    Pho
    Rosita L.

Called in last minute to make reservation, was so nice to get the table ready for me within 40 minutes for 7 people. Ordered pho, shaking beef, banh xeo, and others that I could not remember. Their pho was good, big portion and full of meat. Unfortunately the sirloin was overcooked and the other parts of the meat have too much fats in them, so it was down on the score. Their shaking beef was also meh, very thin and overly sweet, probably not their strongest dish. Banh xeo was full of meat and fillings, but not particularly crispy. All in all, it was tasty but only lacking a bit here and there. Their service was pretty good though. Their restaurants are also huge, which is a plus.

This place used to the spot! I think they don't have the same cook or it's under different management but honestly the service and the food is not great like it used it. The pho has a different taste. We ordered plate #16 and holy cow! It was ridiculously salty . The rice tasted old and had plastic aftertaste . Everyone else seemed to be pretty bothered with the service as well. We ordered popcorn chicken and fries and honestly....it looked more like pork, had a weird taste and I don't know why fries had a brown look to it Overall, I do not recommend this place anymore!

8.7/10 Food was great!!! Started with the spring rolls not the most perfectly wrapped and a little light on the shrimp, but still fresh and tasty. The dipping sauce wasn't bad either, and I'd definitely order them again. The pho was delicious! The noodles came out a bit clumped together at first, but once broken up the flavor was spot on and every bite was worth it. The real highlight, though, was the chicken bánh mì warm toasted bun, perfectly grilled chicken, crisp veggies, and just the right kick of spice. A must-try! Service was fast and efficient with a great waitress. The space is big, lively, and even though it was fairly busy, everything came out quickly. Overall, an awesome spot for Vietnamese food and I'll be back!

Coming from the Bay with tons of pho choices, this one was a little disappointing. Our party all got pho, the broth was on the sweet side and lack of flavors. Definitely the sweetest broth I've ever had, in a bad way. The beef in the soup was kind of tough and chewy. Service was alright but they brought out all the noodles and never brought the appetizer shrimp spring rolls. I had to go ask them at the counter. I think they forgot about it because it took a while to come, there was not explanation or apology. Probably won't be coming back since nothing stood out.

Came here for some pho after a long workweek, and the Medium #2 (rare steak pho) totally hit the spot - absolute comfort food! I also tried their "new" garlic pork spring rolls and they were BOMB! Topped it all off with a taro boba shake to satisfy my sweet tooth :) The pho here is so good, a fellow customer approached me at my table asking what I ordered - because it looked delicious - so she could order it too! I didn't even add any condiments; the broth is so flavorful on its own, the rice noodles perfectly al dente, the beef tender and savory, with onions, cilantro, sprouts, basil and jalapeños to round out the dish. The restaurant is cozy with plenty of seating, and the staff are friendly and attentive. They also have bánh mì sandwiches, noodle & rice plates, and other variations of soup. Would 10/10 recommend this spot to fix your Vietnamese food craving in Salinas!

There was a ROACH in my food. I pulled back the plastic on my spring rolls and a roach crawled out. Huge safety concern and it seems by the photos on here this is not the first time someone's found a roach in their food. I am disappointed I have to write this review because I love the food and they're basically the only Vietnamese spot on Uber Eats. But this is just gross. I hope they can get this problem sorted!

Don't get me wrong the person at the counter who took my order was really sweet! Walking in it looked nice and cozy. I took my order to go thought . A drink and food brought my total to 23$'s with some change. - I got a brown sugar milk tea with some boba which was not too sweet but not too bland just right for me at least! -I also ordered the vermicelli noodles with shrimp AND beef. Which I got to say I was a little baffled at the fact that I was only given 2 shrimps. I don't know if it's just how it is here or the fact that I'm used to getting a little more protein when it comes to these foods.. but none the less first time there it was alright I might just go for boba here and there and maybe some noodles if I'm REALLY craving it.

Very cozy and quiet, I enjoyed a delicious lunch. Service was attentive and polite.. I enjoyed shrimp and pork spring rolls, the pork was delicious. My fried egg rolls were perfect and they provided plenty of lettuce for wrapping.

One thing to know--this place gets very busy, especially during peak hours, so be prepared for a wait. But trust me, it's absolutely worth it. The quality of the food and service makes every minute and every dollar worthwhile. My personal favorite is the fried catfish plate. It's so good that I have to order it every single time we visit! Crispy, flavorful, and always cooked perfectly. If you're looking for great food, excellent service, and a restaurant that's worth the wait, this is the place. Highly recommended!

We decided to get the large bbq chicken and grilled chicken plates with the fried rice option. My friend added veggies to her bbq chicken plate and we each added a shrimp egg roll. Our food came out very fast and we laughed at the generous portions. Thomas made sure we had everything we needed and we had an assortment of sauces on the table to spruce up our dishes to our liking. All in all the food is good but wouldn't say we were wowed. The bbq chicken was both our favorites and I highly recommend that dish! The service was excellent, Thomas did everything right! The ambiance is low key, kind of has a hole in the wall feel, super casual. My one complaint is that the floors are SUPER slick and a major fall hazard. They have floor carpets everywhere to probably help with that but the tile sections are small death traps. (Yikes)

We were passing through Salinas on our way home from the mini cow farm and decided to stop here for dinner based on their high rating and while we were skeptical because were unfamiliar with the area, this place delivered!!! No restrooms! We hopped into Pollo Loco, used them, and headed back over. The place is small with multiple two top seaters. We were the only ones in there and ordered the fried chicken over fried rice, beef pad see ew, and thai teas. While we waited, multiple people who all seemed like regulars came in. First, it was someone who came here to order on their WORK BREAK to be sure it would be ready for come pick up when they were off work. Then it was an ol timer who the cashier greeted by name! A young woman with an older relative came next and the elder greeted the cashier in Thai! By this point, we had gotten our food and it was so good that I had one of those Ratatoullie flash backs to the first time I ever tried fried rice in my childhood!!! The pad see ew was more of an 8/10 for me but I do think it would be a 10/10 with chicken. The fried chicken over rice was a perfect 10/10. Im pretty sure they use corn starch to fry their chicken instead of flour because the breading stayed on the chicken and didn't slip off the way others can and also, you cannot deny the crunch of this dish!! Thai tea was also very good. Crisp and flavorful without being too sweet. I love thai tea but sometimes their so sweet I can see my prediabetic diagnosis on the cup. I think adding boba would really elevate it but still recommend it! Now, while we were eating, a family of 4 came in and after completing their order, they asked if they could add a mango sticky rice to their order. The cashier apologizes and said they were sold out for the day. It was 5:30 pm. They close at 8:00 pm. I was immediately sad I never got the option to try a dessert so delicious it sells out before closing. I mentioned going before the end of the month at the start and thats because the cashier took a call where he told the customer that "no they were not closed yet" and that "they would be here through the end of the month." The cashier then mentioned to a regular that they were handing over the restaurant to his cousin and while they will have the same recipes, he is not sure if the food will be the same. I also think I heard him mention something about getting a spot in Monterey and you can bet good money that if they do, ima be there.
