Lucky golden Buddha ! Look at all that money trees !

I came to lunch the other day with my younger brother. This is a small Vietnamese style restaurant with a lot of heart. Small place with good food. I ordered the tofu style fresh spring roll. It came with a peanut sauce within the roll of itself. It had freshly fried tofu which impressed me and inside it was solid with a crunchy spring roll like thing in the middle in, which gives it a great texture. The second dish I order was their vermicelli noodle bowl with tofu. I asked the waiter to give me peanut sauce on the side instead of the soy sauce type of sauce. I believe the waiter mistaken me to have the tofu stirfry in peanut sauce in which they did that was completely no complaint there for me it made the much more delicious. Overall, I added my classic hoisin sauce and Sriracha onto the vermicelli noodle bowl mix and tossed it together to have a delicious noodle salad type dish. It was light and delicious and had all the flavors and they hit all the right notes. My brother got the number one combination bowl. He said that food was quite delicious. The soup was OK. He said it was heavily seasoned with spices, but not much of a beef bone flavor. But his bowl he said it was quite good with the meat portions overall fresh, raw beef, steaks, beef, brisket, beef, tendon, tripe, beef balls, and usually plate of veggies that come with PHO . He said it was pretty good for a small restaurant. One thing I noticed was there were tons of people that came in and out especially doing takeout orders so I believe this place does pretty decent business. We went to after lunch about 2:30PM and shockingly there was tons of to go orders and about 4 table of people on a Tuesday. Definitely if you're in the neighborhood if you want something new that solid small Vietnamese restaurant with good food is definitely worth a try. What is your favorite dish here?

Ample parking and tables available. Service is quick. Food: - Beef Stew (3/5): more of a broth than a stew, did not hit the spot. - Shrimp rolls (5/5): can't go wrong - Pho Dat Biet (4/5): comforting, but not the best I ever had

It was our first time here and upon sitting down at our table, we noticed that there were a lot of regulars so we knew this was going to be a good place. It was nice to see that the host was also taking good care and regularly checking up on people. Now come to the food, we got the tofu pho, tofu vermicelli bowl, and tofu banh mi, all of which were excellent. Now the tofu pho is not vegetarian because they use chicken soup and I'm not sure if the fish sauce for the vermicelli bowl was vegetarian either. But everything tasted incredible and fresh. If it wasnt so far to us, we would have become regulars too!!

Probably wont go back since we don't live in that area. Very mid food. Ok to meh service. Pretty small shop, inside tables and floor were sticky. Menu has a-lot going on. We got a Pho, Seafood soup, Egg rolls and Shrimp spring roll. The broth wasn't warm. Little to no protein in both soup noodle. Flavors were bland. The part that got us was how the man who worked there, just ignored us from the time we walked in. Bad vibes if you know what I mean. Private lot in front though

It was my first time trying their garlic noodles with Korean-style short ribs (galbi), and it was delicious. The noodles were thick and chewy with a rich, garlicky, buttery flavor. The short ribs were excellent. They were perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. I was initially worried that the galbi flavor might clash with the garlic noodles, but they paired surprisingly well. Everything was super yummy. The ambiance was pretty standard, though the restaurant itself was super cold inside (in the winter). On the plus side, the service was good and quick.

The handsome young man with the nice haircut is always SO FUNNY! When he takes our order he says, "Annnnd," after everything we choose and then he says how soon until quitting time. The broth is always so fresh and flavorful, the meat is juicy and tender and the noodles are perfect. The best peanut sauce in the East Bay, too! I'm coming back!

Great family ran spot that has a hearty bun rieu! There's plenty of seats on the outside and inside. Owner is really friendly and service is quick. Spring rolls were very fresh and the crunch made it even better. The bun rieu is probably one of the most flavorful ones I've had and you can really taste the crab which i appreciated. Would come back to try the other dishes!

There's a small parking lot, which is convenient. The staff was very friendly with quick service. The inside is small, but the owner is very welcoming and creates a warm atmosphere. It looks like they get a lot of rgualrs and takeout orders here. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue and was disappointed that it came out lukewarm, which made it less enjoyable. Other than the temperature issue, everything was tasty. The broth had good flavor without being too spicy, and the portion size was solid. Overall, friendly service and good flavors, but I wish the soup had been served hot.

===TL;DR=== - Spicy beef noodle soup w/ no greens - Vermicelli ===TMI=== Seems to be a neighborhood favorite as a lot of families were there when I went. Good spot for a quick fix. I notice a lot of folks also ordered takeout. Not the best BBH I've had but I'm curious to try their pho next time. They have good hot sauces tho!

Bread to chicken ratio is way off. Sandwich had lil to no mayonnaise. So it was quite dry! Bread was crunchy and good.
    Evette S.

