BBQ pork vermicelli bowl. Includes a broth or soup.

We're here from Texas and don't know the area, so relied on Yelp to find good Vietnamese noodles. This place had good reviews for their rice noodles and we were not disappointed. There were 3 of us, and we all got some version of the vermicelli bowls. My bbq pork was actually fire grilled and flavorful, and the portion was generous. It came with a brothy soup as well. I'd definitely come back if I lived in San Rafael.

Lately, Marin has seen an influx of Asian-inspired restaurants, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese and more. Even lowly Novato just got a new Ramen house (Yosumi) thanks to Pearl and her family. And of course La Maison de la Riene recently moved from Corte Madera to Novato as well, which is great! San Rafael has a number of choices for Pho including the new Pho by the main post office, but I have to say that my all-time favorite after 20 years in Marin continues to be Saigon Kitchen. Their breadth of offerings, from noodle soup to rice plates and more is almost laughable - it takes forever just to go through their menu. And EVERYTHING I've tried there is always delicious. I almost always order the wonton noodle soup, and I always get the small size - I can't imagine who could finish the large! The venue is so interesting. The back garden is wonderful, with the huge Koi tank and the assortment of plants growing in and around the patio. I love sitting out there in the summertime. The indoor seating area behind the register is becoming a bit of a motorcycle shop with three large tool cribs that mostly seem to be used a filing cabinets! The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly, and are very welcoming and patient with my elderly dad. Kudos. We'll keep coming back weekly.

Very good pho. This place is so interesting with the many seating areas both inside and out. Will have to come back and try the other things on the menu. Just a note, you have to go to the register to pay. They don't bring the bill to the table. We weren't told and kept siting waiting for the check. lol.

Authentic vietnamese restaurant with a very inviting outdoor garden seating area. There's a little koi pond with too many koi that is nice to sit by. The inside is a low key casual spot that is darker. Service is typical and the food is very good. We enjoy the vermicelli, rice plates, and the beef stew. The large stew is enough to share between two people with an appetizer. The shrimp cake was very crispy.

The absolute best pho I have ever had in my life!!! I am a pho connoisseur and this place nails it! This is my PHO-avorite spot and I am a PHO-requent customer! The staff is always amazing and helpful. Love love love this place. Could not recommend it more!

I'm such a fan Saigon Village Restaurant and love to eat outside in their green garden oasis. The service is chill, sweet, and food comes out fast. The vegetarian fake chicken rice noodle soup is my automatics choice. It's salty, refreshing, and comes in a big bowl. The fresh rolls are wonderful with incredible peanut sauce. The vegetarian options are great and filling.

We thought okay, good time to try different dishes. After a forty minute wait, we reminded our server of our order. We could see how much was going on but other tables who had come after us had been served. She apologized profusely. She had forgotten to enter our order. We waited some more and I finally asked her if we could be served something quick to prepare like the tea leaf salad. This came. Delicious as always. We asked that the rest of our order be comped and this was granted. When our order came, the hoisin ribs were outstanding; the mushroom medley garlic noodles were missing the mushrooms; the green bean shrimp stir fry had tough inedible green beans. We left all the green beans and the rice which was dry and compacted, not fluffy at all. This is not at all the usual high caliber of cooking you normally get at Burmatown. Lesson learned. Remind the server sooner. We were one of the earlier tables and finished as the second to the last table at lunch service. We will be back for the outstanding hoisin ribs, the mushroom noodles and of course, the terrific chicken pumpkin curry which is normally available.

We got two types of plantains as our apps: sweet fried and savory fried, with the latter pounded flat and improved with some of the tableside housemade chilli water. But my crispy chicken tacos I ordered were actually taquitos - unclear from the menu and not what I was hoping for. The chicken inside was dry and bland and the avocado sauce obviously made from unripe avocados and foul. The only saving grace was the bed of greens which was actually perfectly dressed in a light lemon dressing. My poor friend ordered the vegetarian taco plate and it arrived deconstructed. Tortillas, a bowl of watery beans, a heap of pickled onions, an uncut whole pickled jalapeño, and two long blocks of white cheese - I thought it was tofu!
