This is an Irvine Icon and legendary among foodies everywhere. These guys do such an incredible job and deserve all the praise we give them. If you are new to Irvine, or East Coast Bagels, then heed my advice: get there early. When they close at 2:00 pm, there is nothing left. The good stuff is gone by 12:30 p.m. Enjoy. OBTW: Michele star for their Bagels and Lox, on everything bagels.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I am a baker and I am OBSESSED with this bagel shop. They have the most delicious bagels/ bagel sandwiches I have ever had, plus they are affordable. I've gotten multiple sandwiches in the menu and they all are to die for. They also have such a wide selection of bagels. At times they may have a small line, but the workers provide fast and friendly service! I have never waited a long amount of time for my food. 10/10 recommend.

Still love this bagel shop all these years later! East Coast Bagels makes Bagels as they should be with the soft fluffy inside and good bite to the outside! They have a large variety of flavors and even still carry flavors that other bagel stores 'did away with' during the pandemic like: sourdough, salt, bialy.... They also have tons of delicious sandwiches. You can eat inside but as it's always crowded so not the best ambiance I just get the bagels to go. Be prepared to wait! Since they're so good they are still super popular and there's ALWAYS a line but good things are worth waiting for!

As a transplant from Brooklyn this the only place I go for bagels willingly without taking a plane flight. The core staff has been the same guys for as long as I can remember, and they never disappoint. Even if it's busy the interior is very chill, you can still hear your number being called and finish your meal without any hassle for space. The line is out the door more often than not, but the staff powers through it like a machine. On occasion people with a lack of self preservation take the line straight into the parking lot instead of curving down the sidewalk, but I suppose we're all lacking varying amounts of common sense before breakfast.

Last visit ended up getting the wrong bagel type for my sandwich. Easy to let it slide since the employees are usually always so great. Came back today and ordered our usual, they were made correctly. My only advice is try to best the line or come after the rush. But if you have to wait during the rush I think it is well worth it.

Hands down the best bagel shop in Irvine! Any bagel sandwich, any bagel type, just amazing!!! Sometimes the line gets long but it goes by fast. This is one of those places that I want to gate keep because I don't want long lines. My go to is their spicy deluxe and the lox. Yum!!!

Wow.. this place is not only affordable but also has amazing bagels! I came here around 11 am, and there was a line but it moved fast. I decided to get a Lox Bagel for less than $10. For the bagel, I chose to get the jalapeño cheddar bagel. Usually when I get jalapeño cheddar at other places, the bagels are usually bland or lacking that spice. However, this one was cheesy and it had the spice you want from a jalapeño. The sandwich was nicely toasted and warm, with the bagel still chewy and the spread and lox filling at the right temperature. They have a wide selection of bagels (both savory and sweet) and spreads that you can purchase to go. I'll definitely be back!

I ordered one of the lox bagels (everything bagel) and the west coast bagel (cheesy jalapeño). I really enjoyed the bagels! They were made quick and really delicious. I hate when bagels are too hard and these were made perfectly fresh. The outside was hard but not hard that you can't bite in with ease and the bagel itself is really soft on the inside! The filling for the bagels is also really good. I would recommend!! Even my cat is smelling the bagels hahaha. I also ordered a strawberry banana smoothie. The flavor was good but it was just a bit too watery for my liking. Definitely a great bagel place you should try out that is better than a lot of internet popular/tik tok popular places.

Honestly theres a few places i make a drive for and this is one of them. I HATE the parking there especially on a Sunday but let me tell you these BAGELS ARE THAT GOOD!! Service id quick and still great quality. It's a small area but you get helped quickly. They're friendly and efficient! You can eat it inside but i prefer the outside seating since its can get packed.

We have been coming to East Coast Bagel for many years now - consistently delicious and fresh. Unmatched compared to others. I suggest coming early in the morning shortly after they open, as the line goes out the door at times, but it is also worth staying in line if you have time. Favorites bagels are the scored garlic bagel and the pizza bagel. Favorite sandwiches are the East Coast (eggs and cheese + bagel of your choice) and pizza bagel (cheese and pepperoni + bagel of your choice). The shop has a lot of seating and there are also seats outside. Service is always excellent and I've never had problems with my orders all these years. Definitely recommend coming here and taking many home. Their coffee and espressos are great as well.

