember it does come with the bone. Service was quick and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Small business.

I am sticking with my four star rating but felt an update was in order. It's 5 years since my first review. We enjoy our occasional takeout from here and have had it delivered too a few times over the last year. The vermicelli bowls are always beautiful and fresh with umami filled grilled pork, chicken, or shrimp. The eggrolls are a little greasy but with all the fresh veggies you will get over it. Dining companion's vermicelli bowl was beautiful this time, check out the photo. The rice plates are similarly good. My ex- BIL once got a big plate with all the things on it ( including I think meatloaf and an egg?!) and he was very happy and there were plenty of leftovers. The salad rolls are delicious. Period. I had pho this time, and it came with beautiful veggies which sadly I cannot eat right now. I fished the onions out of the pile, squeezed in the fresh lime juice, and floated some basil leaves. The chicken was tender, the broth was very good, and overall I was happy. Everything came nicely packaged separately which is awesome. Fried tofu was great with a nice dipping sauce. I would skip the smoothies/boba/ teas. We have tried several times, different things, and they were not amazing. My mango drink was kinda terrible a couple visits back. It tasted kinda artificial. This little place is good. Give it ( the food) a try.

Take-out pho: Fresh veggie bag, broth, and bowl with noodles, proteins, cilantro, and onions.
    Kristi P.

Take-out review: We called in our order of 3 large pho with tendon, meatballs, and tripe. It was waiting for us when we arrived with broth and veggie toppings packaged separately from the noodles, protein, cilantro, and onion. I've only eaten-in there once, but this was a lot of food! We re-heated the broth on the stove at home to make sure it was extra hot so the noodles were easier to break-up when we mixed them together. I must say it was pretty darn close to eating it fresh at the restaurant! The proteins were all top quality. The tendon was melt-in-your-mouth and the tripe was crunchy. The veggie topping bags have a generous amount of fresh bean sprouts, basil, jalapeño, lime, and packets of hoisin and sriracha. There is a $0.50 Take-out charge per entrée, which is fine since there is extra cost for the containers, sauce packets, and utensils. Overall, a very satisfying meal that hit the spot after not eating-in at restaurants for a year!

Over the years, I've brought friends and family here, talking it up enough that they're willing to make the journey with me. I always recommend the tofu vermicelli bowl. The fact that my tofu-skeptical father sang its praises after I made him try it is a testament to its flavor. I still think of it as the gold standard of tofu. I was recently in the area for the first time in 5 or 6 years and decided to go back to Vivi's with my mom. It was the first thing that popped into both of our minds-a real jinks moment. I was nervous that it wouldn't live up to our memory. Vivi's had moved around the corner from their old location-a cute, cozy little cafe-but their new restaurant is more spacious, hopefully to accommodate the flocks of diners that their food merits. I got the tofu vermicelli, which was exactly as I remembered, equally flavorful and generous in portion size for $15. My mom got the papaya salad for $5.50. I previously thought I didn't like papaya-I was mistaken. It was a unique and refreshing dish that I would 100% go back for. Vivi's food tastes fresh and nourishing and at the same time satisfying and rich. We were short on time and were prepared to have to take it to go, but our food was out in 10 minutes. I don't usually write reviews, but after so many great experiences over the years it felt long overdue. A small business that has maintained their quality at reasonable prices over the years deserves to be recognized with a recommendation. Give Vivi's a try!

Bonus points for being in walking distance of Next Level Pinball Museum. Meal came out quick with warning its very spicy (It wasn't that spicy but it had a decent kick compared to the usual dish I've had in the Portland Area!) Staff are friendly, soup was genuinely one of the best I've had in years, the Limade was also a killer and I recommend getting it to pair along with. All-in-all, was a fantastic place to contribute to my late birthday outing.
