Thank you Thai Smile for nourishing our stomachs and our spirits. We so appreciate the generosity. We are a group of ~10 artists. Thai Smile donated food to fuel us for an evening of rehearsals. Nearly everyone went back for seconds of the Chicken Pad Thai. Delicious and so appreciated! We will be sending audience members your way before and after the show

[[HIGHLIGHT]]All great - food, service, and venue (ambiance).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We went there after a very long hike in Cataract Falls. This small Thai restaurant is a gem in San Rafael, Ca. We received a very good service from the owner herself and the place is very cozy. The foods are great from the soup to the main dish which we prefer to be spicy.

Lovely waitress and great service. Food not de great bet definitely eatable. The papaya salad was small, and lacked flavor. The pad kee mao lacked flavor did have nicely cooked green beans and chicken was good-ish, but noodles all mashed up and not enough spices. The soup was very basic. Your answer is so so [[HIGHLIGHT]]there is a lot of clutter on one side of the restaurant and the restrooms are not that clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pad broccoli and fried basil rice worst dinner in my life hostess walked out to seat a table and had 4 packs of frozen rice

As we seated after 5:30 PM, it took about 25 minutes for me to get my chai tea before I got that the other tables got their drinks and their appetizers even though we had already put our Mail order in 15 minutes before they even placed their drinks. My guy had to get up and go ask for our drinks as we seen her seating. Another couple she had four packs of saran wrapped frozen rice. The next thing we heard was the microwave go off and I knew where you're in trouble we almost left and then when we got our pad, broccoli dish with pork, the pork was tasteless so tough and the broccoli had ages of old looking broccoli on it. Carrots was OK. The rice was very mushy and oily needless to say it was a tasteless dinner and I will never return there. The chai tea was good though.

We came here on a Tuesday night feeling in the mood for some Thai food. Some friends recommended this place and said the food was really good and had to try it out. We tried the Pad See Ew (Beef) (2.5/5), Pad Thai (Chicken) (4/5), Yellow Curry (Chicken) (5/5), and the fried tofu (3/5). The service was amazing. We didn't like our original order which was 2 pad see ew beefs and called the restaurant to see if it was possible to exchange the food for a different meal. The lady who answered was super sweet and said that it was okay and allowed us to choose something else from the menu. The menu items were fairly priced and they give large portions. We ended up paying $39 for 2 entrees and an appetizer. It's a very small restaurant with a comforting feeling to it, not many people were dining inside but I would definitely come sit down here The pad see ew wasn't our favorite, the meat had a very strong meaty taste to it and lacked the qualities we normally like in pad see ew. We prefer a slightly sweet taste to our pad see ew but felt like the dish was not meeting our expectations. The pad Thai and yellow curry WERE SUPER GOOD. We recommend getting chicken at this restaurant and avoiding the beef. Our favorite was definitely the yellow curry. The fried tofu tasted good as well, but nothing too special. It was still a comforting appetizer that tasted good and we had no complaints about it. Please come support this local business, the lady is the sweetest!

This #ThankYouThursday - Today discovered the best Thai place very close to me. Called Thai Smile to see if they were open for sit down lunch. Abs yes they were . Walked into a beautiful cozy restaurant that had all the Thai themes in it felt like a little home . Were greeted by a lovely little grandma who was very enthusiastic. We ordered the Tom Yum it was very spicy but delicious. Got the pumpkin curry with chicken and the curry noodle soup with chicken and shrimp, Omg everything was delicious and to the point . Flavorful and just good for the soul especially with the cool weather. Great pricing as well and worth coming to check out if your close by.

