I was craving banh mi and decided to order take out from this establishment. I ordered 3 combo banh mi, 2 grilled pork banh mi, grilled chicken rice plate, and 2 banh cuons. My total was $65, which is not worth the quality of the food. The banh mi were okay, but south sac is definitely better. The banh cuon was prepared with very scant amount of filling and the noodles did not hold today very well. I picked up 1 roll and all the filling fell out. I do appreciate the social distancing measures and the employees wearing face coverings. I am very hesitant to return due to the price and the somewhat okay quality of the food. read more

Great location. You can see it from the street. It's bright and clean inside. Lots of snacks to pick from. I ended up getting the chicken wings because none of the sandwiches sounded appealing to me. I was unfamiliar with the ingredients. And you can't really go wrong with chicken wings (so i thought). After I got my wings, I opened the bag (out of habit) to make sure my order was correct, and a horrible smell hit me so hard! It smelled like dog food. Like actual, literal dog food. I didn't want to offend anyone so I just left without saying anything. After I got in my car, I had to drive down to CVS to throw the bag away. Seriously the best Vietnamese in town! They make their own sauces which for someone who is pre diabetic and low sodium (among other dietary restrictions), it's perfect! Gluten free and vegan options too! All good I've had had been fresh and portions are large. Quality of food and thought out into prep are high. And communication of staff is good too. Today I got their pho. When I first came to visit I got their special banh mi. It's $5.99 for the sandwich and I believe the pho was $7.99. My sister got the wonton soup I believe it's the same price as the pho Compared to other restaurants in the Natomas area, in my opinion, they have one of the best phos. There isn't many pho spots here in Natomas. Usually, when I am craving pho I have to go all the way to Pho Saigon near Arden which is somewhat of a drive. Thank goodness this is closer! The atmosphere is a restaurant and a little market style. The market doesn't offer a lot of product just simple dry ingredients, noodles, and some seasonings. I also like that it's at the corner of the building and allows for natural lighting because of all of the large windows. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit and will be back to try more! Been wanting to try this place and finally got to on my day off. Ordered the Saigon Combo Banh Mi and an order of their shrimp & pork spring rolls they already had prepared on their counter. Both are very good! The Banh Mi was a combination of ham and other Vietnamese cold cut meats (not sure if I am referencing it correctly) with the usual veggies you would get in a Banh Mi (jalapeños, pickled radish and carrots, cucumber) and pâté. The bread was toasted, soft on the inside and just perfect. The shrimp/pork rolls were also very good dipped with peanut sauce. All the ingredients were fresh. This place also offers a few Asian snacks and canned food. Staff were very friendly and inviting. The place is was nice and clean. I'll definitely be back! Best banh mis that we've had in Sac! We ordered a grilled pork, grilled chicken, and veggie banh mis, pork sausage spring rolls, and egg rolls for my daughters birthday and it was a big hit! People were super impressed and kept asking where we catered from! The veggie banh mi was surprisingly good! It has a nicely marinated tofu and lots of veggies. The egg rolls were gone first, everyone loved them, even my daughter who only eats my family's homemade ones. There's a little bit of everything here. From banh mi to rice plates and they even have a small grocery section. Prices for the banh mi are a bit higher than normal. Considering it's the only banh mi place in the area and will save me a trip to South Sac, I think of it as a trade off. The thit nguoi (cold cut ham) banh mi is the best. The vegetarian banh mi is different than any other place I've had it. It's with stir fried tofu and shiitaki mushrooms. The baguette is a good portion. They have a small grocery selection with snacks and ethnic sauces. It may be small but it has saved me several trips to the Asian grocery store so I'm really loving it. The workers are friendly here. For a Saturday afternoon it was pretty quiet, only two other customers dining in. Wi-fi and many big tables to sit at. The little grocery section was decent, although I'd rather go to a big Asian supermarket in South Sac for supplies unless I absolutely needed an ingredient or craving. The grilled pork could have used more char, and I suppose it would have been fine for a banh mi format, but as the main meat for the rice noodle dish, it was a little lacking. The fish sauce was heavy on the sour vinegary flavor profile. Veggies included carrot and daikon as in the sandwich, lettuce and cucumber. Overall this entree was okay, but for $8-$9 I might choose Co Do 2 for the portions. The shrimp spring rolls were very good and fresh! These were $6-$7 though. I'm going to start off with the bad and end with the good. First time customers. Came in today at about 11:30am. Per Yelp, they had already been open for an hour and a half. Ordered some bahn mi and milk tea drinks for the four of us. Went to use the bathroom and this is where it goes south. One bathroom was for employees only and the other for customers. The "customer" bathroom had no toilet paper, no hand soap and the towel dispenser was broken. The garbage can was full. We couldn't go to the bathroom let alone wash our hands before eating. The place had only been open for an hour and a half and this is was the condition of the bathroom. It was obvious the bathroom hadn't been serviced since yesterday. When I see conditions such as this, I start to wonder if they are as lax in the kitchen with my food. The dining area initially seemed clean when we walked in. However, I noticed the tables were not being wiped down between customers. I told the young lady working the register about the situation. As we waited for our food, I watched as the staff did nothing about the bathroom situation. Our food came out. Instead of eating there, we opted to take it home (couldn't wash our hands). The grilled pork bahn mi was good. I have had better and cheaper on Stockton Blvd. But, if I was in the area, I would order it again. My "Tiger" milk tea was just okay. Weak on flavor even though it was supposed to be a mix of Thai tea and black tea (per the cashier). I probably wouldn't order it again. read more

