Mixed feelings on this place, so I will err on the side of caution... This is one of those satellite breweries that is more restaurant and in the case of this place, more hip, than anything else. Though the beers we had were good, it was a bit of a let down when it came to a brewery. The kitchen part of this place is worth a visit. The food we had - my son a burger and the bowl I had was delicious. But the beer menu was short and sweet, the bar was exceptionally small - and the restaurant is what this place is all about. If you're looking for a place to eat that serves good food and has some good beer - this is your place to go. If you're looking to see what Sailfish Brewery is all about - head a bit farther south and go to their main location in Fort Pierce. read more

This Sailfish location is fairly close to the beach, and the walkable area of Ocean Drive. Very nice on the inside, welcoming, and very clean. I ordered the smash burger w/fries and had a Tag & Release Amber ale. I've had the beer before, it's very good for that style of beer. It's a local brew and available almost anywhere you can get beer (in the area). The burger was ok. Supremely overcooked unfortunately (dry and dark). I visited once before and attempted to order the burger, but they said they were out of burgers, so I didn't eat. Based on my experience, this is a place that you would go out for beers and if you were hungry, grabbing a bite while you were there. But not necessarily a place that you would seek out to have dinner let's say. read more

Wow just wow! I am super glad that I found out that one of my favorite breweries has a micro brewery in town. The ambiance was great and the place was well kept. I had the Tag and Release and the Gravedigger. The Tag and Release is one of favorite red ales and the Gravedigger was a new release. It wasn't the greatest but it was doable. I was able to finish it. I was amazed by the fact the the brewery had hand scrub which is very uncommon in an establishment like this, but I definitely talked about it with my group. They were all impressed by the hand scrub. I definitely will recommend this place to anyone that enjoys a good craft beer. read more

This place has gone downhill. Customer service and quality is no longer important to them. My friend ordered a dish that she has ordered at least 5 times before. It was completely dry and non-edible. She asked to have it sauced (like it was before ) and they changed her extra for it. Come on, do better. When she complained they offered to take the extra charge (75 cents) off her bill. The "manager " said the menu changed and they no longer have any of the extras they did before. Not Good, IMO. read more

Food was fine, no real complaints there. We tried two of the signature beers. They were both warm. Server just shrugged and said she would try to make the next ones colder. We sat with empty glasses, empty water and empty plates for some time while the server chatted with the only other table. We decided not to order anything else and went waste our time going back. Good prices on beer; we split a flight for $12, and a 16-oz draft is only $6. I liked the kettle sour but the other beers had a little too bitter of a finish. nice place, came in to try the beers, but they do have a small menu & the food people ordered around us smelled good. beers were average at best, they don't have a lot of handles, so choices can be limited. ordered the sour on tap & a couple of ipas. seems that most of the breweries in the vero beach area are just NOT GOOD at making a good sour. the one i had was just bland & watery tasting. the ipas were good. think i'd come back to try the food. outside patio is nice.... read more

Don't expect an on-site microbrewery. Don't expect messy bar grub. The main Sailfish Brewing in Ft. Pierce got Vero-Beached. Not a bad thing; this place is clean, neat and nicely 'appointed'. Subdued and not noisy. We started with a Mediterranean flatbread ($12). Starter-sized flatbread with oil, garlic, red onions, dried tomatoes, artichoke, feta, chicken and a balsamic glaze. It was good but not over the top. Not a lot of flavor; could've had more herb appeal. Something to make you say WOW. My wife ordered the Buddha Bowl ($12 + $4 for chicken), rice, roasted chickpeas, sweet potatoes, kale, red onion and avocado served with garlic tahini and topped with her choice of blackened chicken. It was good, said she, and I confirmed it to be tasty and unique to a taproom. My poke bowl ($16) was a mistake to order from a brewery. The tuna was grill grade, not sushi grade. It was plated alongside jasmine rice, pickled jalapeños, diced red onions, thinly sliced cucumbers and drizzled with a mild wasabi aioli and sweet ponzu sauce. Not impressed by presentation or contents. We enjoyed a sour IPA and a Belgian Tripel, from cans. Draft choices are also available. Our waitress was friendly, attentive but not hovering. In fact, her service is what kept this review rated at four stars. Come for the expectations of Sailfish beers. And remember this is a taproom more than it is a restaurant. read more

The staff and food were outstanding for a brewery. It's a brewery not a restaurant so the atmosphere is just that. Beers were hit or miss but may lend to individual tastes. I'm a hop head and I thought the hazy IPA was great. The stouts were a bit bland. read more

