I was on the other side of town today so stopped in this unassuming place that shares a common wall with a Subway franchise. I got her at 11:30 and had the place to myself at first. That quickly changed as a pretty good crowd trickled in, filling up almost every table. Staff greeted me as soon as I walked in and the restaurant was very clean with a nice atmosphere. They had been burning some incense so if you have an allergy, this may not be the place for you. I ordered the bún măm, which was flavorful with a lots of sliced eggplant, fish, shrimp, and shallots. It was served with the usual plate of bean sprouts, basil, lime wedge, and sliced jalapeño. The noodles were thicker and rounder than those used in pho. I'd definitely order this again and want to try some of their other offerings. read more

Came here for lunch today. The ambiance of the restaurant is cute and they have a nice patio section in the front for outdoor dining as well. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly. The small pho was really more of a regular sized pho which I was very happy. Broth was delicious and the portion of meat to noodle ratio was great. The menu selection is very big and they have lots of drinks and cocktails as well. I got a side of pho broth to go as well which was about $6.50! A real hidden gem! The outside doesn't look like much and the location may be deceiving- but the inside of this spot is so clean and cute. A really great ambience. We were greeted and seated quickly, given plenty of space and time to order, and the food came out quickly! Really friendly service, even better food. My husband got the brisket pho and I ordered the spicy noodle soup. Both were so good we barely talked, just ate. We both ordered smalls and it was the perfect amount though we may be ordering large bowls next time because of how tasty it was. The pho broth had great flavor, the meat was thinly sliced and cooked perfectly. The broth in the spicy noodle soup was so zingy from the lemongrass and very savory from the meat and other veggies. Great hole in the wall. The location is a bit off and you may easily pass by if don't pay any attention. They're in between Subway sandwich and the Mexican restaurant and it was kinda hidden for me at first. Parking is plenty in the front and back. Pretty and simple decor inside and outside and gave you the pleasant ambiance coffee vibes. I tried the premium angus beef ribs which was the waitress said only available once in a while. It was totally worth it and still have so much left to take home! Broth was great too! You can smell the star anise and other herbs in the soup broth. Highly recommend to any pho lovers. read more

Best pho in town! This place has expanded to be beautiful inside despite what the outside looks like but during the pandemic they have a nice outside seating area. The menu is huge and diverse and offers much more quality dishes. They even offer cocktails now. The people who run this place are very kind. First time and last time here. With the reviews and rating I was really looking forward to eating here. I've seen this place so many times driving by and we finally stopped by today. Let me start off by saying the biggest thing that threw me off was seeing a...cockroach. That's the last thing anyone wants to see while eating. I think the server was new as he had to go and ask the manager questions they should already know. I wanted to order a Pho and hoped they had a veggie based broth like most Vietnamese restaurants do but unfortunately they do not. I ended up getting the Vermicelli (my usual go to) with Fried Egg-rolls......but....they didn't have a vegetarian egg roll option! So, I got it with fried tofu again. It was so delicious, one of the better ones I've eaten, but after I saw the cockroach is was hard to enjoy it. They also have other drink selections and so far, they didn't disappoint. The service is pretty fast and they are super friendly! They renovated the inside dining area which is much brighter than last time. They also have outdoor seating. As for menu options, there a lot to choose from. Visiting from Seattle and am delighted to have found this beautiful spot...I enjoyed my dinner of shrimp spring rolls and brisket pho tremendously. Pho is medicine for me and I've benefitted greatly from all the great Vietnamese restaurants in Seattle over the years. I'm def coming back to Saigon again! I bought some of their house made chili oil to add to my pho and the flavors were lovely. Very unique taste and hearty rich broth. The fresh spring rolls also had a lovely flavor to them and I enjoyed those with a Sapporo and then the Red Thai iced tea to cool my tongue. Oh mah gawd. So I don't know it has taken me so long to get to Pho Saigon. My friend told me it was good, but boy....its majorly good. So delicious and fast. Broth was good and it tasted....clean. I got the veggie pho and there were a large amount of veggies in the bowl. The noodles weren't all clumpy or anything. I didn't have to to search for anything in the bowl. I got just what I wanted every time I went in for more. It came out of the kitchen super hot. Super hot!!! It came with the usual accompaniments (lime, bean sprouts, Thai basil) I didn't see any jalapeños though. That's fine because I never use them anyway. The restaurant itself is moderate in size. The do have a large table that can sit at least 10-16 people if you've got a large group. I'm sure they can also push some tables together for you too. I will also say that surprisingly their small is actually a large if you were to get it at other places. Oh! Did I mention it was fast, not but 5 mins after I ordered my veggie pho, it came out of the kitchen. I will definitely be back! I love my PhoMania but I think Pho Saigon has taken over my heart and taste buds. I'm not even going to take off one star for the terrible parking situation because when I went it wasn't super busy, so I didn't have a major time getting a spot. But the parking is weird. Passing through Olympia and found this delightful restaurant on Yelp. The previous reviews were spot on. Not much talking once the dishes arrived! We both had steaming soups ; pho with beef brisket and noodle soup with chicken broth with all the traditional accompaniments. I'll be honest. I was really surprised when I saw bun bo hue on the menu. You don't even find it in most Vietnamese restaurants closer to Seattle or if you do find it, they just use pho broth and chili oil to it. After a long night of drinking and then sitting in hours of traffic from Portland, this bowl of noodles was the perfect recovery meal.
