Really good pho! Large portions that weren't pricey. Got the tenderized meat + brisket combo and loved the tenderized meat. Brisket was just a little tough. Brother flavor was great. Also enjoyed their spicy chili crisp. They had nuoc beo/fatty broth and hanh dam/vinegar pickled onions upon request. I'm quite picky when it comes to Viet food, but this place exceeded my expectations. Came here on a Saturday, so it was quite busy. It's a plus that it's connected to a grocery store too. Everything in the restaurant screams Vietnamese lol, but what sold me was their menu. They have specialty dishes that are usually not at typical Viet restaurants (banh canh cua, etc). I had the bun bo hue because it's my go-to to gauge how good a Viet restaurant it. $16 for a bowl with pork hock is fair. There was also pork blood, so you know it's the real deal. I could taste the deep shrimp paste flavor and pineapple in the broth. That's a good sign. We also ordered an appetizer plate with egg rolls, spring rolls, and chicken wings. Overall, great place to go if you're craving some Viet food and can also get some grocery shopping done. I definitely want to try other things on the menu. read more

My main dish was Pho Tai Nam. Fresh rice noodle with just the right amount of firmness. Savory clear beef broth, fresh green onion, cilantro, bean sprouts, tender beef and flank. Delightful. On note on the restaurant itself: it's located insider/ adjacent to Saigon Market. The place is simple, clean, brightly lit. Located to the right of the market, there is a sign noting whether they would seat you or you seat yourself. Service was super quick - menus and water within the first minute of sitting down and food within 10 minutes. We ordered the Vietnamese Grilled Pork Sausage Spring Rolls, Crab Soup with Thick Noodle, Fried Egg Banh Mi. According to my partner, the Bahn Mi was solid. I really enjoyed the spring rolls and the crab soup was delicious, filled with meat, and seemed never ending even though I was starving. All in all it was a great late lunch for us and I would look forward to coming back and trying other items. read more

Janet was our server she was nice served us with a smile, very helpful with the menu and very attentive to our needs. I ordered shrimp spring rolls and my girlfriend ordered the pork egg rolls. The shrimp rolls were great generous portion and they weren't stingy with the shrimp. We ordered pho, I had shrimp pho with chicken, and my other half got the beef pho. Located inside Saigon Market, this place changed ownership and names. Food still taste the same and just like anywhere else dine in always taste the best. They don't have a menu for you to take but when you get there you can scan a QR code for the menu. Staffs are friendly and when I called and place my order I was told it'll be 20 mins but I didn't actually get my order closer to 35-40 mins later because they caught my order was made incorrectly. I'm glad they took the extra time to double check rather than giving me the order. If you haven't tried their 5 spice chicken wings are really good!! Eggs rolls are a hit or miss, sometimes it can be over fried causing it to be burnt. As mentioned about dine in is better than take out especially when you want pho. One pho had thicker rice noodles, while the other had thinner rice noodles. The thinner were preferred. Waited awhile, maybe 15-20 min, but was freshly cooked and packed to go. All very good. I have been coming here for over a year. It is easily my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the metro. Egg rolls are best around, Banh Mi is great, Pho is top 3 I have ever had, rice platters are really good. Haven't had anything I don't love. I have ate at over 15 of the better or more well known Vietnamese restaurants across the metro including Que Viet, Lotus, Quang, Pho Tau Bay, Pho Pasteur, Pho 79, Pho Mai etc. etc. and this place beats them all. Otherwise regular sized bowl had huuuuge portion. Great broth. 2. My sister who is vegan ordered vegetable pho but they do not have veggie broth. It would be nice if they had vegan broth options for vegetable pho and maybe with tofu added as a protein option like a lot of the other places. 3. Egg rolls : they were really good. This is a pretty nice dining spot for delicious Vietnamese, tucked away inside of an also-really-nice Asian Market with all sorts of goodies to buy before or afterwards also -- That is once you're able to actually find a parking space that's not taken up by all the Shooter's Billiards patrons, or swallowed up by one of the many crater-sized potholes (seriously, this lot looks like a scene out of 'War Horse' or 'All Quiet on the Western Front'!) The staff are really nice and accommodating though, especially for how late and busy it got on Friday night. So, I try to not get too hung up on the parking lot situation as it's probably not 100% this establishment's responsibility. I ordered the Chef special pho, which was sooo good! Honestly this is probably the best pho I've had yet. The broth was not too spicy but spicy enough, which is just about perfect for my tastes. And, the pork roll and beef flank were absolutely superb! The fresh spring rolls and sauce were pretty tasty, too. The Pho is the best I've had so far in the Minneapolis area. I have lived in both Orange County Little Saigon Area and Oakland so I know good pho when I try it. It is located in an Asian grocery store so you can pick up all the standards such as fish sauce and more. The ambiance is like a typical hole in the wall restaurant and the service is great. One of the best spots in the twin cities for Vietnamese food. The veggie Pho is something very special and is heavenly. I lived off of it for a couple of weeks after Surgery. Super friendly staff. One of our favorite places to enjoy authentic, comfort Vietnamese food and shop for groceries every weekend. We live in the south side of Twin Cities. There are a few special dishes that they do well here. Kids love their "Banh Xeo" and I like "Bun Bo Hue". Everyone loves "Pho", obviously. Also, fried egg rolls are the best here. Restaurant ownership went through some change recently but food is still the same great taste. Staff is mostly the same people in the back. Nice to see they are trying to keep things affordable here. This place took over the what was then Pho 45 about a month ago when I asked. The menu is different. Their grilled pork is significantly mediocre compared to Pho 45. Eggroll is okay and pho is ok. Nothing to rave about. If you want a basic Asian spot, this fits the bill. Basically, this is the lower version of what was once a super delicious Asian place which is such a bummer :( Pho 45 moved to Lakeville so it looks like I'll have to head over there for my fix now. read more