Small parking lot behind the restaurant but I found afternoon street parking

Easy Takeout & Ordering I've visited My Thai several times…read morenow--both for takeout and dining in. Ordering online is super easy and smooth, which makes grabbing food on the go really convenient. Ambiance & Interior Design What really stood out to me is how thoughtfully the space is designed. The lighting creates a warm, romantic vibe without feeling overdone. It's not a huge place, but that actually works in its favor--it feels cozy and comfortable. There are two distinct dining areas: one with standard tables and chairs, and another with built-in benches and tables that adds an extra layer of intimacy. Food Quality The food is incredible. The yellow curry with chicken was rich and flavorful, and the pad see ew was just as satisfying--perfectly cooked with great balance. Service The service is very attentive, and everyone there is genuinely kind and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Overall Whether you're dining in or ordering takeout, My Thai delivers on both atmosphere and quality. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst food experiences I've had, and I could not safely eat the meal. The order included two Fresh Young Thai Coconuts, both of which appeared spoiled. They were not fresh and had signs consistent with improper storage, including an off taste. The two Coconut Ice Creams were also spoiled. Both had a light pink discoloration on top and tasted noticeably sour. I ordered two Pad See Ew dishes, and the beef in both had a rotten, musty odor and were pink which did nit seem fresh.. The most concerning issue was with the proteins. My Shrimp Pad Thai contained a small piece of completely raw chicken, which was unexpected and raised serious food safety concerns. The Chicken Satay appeared cooked on the outside, but the inside was still raw and undercooked. The Green Curry was also disappointing. The vegetables were excessively wilted and appeared to be past their freshness. The curry itself had an unusual greasy layer on top and a thick, goopy consistency that was unlike any green curry I've had before. Because of the number and severity of the food quality and food safety issues, I did not feel comfortable consuming any of the meal and had to discard the entire order. This experience was extremely disappointing. I hope the restaurant reviews its food handling, storage, and quality control procedures to help prevent similar issues for other customers.

I was served quite an amazing bowl of pho today…read more I wanted to try the pho at Golden Era for a while now, but never made it there until today due to various reasons. Since I had to get my watch fixed across the street from the restaurant at Gold Rush Jewelry today, I had decided to do my foodie thing and see if I have been missing out. My review here is strictly related to the pho that I had today. As long as the restaurant location was clean (and it certainly was), the food makes no difference to me whether I was served at the restaurant or the WH with the whole place painted in gold. Also I do make my own pho broth (aka liquid gold) at home, so I am all about searching for a different impressive interpretation. Back to the food, I took a picture of my bowl of pho as soon as it was served at my table, and I immediately tasted the soup before anything else was added to it. The soup was perfectly balanced both spices and seasoning wise and the temperature was just right. Then I added basil, bean sprouts, and a squeeze of lemon juice to my pho, as nothing else was needed to alter or masking the original taste of the slowly simmered broth. There was no need to insult the broth (or the broth chef) by adding hoisin sauce and fake stuff to it. I truly enjoy the style of the beef served. The beef pieces are very tender, not like the rare beef slices that most Vietnamese restaurants offer. Also I cannot say enough good things about the ribs that came with my pho order. Overall it was a very satisfying bowl of pho to me. There are many Vietnamese restaurants out there with their own interpretations of pho broth in terms if the use if spices, seasonings, and bone to water ratios in make the all day all night long slow simmering broth. Also, northern style and southern style pho are quite different from each other by taste and composition. There is nothing wrong with most of these other Vietnamese restaurants and their own interpretations , however I found the pho that I had today at Golden Era very agreeable with what I am looking for in terms of "balance". Some spices might smell great if a lot of it is used, but could create a noticeable unpleasant taste and even an irritation reaction to the throat. This is why I believe Golden Era is a winner with the pho game. I have a photo of a fully finished bowl to proof it. I will definitely return to Golden Era again. Will see if their quality control is consistent enough to build a regular customer base. Other factors to consider: they do have a clean and tidy looking kitchen, but from the front end of the restaurant to the kitchen is about 30 plus steps; the restaurant was operated by a grandma and grandpa only when I was there at 11:30 am, they were very nice and doing the best that they could... please be kind to these folks.

We had shrimp fried rice, beef rib pho and short ribs. Favor was great! Their sauce was amazing.read more

They have the typical lunch specials that you would see at a Thai restaurant with salad and choice of two items. When we came back for dinner, we had pad see ew and spring rolls and Tom yum soup. I'd get mild next time instead of medium spicy. I had to order a Sing Ha to help cut the spice intensity. I had ordered a ginger tea earlier--it was delicious but also the spice a bit intense for me. My companion ordered the yellow curry with chicken. This sauce was absolutely delicious, although a bit thin. He ordered a Pinot Grigio wine. Very personable service and attention--he's been working with this restaurant for 25 years. From across the room, he noticed as soon as we were ready to order, another time when I needed a beverage refill, and when we were ready for the check. Plenty of seating, as there's an active ordered business for pick-up vs. dine-in when we were there for dinner. The pretty color scheme is burgundy red, gold, and black. Their spirit house is the largest I've ever seen; the tall ceiling and open architecture of the restaurant easily accommodate it. The menu is extensive and I'm looking forward to visiting again.
