Okay I tried again hoping to have a smash urger like they use to make. I even asked the server to tell the cook to smash it as that is what a smash burger is. You smash it thin to get the caramelization. What do I get Two patties like a plain double cheeseburger. Thats it I wont be going back. They advertise smash burger and dont give it to you even after a request to do it . Get a cook that knows what a smash burger is. It is a 2 second process . Have been here a few times. The food is good. I go for their Cobb salad. If you are there for a serious conversation, it can be pretty loud in there, so keep that in mind. But if the weather is nice, the patio is a great option. Service there is usually friendly and knowledgeable. read more

This was my first time at this location. I came with a group of 5 and we were quickly seated. Service was great. Our server checked on us throughout our lunch. I had the honey chicken with tater tots. The tots were some of the best I have had. They were perfectly crispy and had some seasoning. The honey chicken sandwich was also good. I plan to return and try some of their other items. There are many TVs so I think this would be a great spot to watch games. I would recommend Saints to others! read more

Our group came here for outside drinking and watching football. What a great location! We were excited to sit outside as it was a beautiful day and the outside area has multiple TVs to watch multiple games. We didn't eat lunch or dinner but enjoyed the appetizers of nachos, chips and queso and fried pickles. Our server was super nice and checked on us often. The only downside was the speakers outside were blaring dance club music at what seemed full volume and all of us outside were wanting to listen to games or nothing instead of blasting music. We asked multiple times for them to lower the speakers but they said they could not. It really ruined the time there as we had to scream at each other to talk over the music. We are ordered the Chicken Quesadilla app, the classic burger with green beans on the side, the Loco Wrap (a little spicy, but very good) and the pork tenderloin sandwic (massive!! so much food). we were all pretty happy with what we got. Now, it was very crowded and that meant our server was stretched thin. We were seated right away and waited about 20mins to get to order. I have a friend who owns a (once) little business in the public market. So after a quick visit, I wanted to try out Saints, as it was recommended by a friend. The location had decent amount of parking and while I came during happy hour, but it was near dead empty inside, which was a little disappointing. My favorite pub food is fish and chips and gave it a go around with a beer. I prefer an unseasoned chip, as is the style in English/Irish pubs and they said that the fries were as plain as they came. I paid around $25 with tax and tip, which is a good price for KC. When I got my order, I was a disappointed. The fries weren't plain, they were coated in some type of salty coating that did not sit right with me. The fish they served was a white fish of some sort that was good but the batter was overly thick and burnt and did not suite the fish, which was fragile and flaky. This sort of batter would have worked better with a more sturdy fish like a halibut or salmon and my meal looked like like a mess after a while so I basically ate the fish on it's own, which is not the point of a Fish and Chip meal. On top of it, they mis-charged my drink as a craft beer. I don't think anyone would EVER call a Miller High Life a craft beer. So, overall, I was disappointed. Today I stopped in for lunch with two family members. We all had a different type of chicken sandwich that was on their menu. One person had breaded, and I and the other family member had grilled with various combinations from the menu, unfortunately all of our chicken sandwiches were dry. I had the gluten-free bun which was awful, but I don't really blame the restaurant because gluten-free buns are terrible in general. The toppings on our chicken sandwiches were good but the actual chicken was dry for all three of us. We did all agree that their fries are excellent. I had the waffle fries and they had the regular fries. They have happy hour Monday through Friday from 1 to 6 PM which is a good deal. They have a large space, but the music was a little too loud and hard to have conversations. Our server was friendly and did a good job, but we would've preferred if she stopped by a little bit more. The one thing we all could not stand was that all of our meals were served on a small tin platter and it really made it difficult to prepare your sandwich without getting condiments everywhere. We also had to ask for salt and pepper and that is a big pain in my book to have to ask a restaurant for salt and pepper that should be on the table. I've been to this restaurant in the past and their salmon and shrimp is good so I know they have good food but they need to cook their chicken breasts for less time. Dropped in mid week near the end of Happy Hour (5pm) and quickly placed an appetizer and beer order to get specials. Lots of tv screens everywhere and a big crowd for midweek. It was rather loud but expected for a bar especially during happy hour. I got the blackened lime shrimp taco with boom boom sauce- they were so good and very filling ( took 1/2 home). The lazy and rude hostess did not even offer to check the status of tables or one of their multiple available tables outside. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have experienced rude hostesses at this establishment. I will most likely not be visiting again. I like to consider myself a patient person and I'm always understanding when an establishment is busy since I work in the industry but I have yet to have a decent experience at Saints. Every time I'm there I receive the worst service of any place I frequent in KC. It's not just how long we had to wait for our server to acknowledge us (atleast 10 minutes), I also didn't receive any acknowledgement for long periods of time. I was there for 2 hours but only had two rounds of drinks and the second one was on my way out after having to wait for a long time too. I'm not the kind to complain about service and still tipped decent but tonight was especially egregious. Almost feels like there's not enough discipline from the management staff because this keeps happening. Please do better for your clients. Our food was ok, but nothing special. My potstickers were a bit overcooked, as was his burger. He asked for 'medium' and it was definitely closer to well done. I think we are getting close to some good times at this spot. The staff is always so excellent and kind when. I come in. But again, it comes down to basics. Super loud gangster rap every song; loud will turn away so many demos. And zero drink specials. That one thing blows my mind. BUT Martin City Brewery is coming in soon and in the same parking lot.
