A small Vietnamese restaurant located in a small business strip building. I think they're known for their Pho because everyone there ordered it except for us. We went with the Siagon Combo for the appetizer. I loved all the dipping options they give you and who doesn't love fried food. I'd rate it 8/10. The chow fun was good and full of meat and big pieces of meat. I'd rate it 8/10. The sizzling steak, shrimp & potatoes were a split rating. I was expecting actual potatoes not fries over a steam bath. Fries aren't a great pairing with this dish and they didn't get eaten. Great takeout experience! The guy who took my phone order was so friendly, efficient and professional. I was told it would take 10-15 minutes for my order; it was ready in less than 9 minutes. Was doing some errands to escape the news. Spouse texted and wanted Chinese food. I was in the area and ordered chicken lomein for him, egg rolls for me. I commented that I wish they had bahn mi sandwiches. The girl working gave me another menu and I ordered a chicken bahn mi sandwich. The cost was $35 for all food. Not really a cheap place to get takeout from. The egg roll was really good dunked in fish sauce. They filled the fish container to the top. I only ate 1 so have leftovers for tomorrow. The Bahn mi sandwich had brown chicken meat but it was Teriyaki seasoned. The meat portion was huge. The sandwich was spendy at $13 but worth it. I also only ate half. Spouse liked Lo Mein. They were so friendly here. Only negative feedback is to remove peeling wallpaper border and repaint by bathroom. Maintenance is super important and leaves a nice first impression. Saigon palace is hands down my favorite place for Pho in the entire metro area. Their food is authentic and full of unique flavors. Every time we go there it's the same people working and they are always very friendly and give top-notch service. I always order an extra large lean beef pho (P2 on the menu). The dish is out within minutes. The aromatic blend of ingredients wafts into your nose right away and makes you practically drool. I've been to places where the lean beef slices of pho are too chewy and tough, but Saigon Palace gets it just right every time. The best part of this dish is not the beef though, it's the broth. They use the best blend of spices and ingredients because I could drink this broth like water. In addition, they give you a healthy helping of jalapeños, bean sprouts, Thai basil and chili flakes. The ambiance is simple and nothing fancy, my favorite parts are the fish tank full of koi fish and the traditional Vietnamese music. I try to go here at least once a month and highly, highly recommend this spot. read more

Two years ago, almost of the day, I visited Saigon Palace with my daughter as we celebrated her 10th birthday with an overnight trip to the Cities. Now her 12th birthday, she wanted to re-create that trip including our dinner at Saigon Palace, which she still raves about. We were reminded immediately why we love this place upon entering. The staff is so welcoming and treats us like an extension of their own family. Beyond the amazing service and staff, the food is excellent. While last time we had spring rolls, this time we tried the Vietnamese egg rolls and they were phenomenal. Great flavor and crisp. She had the chicken pho and I had the lean beef and flank pho. Both of us ordered the Super Bowl size but I was the only one that finished mine... It was so good I could've eaten a whole 'nother one. Seriously, I could've. Already looking forward to our next visit even though I don't know when it will be as we live far away. We love this place - we come here regularly. My husband and I came on a Friday night at 6 pm. The seating area is not large, but there were about 3 tables open. By 7:15, when we were leaving, there were no tables available. The food came out fast, and the service was very good. They have great pho with plenty of add-ins - Thai basil, bean sprouts, limes, jalapenos, and all the sauces. This visit, we shared the Pho tai "super bowl" (which is their largest size), and we had 2 orders of egg rolls. The flavor of the broth in their pho is wonderful, and I love the beef slices! *Note* - Generally, wonderful Asian restaurants are in strip malls, and often aren't particularly clean. We have eaten at this place several times in the past year of living in the suburbs and I'm impressed each time with everything we have ordered. We usually order pho here and tend to get the beef one. The meat is tender and the broth is phenomenal. Lots of flavor without being too salty or overpowering. Great portions for the price too. We have ordered the wontons in the past which were good, but not our favorite. I felt like they didn't have much filling compared to other restaurants with wontons. The spring rolls with peanut sauce were delicious! Nice and fresh. Overall this place really shines with their pho but I've recently discovered that their Chinese food is amazing as well! We have tried the Mongolian beef, general tso's chicken, and spicy schezuan chicken. All have been delicious. They always satisfy my Chinese food craving - for some reason I'm really on a Chinese food kick lately and it really hits the spot! We went to eat there yesterday for Fathers Day because my husband was in the mood for Chinese and we recently moved further away so takeout isn't as realistic. The food was incredible. I'm writing an update for two reasons: one I'm hoping my addition of another 5 star review, now that I've done dine-in equates to ten stars. I try to wait for pho reviews, especially if I've only done take out because it's a risk reviewing the quality of the pho when it's not freshly served, but now that I've done dine-in, I would recommend it even more. I am a pho enthusiast, but this place's pho is so flavorful. I have gone to Vietnam multiple times and tried the pho there, I've eaten pho in various places in the states, but this place lives up to the standard of flavorful pho. If you're looking for fine dining, this isn't it. If you're looking for great tastes, sticky tables, and random fish tanks everywhere ( I saw three), this is it. The owner came up to us around 3-4 times to have long conversations about his food. You can tell he is proud of his pho and there's a reason to be. When it arrived, it had black pepper in it and I whispered to my husband, "hun, I think this is the real pho" and what I meant was that it is filled with all the right spices and flavors that make the broth rich, no holding back. The large is smaller than other places mediums (which is just right) and the egg rolls... oh those egg rolls. The egg rolls are a bite into outer space and back in your mouth. The crispy outer shell and the juicy inner shell with the oil dripping is what I'm talking about! It was so delicious that we ordered it again to take home and air fry it. My husband asked the owner why the egg rolls were so good and his response was hilarious. He explained there's a special method because the outer shell is fragile and higher pricing for the ingredients. He also offered to take us to the market and lend us some if we wanted to try it at home! The sesame chicken was also good. We love this place and will definitely be back.