I've been coming here more and more for various dishes on weekend days. Their sandwiches are not the most authentic Vietnamese sandwiches in terms of flavor or baguette bread, however, they taste similar enough to fulfill the craving and are huge in portion size. I would also recommend their Vietnamese coffee has been pretty solid and close to authentic, but again they do have a pretty heavy hand with the condensed milk which is favored by some people. Lastly, I had the pho last weekend and appreciated it quite a bit given how close the restaurant is to my apartment. Tastes like A homemade bowl of pho without too much MSG and I can definitely see myself coming back for more after some nights out. It's also pretty casual environment in which I appreciate. The owner is so rude. She has little mean beady eyes and an attitude. She's very rude to her customers, even regulars. She nitpicks and I saw a review that they don't fill up drinks but put more ice. Also always got the pho and asked her that several times, it has less ingredients than other times. She yelled at me and said well that's the amount we put in there!! Then need to be more consistent. Saw that she tried to open a second location in Safeway natomas center but she scrapped that idea because she knew that Tasty Pot would put her out of business. Tasty Pot has excellent food and the employees are all so nice. That is my new hangout and love spending my money there. Kudos to the owner and wish you much success. It's too soon for a 4 star review BUT I can say this place hit the spot for a banh mi sandwich in Natomas area. The prices were decent but we need to remember not to compare this place to other banh mi places. I hope they stay longer than the other restaurants at this location as well! We need a nice place like this one to stick around. I got the #1 and it was nicely layered. I got an egg on mine and I really like the sandwich. On a whim, I got a unicorn boba w/ lychee jelly and it was great and refreshing!! I'll probably give the vietnamese coffee a try next time! I usually get mine across the street at Bagel Cafe but will patronize this place if they stay consistent. You should definitely try this place and help them thrive in the area! read more

Yay a new place opened up to get some cheap Bahn mi sandwiches or rice boxes. At the moment they only have the Bahn mi sandwiches menu available but feel free to ask them if they're selling the rice box. Our Vietnamese iced coffee came out first. It wasn't too sweet and actually had less ice as requested. Next came out real meals - the sandwich and rice box. They did tell us the rice box didn't include lettuce as planned because their freezer was set to a lower temperature than expected and froze the lettuce. However, even without the meals were still really filling. The pork in the rice box wasn't overcooked/chewy and the chicken in the Bahn mi was flavorful as well. The egg rolls came out fresh out of the fryer! I had to let it cool down so much before eating it. They're $1 each but a nice treat. One thing my bf commented on was that in the sandwiches, the meat is all on the side (back side where the sandwich is folded) and all the toppings are on the outside of the sandwich. Fine with me so the meat doesn't drop out but he likes to have a little bit of each in every bite. But that is not stopping me from coming back! read more
