The interior is so cute! They have lit up pillowy lights on the ceiling and a sushi bar as well as alcohol bar. I tried the coconut roll for under $12 (coconut shrimp, mango, cucumber, avocado, wrapped in soy paper w/ house mango sauce). This was not your conventional sushi roll! It was slightly sweet & pretty refreshing. I enjoyed the unconventional soy paper wrap & its presentation. I also had the Osaka roll (spicy tuna, spicy crabmeat, avocado, white tuna, mayo, eel sauce, rooster sauce, tobiko and scallions) for $12 thought that it was subpar to the coconut roll because it was too salty for me. I loved all of the ingredients but just wished there was less salty brown sauce (eel sauce) on top. There were tons of specialty rolls to choose from so I will definitely venture back to try some more. The combo fried rice (comes with different meats + shrimp) was really delicious & so were the Vietnamese egg rolls (that come with a little bit of pickled carrot/daikon, lettuce & noodles). I really loved how vast the menu was & how many dessert options they had (includes: mango sticky rice, mochi, fried banana with ice cream, chocolate cake, chesecake & key lime cake). They also deliver (free w/in 3 mi radius)! This is the 1st time I've seen a place where you can get both pho & sushi. It is a win win for me. We decided to try Saigon Tokyo based on all the good reviews. I am really shocked that so many love this place. If only 1 dish was bad, I'd think, okay, any place can have a bad night, but everything was beyond bad. I had sushi. I ordered 10 individual pieces of sushi & 2 rolls. Now, I wiil say that nothing smelled fishy or off, but the fish, and I do mean all 5 varieties I ordered were so mushy, I spit each piece out as getting sick was not in my evening plan. The red clam was so chewy, I literally could not bite through it. It was like a mouth fill of rubber bands. The spicy tuna & the salmon/avocado roll weren't bad, but I was afraid to eat based on the quality of everything else. Also, the wasabi tobiko must have just been died green or so old it lost it's potency. It literally had no taste whatsoever, let alone any wasabi heat. So, it's not only just the sushi. My mother-in-law had kung pao chicken. It was so overpowered with vinegar, we couldn't taste anything else. The other thing we ordered was chicken fried rice, a staple at any Asian restaurant. Again, no flavor whatsoever. We tried adding a variety of Asian sauces we keep in our pantry & nothing helped. It might be because the rice was so mushy if my eyes were closed I would have no clue I was eating rice. A little confused by the rest of these reviews. Did an order for pickup and the sushi was alright... But the rest of food not so much. We didn't even eat what we ordered. The food tasted like it was fried in old oil and the fried rice tasted like it was made with old oil on a dirty top or wok. The food tasted dirty, there's no mistaking that taste. I've never dined in, only take out. Its usually 10 to 20 minutes depending on when I call and its delicious! The Western Roll and Futo Maki are great vegetarian options. I've ordered a few of the noodle dishes but they're really not worth it. Just go for the sushi! read more

Oh hell yes!! I feel like the sushi selection in aurora hasn't been that good. This place is awesome! There were a ton of specialty rolls to choose from, will have to come back to try more. We had the miso, Brandon roll, 2 kinds of spicy tuna and spicy scallop rolls. The sake and beer are 2 for 1 at happy hour. The food was delicious and service was good. Ordered take out from here yesterday. Their Philadelphia roll and cheese wontons were awesome. We also had an order of volcano rolls and spicy tuna. Both were very good but nothing special. The prices weren't too bad either. Didn't sit down but from what I saw everything was pretty clean and nice. It's close to the house so if we don't want to make the drive to Sushi Katsu, we will be back. The yellowfin was very generous, tender, and fresh. The coconut roll was a cool surprise. I never had another like it. It was a bit like desert. We loved it. My husband was a huge fan of the Yaki Soba. He said it was the best he has had since he was stationed in Japan. I enjoyed it too. I started off with the fried calamari appetizer, it was cooked perfectly and it paired well with the spicy mayo it was served with.