Ordered the Vietnamese sandwich. The bread was of good quality. The only problem was there was too much bread to chicken ratio. Lil to no mayonnaise only added to the dryness of the sandwich. The flavor was lacking and there are inconsistencies in the cut of the vegetables. I recently had an excellent bahn mi on the other side of town so this was a huge disappointment. Another thing...I checked the reviews and online the sandwiches were marked $3/less. So I was surprised when he gave me the total for the bill. I don't think I'll be back. I'd rather drive to the other side of town and be happy/satisfied.

Compared to the Tri-Valley, I think San Leandro has a larger and better selection of Vietnamese restaurants. We frequented Saigon House for lunch twice and both times the food was excellent. Service is quick and efficient, and there's plenty of seating inside and outside. Another plus is that they have two clean unisex bathrooms in the back next to the kitchen. I recommend: * Garlic noodles with grilled chicken - Sounds simple but this is true comfort food. Thin, chewy round noodles with tons of ginger-garlic-scallion flavors and some seriously juicy chicken meat. *Grilled pork over rice - The texture of the pork seems ground to me, so its more like a pork satay as compared to say, pork loin. If you want a chewier texture, get the pork chop instead. The flavor of the pork are a good balance of gingery and salty, and the soft texture makes the dish toddler friendly too. *I like how you can mix and match side items to add some more protein: grilled chicken, grilled pork, pork chop, Kalbi, or in our case, some crispy fish cakes with that sweet-sour dipping sauce. * For Pho, my wife liked #19 which has all the beefy items while leaving out the tripe and tendon. Plenty of parking in the shared parking lot. They also have a solid takeout business and can crank up large party trays of stuff for catering.

Recently I had take out via Grubhub from this place. My order was fresh spring rolls with shrimps, shrimp and calamari salad, and beef rib pho. The food was amazing. The spring roll was fresh. I particularly enjoyed the shrimp and calamari (squid) salad, I found it unique with tangy and sweet sauce. Whereas the pho came with the short rib with bone. The broth was fresh and light. Overall, the food was amazing with the unique flavoring.

Amazing taste of food here. The bbh was flavorful and a huge portion of it as well. Service was quick. We had the wings served first and the rest was great. The thai tea here was the best i had. I had to order another one to go!! This is one of the spot if you are ever in san leandro

What comes on the banh mi, does it just have meat and veggies?

Pretty much. A little meat with veggies and sliced jalapeños on a bun. Unfortunately, I haven't tried the Saigon banh mi yet, so it could vary from what I'm used to.

I love all places that have a theme that sets them apart from other establishments. Especially ones that have names for their menu items that are jovial. There's ample seating and the place is fun inside, with comic books on the walls, toys displayed and bright colors everywhere it really gives a burst of dopamine when you come in. We were greeted initially by the gentleman at the counter. He was super friendly and asked if we had any questions. Idk bout yall but when we go somewhere and the person refers to you as "boss" you can kinda feel the vibe that you're gonna get good service. And it was exactly spot on. The dude helped us with questions we had and after ordering let us know he'd bring our food to us. We waited a couple mins and our food came out! Initially my first thought was "damn, they're not stingy with their portions here!" We opted for the Goku fries and a regular Deadpool sandwich. It being our first time we wanted to try different flavors. BRUH, that food smacked SO HARD! We slammed everything and kept saying, wow this is good. The ingredients were fresh, the green sauce (whatever it is) was delicious on our sandwich! We will for sure be back & tell all of our friends about this place!

We tried the Ed Edd and Eddy and the Mr. Burns. Both were really good on Dutch crunch. We also customized our sandwiches by adding pickles, banana peppers and onions. We'll be back to try their fries and other sandwiches.

The menu was not complex and I like it with the colored photos and description of what you are getting. The pricing was moderately comparable to the similar Vietnamese restaurant around (banh mi was cheaper here than other places around). We ordered the house special banh mi and it was very good! The bread and meat ratio was on perfect... not skimpy on the meat, yet not too overpowering. The bread was fresh.. crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside (comparable to Lee's). We also ordered the special house pho, the broth was perfect in my opinion... not too salty or watered down, meat was tender but i think our noodle was a tad overcooked because it was clumped together and broke apart.. none the less it was delicious. We also tried the Bo Ne sizzling platter and that was delicious! Came out pipping hot and sizzling...the steak was tender and juicy (I ate it with a spoon). The meatball was soft, egg cooked over easy and paired well with the gravy/sauce... The sausage is a tad sweet, but if you eat it with the bread it tapers off the sweetness. Overall the portion was perfect for me and the taste satisfied what I was craving for, and I did not have to drive to San Jose for both the Bo Ne and the Banh Mi. I will definitely come back to try their other items. So far this place will make it to my lunch rotation list!
