My new favorite go to. Everything's so tasty, good servings and reasonably priced. My family and I love ordering their combination chow mein, the shreadded beef in onions, the wor-wonton soup, the pea leaves. I love that they have Vietnamese food too! One of the most authentic food place in Livermore with lot of love and simplicity . It's a family owned place which not only has a good food but an amazing customer service . The chef takes care of your palette with so much of variation in the flavors . Not all the places can manage the consistency like Sai's T . It my go to place since last 7 yrs , they were able to deliver the same level even during the pandemic . I really wish they can get some more business coz they are in a shy away complex next to the Spring Town Gas Station . I have never tried the Vietnamese Pork Bun but was surprised by the presentation. It was a hot day so I didn't want anything too warm. The noodles were refreshing which I didn't know I needed till I started digging in. The pork was cooked perfectly, being crispy and delicious. I was surprised by the amount given for the cost. The pork was cooked just enough where the ends of the meat were caramelized, just the way I like it. Overall I was surprised with the freshness, quality, and quantity of the food at such an affordable price. Props to the chef who knows what they are doing! I'm updating my last review based on my recent visit . I ordered my favorite lamb curry soup which I've praised in my last review over a year ago. Sadly I have say after my takeout last night that the broth was good but where was the LAMB! I had two tiny pieces of lamb and more tofu than actual LAMB. If I'm paying premium for LAMB than at least give me some . I was really looking forward to this after so long out of the area but I have to report when such blatant misrepresentation is going on. read more

The sign says PHO on the outside, and that's all you should come for. It's really good pho, but a bit expensive. The restaurant is nice but not special. The service is a little slow. You won't get real raw beef, but its good stuff. They also seem to favor large groups of asian customers/family who come in. There is lots of regulars "Sai" knows, feels like a place that could become "your place." I go here with my boyfriend, and he doesn't order pho, he orders one of the other over 80 items on the menu. I feel like most of those are just there so they can say they have them. The Honey walnut chicken is laughable. Its like a bunch of watered down plain honey on fried chicken. The fried rice has good taste but so does Trader Joe's frozen fried rice. If you do not order pho this restaurant feels like an insult, it feels like a scam. We're very happy to revisit this local restaurant again after a few years of absence. Service was always friendly & hospitable. The owner always welcomed us like old friends though we didn't really frequent it a lot. The place was always clean & cozy. We just didn't care for the flavor of the pho', their main dish. A few werks ago, out of necessity & laziness, we walked over to order the pad thai & combination pho. We didn't expect. much. Again, we were hungry, too lazy to cook, & we knew a 5 min walk would yield a hot meal. To our surprise the food was great. The pad thai was bursting with flavor & had the right balance of sweet & spicy that I like. It was very close to the dish I had in Bangkok years ago. My hubby enjoyed his pho. The broth was flavorful, and the meat cooked just right. We've gone back at least 3x over the last month to re-try the chow main, fresh Spring rolls, their combination rice plates and haven't been disappointed again. I think this is actually one of the better Vietnamese/Chinese restaurants in Livermore. No, I wouldn't recommend coming here for Pho, BUT I would recommend coming here for the other things such as fried rice, basil shrimp, Singapore noodles, and the other Chinese/Vietnamese dishes they offer. My coworkers been here a dozen times likes pretty much everything (except the pho). They are pretty generous with the serving sizes so if you don't want to overeat, take the rest to go. I had the Singapore noodles, and thought they were decent. Never having tried it before, I would compare it to chow mien but with smaller noodles. They also have some (I believe) vegetarian ok food such as stir fried vegetables and others. Overall, the place is decent in a somewhat hard to see plaza, but I would recommend this to others. read more

The prices are reasonable but in my personal opinion the food is mediocre at best. What we ordered: - Combo Meals with chicken and beef. This dish was okay and felt like there wasn't enough seasoning. Spring rolls were pretty good and was the best thing on that dish. That should tell you something. - I got a Pho order because I was craving some soup that night. Do Not Bother.... Pho is bland and meat was incredibly tough. Adding oyster sauce and sriracha sadly did not help. - The best dish of the night though happened to be the beef curry. That was pretty decent. It was my mom's order and I kept eating off her plate rather than mine that she let me take the left overs home! LOL The waitress was nice enough. I have no complaints about the service. Location is convenient being close to residential areas and right off the First St Exit in Livermore. However, I just sadly don't see myself swinging by this place in the future. read more

