I've been eating here for a while now, and I'm still impressed every time I go in. The menu has a solid variety, and from sushi and ramen to curry rice and takoyaki, everything I've had is delicious, consistent, and plated very nicely. Fast friendly service and good sushi. Teka, Saki and Hamachi Maki were tasty. The Chirachi was lacking in variety and volume for the price, also had Escolar in the bowl, don't like it. Will come back to try the ramen. read more

We have had takeout and been there in-house. Both times had excellent food. Dining there the service was excellent. Only gripe was they did not bring my wife her wine until we questioned, but we were apart of a larger party so I think they just did not hear her order. read more

I'm glad Sake Ramen has finally opened their doors. My wife and I were hungry for ramen and have been waiting for a good place since our favorite restaurant Mt. Fuji closed their doors. I like didn't feel it was five star like some do. I ordered tonkatsu ramen and it lacked salt. I had a taste of my wife's Shoyu ramen and hers had the salt that mine was missing, in fact, too much salt. So each ramen was missing something or had too much. Hopefully this is just because they're a new restaurant and working out the bugs. I will try them again but I'll wait a while. read more

Actually a 4.5 star initial experience at this relatively new restaurant in a strip mall in Sandy. The very good: spacious, comfortable interior. Friendly and attentive service. Very good range of menu and beverage options. Small plates (edamame, seaweed salad) were among the best we have had locally. Price points were quite good, and their sourcing appears very solid. Slight disappointments: an otherwise delicious Tonkatsu ramen was undercut by poor quality in the pork slices. Gristle made it difficult to chew. The Spider Roll...while filled with very good soft shell crab and other ingredients...was rolled so poorly that it literally fell apart when we attempted to lift pieces off the serving platter. We were left with a lump that was difficult to manage. Certainly a strong enough showing for a return visit and positive recommendation. This is a very large setting. We arrived early on a Friday evening and immediate seating without a reservation was not a problem. read more

We usually enjoy the quality of the sushi and Raman. it's been our go to for the last few years, but our last two visits were less than impressive. I'm always excited to see new ramen / sushi restaurants opening in Utah! The beef suyaki was delicious and ramen broth tasted flavorful like home made. We also ordered a few rolls, overall the fish was fresh and high quality. I believe they just opened this week and were extremely busy. I spoke to the owner, they were really friendly and grateful for our patience, as there was slight delay in our food coming out but they did their best making sure we were happy, great service. Japanese cuisine is one of my favorites. While I don't know what authentic Japanese cuisine may be, my guess this place is pretty authentic. I'm not a big sushi person, but what I have had is without question different than the Americanized Japanese cuisine. The staff is beyond friendly and good, and their menu offers a lot for everyone that is sure to please. I had the Shoyu Ramen...it was good, except for being a little salty, maybe because, it's shoyu (soy sauce) and pork which both are salty. But, over all the ramen had its boiled egg, soy bean, pork...pretty authentic. They just need to curb the salt. I can't wait to try the Udon, next. read more

Great all around restaurant. Staff is welcoming/friendly and we feel safe - all patrons are distanced and everyone is masked as expected. The atmosphere is relaxing and has a calming, enjoyable vibe. I am a food snob. My wife and LOVED this restaurant! The Curry Ramen is delightful and the Sushi rolls are outta this world. For a spicy treat, try the Mexi and Sake Special rolls. Finally, the Sweet shrimp is fun and the presentation is great. Service is great. Very attentive and quick. Prices are very fair. We will definitely become regular customers. Overall impression... Amazing. Highly recommend. Even though it is in a strip mall, the outside seating, the inside decor, the background music, the layout. All very nice. You would never know you're in a strip mall. The food... Hands down, the best curry ramen I've ever had. Smelled great, awesome balance of veggies and noodles and broth. Perfect amount of spice. My son got the shoyou ramen. Also nice, but for some reason tasted a little freezer burnt compared to mine. Maybe it was the pork? Don't know... I'll have to try it again. (Update. I ate the rest of the shoyou for lunch the next day and it was fine. I guess I just loved the curry ramen so much) My wife got sushi rolls. Hannah and Sunshine. The sunshine was soooo good we had to get another one. My kids got Teriyaki chicken. A bit salty for me, but they loved it. My gut... Another metric I use to judge how good a place is, is how I my gut feels after I eat. I can tell if there are too may empty carbs, or too much salt, or too much sludge (think fast food burgers). My gut feels good after a meal with a balanced level of veggies, protein, and carbs. After eating at Sake, I felt GREAT the rest of the night and slept great as well. Service... Bri was AWESOME. Very attentive, thorough, and professional. Alexa was so kind and polite and Jade, the owner, came to personally check on us. We had such a great experience celebrating my daughter's birthday. Sake is a great new restaurant! We had 6 different rolls and they were fantastic. This place had a lot of people and the service was excellent. They didn't expect to be so busy since they just opened so they were worried about it taking a while but it wasn't too long and they gave us a complimentary appetizer.