One of my favorite bagel spots! The bagels are always perfectly chewy and soft. Satisfying bites till the end. There's a line around opening time at 6am so you know it's good. Some seating indoors which is nice for eating the bagels fresh. Highly recommend the east coast bagel sandwich for under $6. Reuben also super solid! Personally not a fan of the spicy deluxe bc of the bell peppers and pizza hot bagel but that is a personal opinion!

East Coast bagel is popular spot and there is usually a line if you go in the mornings. Giving them a three star because although their bagels are tasty, sometimes they look like the first photo and sometimes they look like the second photo. The second time I got the bagel I barely was full because there was such little filling inside the bagel . Both of these bagels I ordered are a spicy deluxe bagel. I'm sure this is not their usual standard but getting the same bagel the second time around, made drastically different was a little sad. Not sure why they are inconsistent with portioning :/ I would like to go again, so hopefully they stay consistent

While in the Irvine area for the weekend had a craving for a bagel and this particular shop seems to be the popular spot! Upon arrival the line was out the door and the smell of fresh bagels filled the air At $9.99 for a half dozen and $15.99 for a baker's dozen, had to go for it! Half a dozen! Got the Everything, Raisin & Cinnamon x 2, JJalapeño Cheese, Whole Wheat, and Spinach & Cheese bagels for takeout Once home had a sample and it was delicious

I would like to say that we both really like this location. The ambiance is nice, there's a lot of seating, indoor and outdoor. Good spot to hang out with friends and family. The food was very delicious, so kudos to the cooks and a big thanks to the guy at the bar, he handled everything very well. That being said, our experience was not the best. Upon entering the establishment, we browsed the menu for a couple minutes and came up to the counter when we were ready to order. We were not greeted or even looked at by the cashier so we weren't sure if she was busy or waiting to take our order. She finally made eye contact so we started ordering. She asked us something but the music was a little loud and there were customers chatting at the bar so it was a hard to hear. We apologized for not hearing and she repeated herself in a very annoyed tone and rolled her eyes. She already seemed annoyed as we entered the establishment so the entire process of ordering was very uncomfortable and her attitude after we missed what said, was very rude. She was giving us dirty looks our entire stay. When we got our food dropped off by the same cashier (I believe her name was Kadence as stated on the receipt) everything looked fine except they forgot to give us our sauce on the side. Not a huge deal, my husband went up to ask for it and the guy at the bar was very nice, even gave us extra sauce. We got to eating and when my husband took a bite of his sandwich, he bit into bacon and we do not eat pork! He was very upset and doesn't like to make a fuss (normally would eat the sandwich even if it was the wrong order) but again, we do not eat pork and not eating pork is a big deal to us so he just wanted the sandwich he ordered. I went to the register to ask if we can have the correct sandwich made and let them know they can take the other sandwich back and once again the guy from the bar came to help, our original cashier did not want to make eye contact, didn't bother coming up to the register or apologized for anything. We felt bad because they threw away the whole sandwich, which I know is the typical process for the food industry but still sad seeing the food go to waste. While we were waiting for the correct sandwich, Kadence was still giving us dirty looks so we decided to go eat outside and from outside we could still see her in the window continuing to give us dirty looks! Laughable at this point. My husband and I are both very friendly and understanding people, we always love to give the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she was having a bad day and it was an honest mistake, but her demeanor just made things very uncomfortable. Overall, we would not come back to this location as there are two other locations closer to where we live and their staff is always very friendly and helpful.

Tough call... This is my favorite Mendocino Farms location…read moreout of at least five I have been to around Orange County. The problem with this sandwich chain is one and only: They have a huge issue with quality consistency. Ask their managers and they will tell you that the portions and sandwiche ingredients are strictly measured, but as a customer you know that's not the case. You go to some places and get these tiny sandwiches with two slices of bread and barely any ingredients in between. The Tustin location, located in Whole Foods has been the worst offender at this by far. Now this Campus Drive location has been creating the best, most generous, consistent sandwiches. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen every time still. It all depends on who you get as you cook on that day, crafting your sandwich. Some day sandwiches that get to the table are juicy and enjoyable, and sometimes, they come out to be disappointedly small, with minimum amount of ingredients. I had to complain to the manager a couple of times, but it doesn't help. Every time I come here, I pray to get the right chef who will make my sandwich well. Absolutely hate being at their mercy.
