    Dinner on a Thursday.

We went here for lunch on Saturday and had the best service. Great timing, thoughtful questions, and zero mistakes. Big improvement. The food is still awesome, as always.

Another hard days work another day of good eating. Lunch time brought us to Saigon Flavor located in a shopping plaza. The inside has a decent seating area. After perusing through the menu I decided on ordering a Thai tea and yellow curry from their lunch special menu. Ordering the Thai tea was $1 more but it was worth it. Our server was very kind but we were forgotten about for a bit. After the order was placed it didn't take too long for it to come out. My yellow curry lunch special came with a side of rice, pho broth, and one pork lumpia roll. The yellow curry was very flavorful and I ordered it with a mild spice level because I wasn't sure how spicy it would be. If I were to order it again I would get medium. The lumpia was good and so was the broth. Overall I would come here again and try something new.

Duck red curry; what a great find. Delicious!

Found this place on Yelp on our way from Fresno to Death Valley national park. We didn't expect much since it's a Vietnamese restaurant offering Vietnamese, Chinese and Thai cuisine. We were pleasantly surprised that everything we got was sooo delicious. What a hidden gem in Mojave. Everyone was satisfied with what we ordered that we debating stopping by again on our way back home, but alas we took a different freeway home. Service was efficient. The chef came to talk to talk to us about our food, why is always nice. She said good choice on the duck curry, which I 100% agree. Family friendly. Place was 80% full when we got there for early dinner.

Delicious family-owned Thai/Vietnamese spot in Ridgecrest! They are super popular for lunch and have some excellent lunch combos for a great value. However, service can be pretty slow around lunch when they get busy, so don't go if you have somewhere to be. I stopped coming here for lunch because of the long wait but definitely miss it! I still come here for dinner or takeout every once in a while and the food is always great. The pho, Pad Thai, and curry are all delicious. Like many Ridgecrest spots, the vibe inside feels a bit hole-in-the-wall. The A/C also doesn't seem to work great, it is often pretty warm inside. Would recommend takeout over dine-in on a hot day. But overall recommend Saigon Flavor to anyone visiting/passing through Ridgecrest!

A new favorite place. Great staff. Instant food. Pork larb and spring rolls filled me up after my 11 hour drive. Larb was ordered as their hottest setting - Thai hot. It was good. Must try more of the menu.

Just posting updated menu photos and sharing my experience with ordering takeout. The host/server greeted us right as we walked in -- super friendly and clear in his communication. He speaks at a volume that ensures you hear and understand everything, which I personally appreciate. Some might find it a bit much, but I didn't mind at all -- it felt more like confident hospitality than anything else. The menu offers a nice variety, with a mix of Asian dishes beyond just Vietnamese cuisine. We weren't rushed at all while looking over the options, and help was offered if we needed any. This review is strictly based on the takeout ordering experience -- I'll be back to update once we've had a chance to try the food!

I love coming here as the food is delicious and reasonably priced. It's also very close to the hotel cluster I stay at while on business trips to Ridgecrest/China Lake. Their soups are all great, the lumpia amazing and, although I saw it too late for this trip, they now also serve some types of dim sum like Shui Mai, steamed bbq pork buns and potstickers/gyoza. The inside is not huge, but clean, the usual server has a loud voice and sometimes phrases things a little odd, but he has good energy and is nice enough. Lots of folks come in for pick-up / take out. I always leave with leftovers, but probably because I over do it and order all my favorites...!

This is a very busy pho and Thai food spot, with so many people doing pick-up orders and eating inside. That share a gravel parking lot with several other businesses. We ordered pho, both small and large portions. The small bowl looks small, but contains so much noodles. The pho are worth the price and are a little cheaper than the other spots I have been to. We also tried the sweet sticky rice with mango, which was perfectly sweet. Service was very good and and attentive.

In search of a lunch spot on our long drive back from Mammoth, my wife discovered Saigon Flavor in the city of Ridgecrest near the halfway point. The restaurant is an unassuming Vietnamese-Thai fusion eatery found in a strip mall off of N. China Lake Blvd. Customers appeared to be mostly locals but judging by how busy the establishment was during the lunch hour, it was apparent they have a high number of regular patrons and repeat customers. It was surprising to find that some of the employees appeared to be Vietnamese which lends some credence to its authenticity. I ordered the Thai Iced Coffee and a bowl of Pho Doc Biet with additional Meatball and they both hit the spot! If you should find yourself in Ridgecrest and are craving Vietnamese or Thai cuisine, Saigon Flavor is worth a try.

This place is great. I always eat here when I'm in town for work. The food is always consistently good and the service is great. Nice comfortable friendly place. I enjoy the Pad Thai, green curry, beef pho, lumpia and spring rolls. Definitely worth a try if you're ever in Ridgecrest.

I was in town for work and was craving Asian food. I found this place and had to give it a try. I'll have to say, this wasn't my favorite place in the area but when you're limited on Asian food in the area, this place will have to do.

Had the fresh chicken spring rolls and I don't care for them. The chicken was dry with no flavor and the sauce needs more peanut flavor.

The food was fresh and hot and they had shrimp at least 5 ways and I like that the fish was salmon. I tried a small bit of many things and everything was good. They gave me a pot of hot tea and that was good too. The service is very friendly and they want to make sure that you enjoy your meal. They have a salad bar and also small sushi selection which is fine as all their hot Chinese food is really good. I am not a dessert person but I tried their mango jello, real ice cream and hot apple strudel. They were all tasty. I was impressed with the quality of meat. They have orange chicken, chicken teriyaki skewers, broccoli beef, kung pao chicken, and my favorite was the BBQ pork ribs. I enjoyed my visit. Going back soon.

The staff was kind, and the building was cool, but that's where the charm ended. We walked into an obese pit bull literally sitting on a chair at the table, right next to where we got seated. There had been a sign out front saying there was a "service dog" inside with a picture of the obese pit bull in question, so I guess that's helpful but calling it a service dog really stretches credulity. I'm not sure what service the dog is providing for the owner who was not present until the end of our meal, at which point he paraded the dog around the tiny restaurant to greet customers. Another customer came in with a dog, too - apparently this tiny restaurant is teetering into becoming a dog park. I love dogs. I work with animals for a living. I am a dog owner and bring my dog everywhere I can, within reason and with the explicit permission of the businesses we visit. I do NOT appreciate a poorly-behaved pit bull, kept docile by virtue of his excessive weight, slobbering on a dining table. I do not appreciate dog dander in my food. But mostly, being in a family that used actual guide dogs - as in, dogs that were specifically bred and trained for YEARS by experienced professionals to assist their visually impaired handlers all day, completely ignore food and people that try to interact with them, and to tuck themselves quietly at their handler's feet at a restaurant, I'm put off by "service dogs" just moseying around a restaurant or sitting at a table with diners. It really does seem like this dog's main purpose is to hang out and be a restaurant mascot, which sure sounds like a health code violation. Dog dander aside, the food was basically on par with what you might order at any American-style Chinese restaurant. The orange chicken had a strong orange peel flavor, so it stood out. The rice was dry. I didn't notice anything unique about the soy sauce. The other items we ordered were unremarkable.
