I ordered an iced blended coffee here and it literally tasted like an Atkins shake and looked like it too you could tell there was protein or something in the drink. I have always driven by this donut shop, but finally went inside one morning since I was planning on getting breakfast sandwiches for my friends who live nearby. The donut shop appears nostalgic, like all the older donut shops in the area. The women I saw working here seem really nice and talkative to their customers; I really liked this aspect of them as they were very welcoming and assisted you right away when you entered the shop. I ordered three croissant breakfast sandwiches, which came out to about $21 or ~$7/croissant. While waiting for them, which didn't take long at all, I noticed they had seasonal donuts. It's around Easter time as I write this, so I saw the cutest bunny donuts. They were so festive and colorful. I also saw character donuts like pigs, Elmo, Cookie Monster. If I had a special occasion and wanted to treat others to a cute donut, this would be the place to go to... After receiving the croissant sandwiches, I drove about 10 minutes and then spent 5 minutes settling at my friends place - the sandwich was still warm and crispy. It was such a well made sandwich. Ingredients looked simple, but it was seriously amazing. Ate that thing right up. I'm definitely coming back to eat more of their sandwiches, haha. read more

This is the closest donut store near my home and it does not disappoint these donuts are so good I have to buy every other week and eat one for breakfast so I not high blood sugar. Ask Donuts is bomb!!!! I love the classic pink box and their no frills location. The staff is extremely nice too. A man came in and ordered a raised chocolate donut but saw the blueberry one and wanted to change his mind. Instead of swapping it out, the staff member just gave it to him on the house! That's customer service! I love promoting small businesses and this family run business is one of my go to spots for donuts. Their ham and cheese croissant is also delicious! I went there at 11:30 PM and the donuts taste old like its been sitting around. Understandable that its the end of the day but this donuts store open 24/7, which I expected more. I came back from trying it in my car and asked if they can do anything about it but they just blamed on the "white chocolate" and looked at me like im crazy. So I was craving some tamales because in the afternoon before picking up these bad boys from this donut shop that I never knew had tamales, I had my friend bring me a red tamale and a green tamale. I don't know where she got those from but they were good too and they were made out of the corn leaf. These are made out of the banana leaf and honestly it gives them a different taste. It was like 11 pm and the guy told us that the tamales weren't going to be ready till 12:30 am, so I waited... I checked again with him at 11:30 pm because I'm impatient, and he said that by 11:50 pm they'll be ready. I ended up taking a nap in my car and woke up at 12:05 am. This place is hands down going to be my favorite place when it comes to getting donuts! At the ripe hour of 2 in the morning, I had a craving for some donut holes and dragged my boyfriend out in search of a donut shop. I came across this place on Yelp and was surprised to see that it was open 24/7 despite being in a pandemic. The owner is super sweet and even snuck in an extra maple bar for us, which we were so touched by when we got home! There is protective plexiglass between you and the donut makers, to ensure safety between each other and masks are required to enter the store as well! I will definitely be making this my go to spot when I'm in the mood for something sweet. read more

I am not one to leave reviews but this donut shop deserves as much positive recognition as possible...now...I am embarrassed to say but secretly proud to be somewhat of a donut connoisseur guided by my mother at a young age. I moved to Garden Grove over a year ago and as fait would have it, I moved within 0.2 miles of IMO the top 3 donut shop in all of Orange County...if not the best. If you are a serious/regular donut eater you pick up on the the subtleties that make a great donut...the first category and the most important is the quality of the dough...it needs to be fluffy and soft at the same time not to "light" as well as not to "dence" and SAK donuts gets a 10/10 in that category. Secondly, they need to be CONSISTENT every time you go and this seems to be lost on most shops I have visited...and last but not least, the care you can see/taste that they put into each and every donut in which this place feels like each donut was made with care and not just thrown together. There are 2 photocopied signs with the $2/tamale that I noticed on the side wall while I was paying. Damn, I thought it was very In-N-Out of us all to be this sneaky. :) I got the spicy chicken tamales. Absolutely delicious. Moist with tons of chicken, green chile and a slight heat that sings on the tongue. For those who keep dissing the texture, hellllo?! These aren't Mexican style tamales, they're more Guatemalan style! My new go to donut shop. I went to another donut shop but was shocked to see that business note implementing mask usage. Came here and was very happy to see everyone wearing masks, the shop had tall glass dividers to separate employees from the customers, and overall the shop felt clean. Their donuts are delicious but make sure you count them before you leave, today I received one short of a dozen in my box. Woke up really early the other morning and couldn't fall back asleep so I went on a mission to get us some ham and cheese croissants. Found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try since it was pretty close. Based on yelp reviews I also got a green chicken tamale and a cheese & jalapeño tamale. The tamales were not good at all. Too much masa and definitely under cooked. The chicken one had a good amount of chicken but it wasn't enough to save them. The croissant were okay but there wasn't very much ham or cheese. It did have jalapeños that were actually spicy so that was the saving grace of the entire meal.
