The twisted roll was like heaven on a platter. I also had the truffle shuffle roll and that was great 2. For an appetizer I had the seaweed salad and it was also good. We will be back and look forward to it. If you're in the mood for sushi Sajja sushi bar is worth the visit. read more

The sushi was fantastic! We got the chef's choice platter, perfect amount for sharing and a great variety of fish. Our server was was attentive without being annoying, the SA was a little too obsessed with keeping our water glasses full but he was fairly unobtrusive about it. Word to the wise, if you're wearing a skirt and heels you may want to avoid the sunken booths. They look amazing and I love the idea, but practically not so great. It was almost impossible to enter gracefully (to be fair, being graceful in heels is frequently difficult for me) and stepping out without giving the sushi chefs at the bar a show was a bit of a challenge as well. read more

My friends and I had such a great time here. The experience was amazing, great atmosphere as well, it wasn't too dark or too light. Our waitress was such a great person and she was pregnant too. Went here for the second time for their happy hour which was pretty weak in the sushi department.. Only a $1 off a few of their least expensive rolls. Was very surprised at what we walked into. Wanted to try something that we haven't tried before and found this place. Had the Bento box with steak one time. The second time had it with chicken. The steak was a bit fatty but well cooked. The chicken was good and the additional broccoli and rice was cooked perfectly. My lunch was not good. The sake was cold. The lettuce in my salad was wilted. I ordered Katsu Don (probably the wrong thing). The pork was barely cut which I thought was strange since the meal was served with chopsticks. It was also breaded and fried and had a thick piece of gristle running though part of it. In for a quick eat n drink during Happy Hour on Saturday. I had the Spicy Scallops and a few Sapporo's out on the patio. The Scallops were delicious and the beers ice cold and tall. This is a sushi only review. Rolls themselves were fine. But the prices was steep for the quantity and the selection of maki rolls wasn't all that expansive or diverse. Who knows, maybe I would have had better luck choosing other sushi preparations. Service on our lone visit was amusingly awful. Friendly enough, but painfully slow given the place was dead, with several botches. Not awful. Total meh place for me. I've had better experiences at Wakame and Bagu. read more

I do keep coming here for very specific sushi rolls and the calamari appetizer but nothing else really. If their other food was as great, I would give 4 stars. Personal favorites: -Calamari appetizer: "meaty and good quality. Always crispy and the accompany sauces are great. Spritz a bit of lemon on top and it's DELICIOUS! -Spicy tuna: fish and sauce ratio is nice and tastes very fresh. -Dynamite-the sauce is the winner here and I always order extra sauce on the side. Be warned, it's spicy. -Crunchy-It is good as well but I prefer my raw sushi. ***Overall, all their maki rolls are good with the great ones specifically mentioned above. Nigiri sushi: I've tried several and the reason I'm not saying much is that although the fish is great quality, the rice to fish ratio is not the best. There's too much rice to fish so that ruins the whole appeal of nigiri sushi. You should be able to taste the fish more then the rice. Skip: -Bento boxes: I've tried all the Classic bentos and the only decent one was the salmon bento. The others were bland and the protein was dry. Overall, not worth the price. -Shrimp tempura: Although served piping hot and crispy, for $20, order two of the calamari appetizers for your money. Drinks: Beer-Can't really go wrong with it if you buy can or bottle. Tap is always "watery" no matter where you go. Specialty drinks-Hit or miss. Sometimes it's made wayyyyyyyyyy too strong, other times you wonder where's the alcohol. Service-I've been here 20+times and each time service is a hit or miss (more hit but still...). A lot of the misses comes from the wait staff and not necessarily the speed in which I get my sushi because sushi I know is NOT fast food. But I've had waitstaff forget to bring water or even our drinks and the appetizers has already arrived. Or several times we ask for extras like ginger or sauce, it never comes until we've asked at least 2x. This place use to get busy, but with so many other sushi places popping up, you can bet any day/night/time you go you will get seated immediately. When I was up in Minnesota over the summer to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousin, they took me here, knowing that my cousin and I love Japanese food. To begin with, the server I had was excellent. (Don't know her name, but all I remember is that she had a tattoo of some song lyric/poem on her arm.) She would always check in on us, and was always ready to get us refills. She also knew the menu very well. The wait time for the food was about 20-30 minutes, but when I went there, it was very crowded, so that's probably why. All of our meals were excellent--my eel, shrimp tempura, and avocado maki sushi (called the Dragon, under the maki sushi section) was absolutely excellent and fresh, my aunt's chicken teriyaki and my cousin's tempura were pretty good. The soy and ginger sauces and wasabi were also very good. And, according to my uncle, so was the sake. It was a little bit pricey, but was worth it. An excellent place that I cannot wait to come back to when I visit Minnesota again. read more

We're always in search of awesome happy hour specials and great patios. This place has both along with a peaceful atmosphere. We also had great service. We ended up having to move inside from the patio a couple times because of the persistent fall time bees, but our server (Matthew) was very accommodating. The food was pretty great as well. Service is good, but the food not so good, the chilean sea bass was a few pieces of cube of white fish steamed with 2 pea pods and a couple enoki mushrooms and onions. Fish did not taste seasoned at all. Dont remember what this roll was called but it had flakes on the outside with "cooked" salmon and avocado inside. Thought it came as a 8 piece roll but came out as a 6 piece roll. It wasnt as good. read more
