There is outdoor and indoor seating, but The vibes inside give it a communal feel, despite being a bit crammed. The beignets are actually quite good and I would be hard-pressed to think of any other place in the Asia town area that has anything close. Each piece is fried to perfection and has a generous amount of powdered sugar on top, making for a sweet and crunchy bite. I really love their Vietnamese iced coffee, which is strong and just sweet enough to be comparable to the real thing. Banh Cuon Is smooth and silky, and is a nice option for something light but satisfying. While I don't love their fish sauce, it adds just enough to make it an essential for texture and taste. One area that I think has gotten them the most flack has been the service. I've had a fair share of miscues and misunderstandings, and even a little bit of attitude during some previous visits here. I noted that the cashier kept forgetting my order, repeated each items 2 to 3 times before she confirmed each item. I ordered the halo halo che, passion fruit jasmine tea 25% sugar, and peach lemongrass 25% sugar. The drinks tasted watered down but the che was really good, except taro chunks were too big. It took about 10 minutes for order to be prepared. I would skip the drinks next time and only go for the desserts. There are about 8 tabletops, relatively small sitting area. The back half of this shop offers claw machines filled with plushies. I didn't get a chance to check it out but it looks fun. I can't wait to come back to try their other desserts, especially the flan.