Everything great about their Ft Pierce location is missing in this place and it pains me to type that. The food is way overpriced and the beer selection is fairly limited. The food quality from what we ordered was great but the price doesn't equate. The beer selection only gives you one beer per style they offer. Wish they offered more. I would rather make the trip to their Ft Pierce location then travel here and this location is much closer. I did purchase a shirt because the logo is amazing!! read more

You can eat outside under cover but can't bring the pooch unless it's a service dog.. sad you have to lie and make a dog a service dog but they turn peeps away cuz they don't have the designation for animals. A super rainy Sunday and decided to stop by for a beer. I was super excited to find an open seat at the bar. I've always been a fan of their Hazy IPA, but was excited to see some of their other offerings. I opted for the Pineapple Man (not to be confused with Florida Man) double IPA brewed with locally sourced pineapple! It was super smooth and the pineapple was fruit forward but not too sweet/over the top. They have a great food selection to include hot fresh pizza and pretzel bites with wonderful Sailfish Lager beer cheese sauce. The team was friendly and helpful and look forward to hanging out a bit longer next time! read more

I'll be the first to admit it: I am a Sailfish fanboy. The Fort Pierce Sailfish location is exactly what I look for in a brewery. The Vero location is also a lovely place but a very different vibe than the Fort Pierce location. Honestly, the best way to describe the Vero location is a that it is a Vero-ized Sailfish. There's about 2/3 of the drink menu available but they are basically a restaurant with a wonderful outside seating area. I had the Blackened Chicken Sandwich with a side of the beer cheese dip for the fries (4/5 stars) and a Sun Sour (4/5). If I find myself by the beach in Vero, I will definitely be visiting here again! read more

Not impressed. Great location but horrible vibes. The few beer selections were decent. Food has small portions for the price. Not sure what cuisine they are going for.. I guess strictly "brewery" food . Seems overpriced for what was served. Friends had recommended this place awhile ago so we decided to finally try it out- they said it was dog friendly (which its not) Not sure if new management or new kitchen but looking at the reviews (which I should of done prior) it seems like this is an on going issue that won't be fixed anytime soon. read more

Staff is the worst. TWICE we were here, ordered burgers and watched them for TEN minutes sit in the window while wait staff walked by them. The second time I had my entire family. The food came out 30 minutes after we ordered cold, not warm but cold. They did not apologize and said that they had brought it when it was done and but they would give us some free fries. I went to the bathroom ten minutes later and saw two bowls of fries sitting on the counter for another ten minutes waiting to be picked up. There were only three tables with folks and six staff. How hard is this? They must hate the owners to intentionally sabotage them like this. They didn't even bother giving us the second set of fries. Service sucks. read more

This was my first time here. I've been to the one in Fort Pierce, but never to the one in Vero. The atmosphere was nice - it's on Ocean drive in Vero, so how could it not be? The service was decent, with the waitress checking in on our table frequently to make sure everything was as it should be. I didn't look at the menu to closely and assumed that what I was getting was Buffalo cauliflower bites, where they have Buffalo sauce on them. I was mistaken: instead, they had Buffalo sauce on the side, and the cauliflower were heavily deep fried. If you like fried food, I think you'll like the cauliflower bites, but the fried-ness was overly done, in my opinion. To the point where, it took away from the flavor of the cauliflower. I don't drink beer, but the beer my table ordered looked appealing, and they said it was very good. I did not see a ramp to the seating area, and had to walk up stairs. In that regard, the facility was not handicapped friendly - I walk with canes and stairs are difficult for me to navigate. read more

Update: while the servers are still very nice here, it seems they got rid of several tables and changed the menu. They got rid of a lot of dishes we liked (the farro bowl, truffle fries, fried pb&j) and replaced them with things that sound good but they do not actually have them. They were out of tuna, mahi, and FRIES, and weirdly enough, soda. I think a few other things as well but I can't remember which, the list was so long. The food we ended up getting was a bit blah. We have also wanted to bring our well behaved, 7 lb dog here to eat outdoors, as we have been able to do at several other Vero hot spots, and have been told they do not accept dogs. We have even seen people with dogs be turned away. However, today we see someone with a large dog there and ask if they now allow dogs and they say it is "selective". Well what does that mean?! If I show up with my fur child will I be turned away or not? Definitely giving Sailfish a break for awhile read more

Tremendous addition to Vero Beach. Inside is modern and not what you'd expect from a Brewery. Food was very good. Truffle Fries and chicken sandwich were on point. Always been a fan of Sailfish Beer. The portion of the food in compare to price was so tiny. I don't have a big appetite and mostly I don't finish my food at restaurants but I was hungry after that. My partner was so disappointed at his food too, small portion of shrimp and grit for almost $20!! The quality of the food was ok though. They are also use biodegradable plates made of bamboo which I was not interested in since it does not honor the food and it is not helping the environment. read more