Running late and wanting Vietnamese, I asked Google who was still open and I was told that Sai T's might be open, but would be closing soon. I called at 9:06, (they closed at 9p) and someone answered! I asked if I could still place an order and to my delight, she said Yes! I ordered Fresh Spring Rolls and an order of Bun. When asked what kind, I asked if they made the one with Beef wrapped around onions and she said Yes. I asked again, just to double check and she said Yes. I got there around 9:10 and my food was ready in another 2 minutes. Quick, polite Take-Out service. Well, when I got home, I opened up the Spring Rolls and they were huge. They were so fresh and the Peanut Sauce was delicious! The Bun was just regular Sliced Beef; not what I ordered and not what I was assured they made. This is the only reason that I am giving them 4 stars, instead of 5. The Bun was still really good, although the fish sauce was really bland. The order was big, fresh veggies and perfectly cooked noodles. Both cost me $19.96. A little high comparatively, but not outrageous. I will definitely go back. read more

Co-workers love this place. Me, not so much. Yes, you get a heaping boatload of food for $8. But when you get right down to the nitty gritty of standard pho, this place ain't cuttin' it. The broth just plain isn't enticing, and the meat tends to be tendon-y and fatty. If you're going for one of those combo plates, I can't honestly tell you everything that's on it, but it's not bad. The chicken also can be fatty. Stay away from the curry chicken, as you can find much better at Me & Cha's off Vasco. Lunch is pretty crowded here, while dinner can be iffy. It's never completely empty though. Obviously, these people have not discovered Saigon Cafe or Me & Cha's! I've tried this place 4 times now, for both lunch and dinner, and I have to say that I'm alright if this place closed. Just not the spot for a Vietnamese food fix. read more

Can't understand the so-so reviews for this place. Sai's is in Livermore but their tasty dishes will compete with the best Vietnamese restaurants in the heart of LA or SJ. Their Pho broth is out of this world, excellent beef flavor without the MSG or overpowering ginger to mask lack of taste. Their #2 rice dish is an awesome combo with a light peanut cabbage slaw/salad, 5 spice chicken that taste like succulent roast duck without the game duck taste, tender lemongrass beef slices and 4 crispy appetizer 2 egg rolls + 2 fried shrimps, I always ask for all eggrolls. Other excellent dishes include the bird's nest crispy chowmein, basically their version of the Hong Kong style chowmein and the 3 color vegetable (egg plant, green beans and tofu). Ask them to fry the tofu for better texture and flavor. Service is very good, there's no free refills so don't expect them to ask you if you want more. If you know Vietnamese flavors, you'll LOVE this place. And if you like Chinese, they have Chow Fun, sweet and sour pork, Fried rice. Their menu consists of what I would describe as a fusion of different Asian foods, and it is all delicious. My favorite dish is the salt and pepper fish, which I would describe as fancy twist on fish sticks; its super good and I order this every time. Ordered the spring rolls and 2 rice plates. The grilled chicken was just OK (edible) but the grilled pork was NOT good, not good at all.... Even after dipping large amounts of sauce on it, there was still a funky taste, I don't know if it was the seasoning or because it was old??? Can't put my finger on it. The coworkers and I come here once a week, sometimes three. It's ran by a husband and wife. Depending on the time of the day it could be really packed ( mostly 12 to 1 pm) I'm always amazed by how many tables ( we just call her YieYie) serves. She is by herself taking orders, serving and being the cashier. She is always so attentive, I've loved every single one of her recommendations this far. The pho and bun are both excellent. Their shrimp spring rolls are worth it, although I've had better. Service is great if you don't come when they are super busy; the place can get crowded at lunch hour. Don't be afraid to order take-out. I ordered the beef chow fun and a Vietnamese coffee over the phone for pick up around 1pm. The place was fairly clean but not memorable by any stretch. The beef chow fun portion was big enough but the taste was just average and did not really capture my attention. The coffee however was 80% ice, 10% coffee, 5% sugar and 5% condense milk. The taste of the coffee was covered by the sugar and milk. I took a few sips and it was gone! I will not be going back to this restaurant. read more
