I've been going here for years when I crave for Chinese food and they've always been consistent. Food is authentic and delish! Fast service, friendly and clean environment.

Garlic chicken. Ehhh. Half fried rice half chow mein...$2 dollars more. Over priced. Left me feeling gross and wish I hadn't eaten here

Wow. My last review 9 years ago and exact same experience. The garlic chicken was insanely SALTY. I didn't even remember my last experience or even had been here until I went to yelp. Came in for lunch solo. Ordered garlic chicken. Nice at first. Came out fast. Soup was delicious. Egg roll and rice delicious! The garlic chicken was so dang salty. I still can't get the salt off my lips. Rich in oyster sauce or hoisin. Just dumped all over. Long story short, ready to check out and she says how was everything and I said ehhh all was excellent but the chicken. Instantly became argumentative and rude! I kept my cool and explained to her the issue and she escalated. The woman across from me looked at me after the encounter and said I did great and don't worry about it! I will for sure never forget this and not come back. Wish I had a better experience.

These were the dishes we tried: - Firecracker Chicken: it was deep fried chicken breast chunks tossed with spicy Sichuan peppercorns and dried chilies. Despite using chicken breast, the chunks were surprisingly tender and didn't feel dry at all. The spicy, numbing flavor really came through, but I felt like the dish was severely under salted. I think just a little more salt would've elevated the flavor completely. Also this dish wasn't spicy at all to us even though we were forewarned that it was gonna be spicy. - Spicy Basil Chicken: this dish had a flavor profile that reminded me of Thai style Basil Chicken Stir Fry, but I thought the Thai stir fry version was far superior. The flavor wasn't bad though, and what really impressed me was the chicken. The slices were so soft and tender that I couldn't believe I was eating chicken. The texture almost reminded me of fish cake, it was that tender. However, I did think the dish was a little unbalanced, with the vegetables taking up a much larger portion of the dish than the chicken. And I did think that the bell peppers were undercooked. - The House Special Chow Mein was fantastic. The flavor was smoky, savory, and slightly sweet, creating a really nice combo of flavors. The noodles were also nice and chewy and had a great bounce to them. I loved all the different toppings that came with it too, and there was also Bok Choy mixed in for some vegetables. The portion was pretty generous as well. Overall, the service was amazing. The older couple, who I assume were the owners, seemed to do pretty much everything themselves. They took our order, brought out the food, and checked on us throughout the meal. They were very hospitable and nice. The ambience was just okay... The restaurant felt a little cramped and was somewhat dark. One thing I really didn't like, though, was that the kitchen was open and right next to the dining area. I felt like all the cooking smoke and smells were drifting directly into the dining area, which wasn't particularly pleasant while we were eating.

So, since I wasn't able to find a check in for that market, I had to come here to sing their praises. 6 Vegan Potstickers at the market are $13. I recommend spending the $1 for chili oil. Not sure what they charge at the restaurant for these fried pockets of deliciousness, but I tell you if these taste this good at a farmers market, packaged in a box, and I wait 10 minutes before I find a seat in the hospital cafeteria, and it still tastes this good, the restaurant must be out of this world. The wrapper has a great thickness and offers a sticky and chewy bite. Pan fried still comes out after having these steam in a to go box, so the restaurant would probably make these pan fried babies have even more texture. Comes with a dipping sauce, but combine it with the chili oil if you can handle a little heat and Yes Chef!! For anyone coming, the parking can be really bad as it shares probably 20 or so spots with several other restaurants. It's near impossible to park nearby with the alternative of parking near the Panera's or even the target. There's plenty of tables and seats inside, and it was pretty slow when we dined in. Convenient televisions on two different sides where all the workers were casually watching, and quite the chatter in the kitchen where they're all watching the World Cup. That doesn't really affect service however as they're quite attentive when called for. We ordered the salted fish and chicken fried rice, and the medium bbq platter with char sound soy sauce chicken. All very delicious! The only thing is that they can bit on the pricier side with $20 for the fried rice and $30 for the bbq plate. Overall, I thought grand cafe definitely scratched our itch for Cantonese style dining experience. HK Cafe in Dublin is a cute corner cafe in a little strip mall in Dublin. Plenty of parking and they offer most of what a cha chaan teng would serve in HK. 1) The service is phenomenal, which is strange because in HK the best restaurants usually have the worst service lol. They are super attentive and the servers will give recommendations especially when they feel you've ordered too much of one type of item. 2) We ordered in the photos the beef chow fun, pork chop rice, green beans, and the salted fish chicken clay pot. One thing my wife and I noticed is they do stir fried dishes really well. You really taste the wok hei. 3) My wife did comment the prices are kinda high which is understandable considering the area, but at least the portion size is decent. 4) This place does get decent lines at peak dining hours as it's pretty popular now. Sometimes you may need to wait 15-20 min but the restaurant does seat ~50-60 people at a time so it's decently big. 5) My HK born wife loved the decor with the HK train stations and HK double decker buses. 6) it also has wifi!!!!
