I took my family to eat here last night because we love Thai food and our waitress was amazing. Definitely mom and pop vibes. My husband was holding my 5 yr old son, who fell asleep, and she moved a few of the pads that ppl sit on to allow him to sleep. It gave my sweet grandmother vibes, and I loved it. She was very attentive, and I tell you I would definitely go back. Our food was good, and my daughter, who is picky, said she loved her white rice and fried egg on top. We ordered lunch specials (the steak teriyaki with fried rice and veggie tempura, and the bento box with sushi and chicken teriyaki) For an app, we had kani su. The kani su was good and had a nice presentation, i had to add wasabi on top for more flavor. The bento box only comes with a small piece of teriyaki chicken. I liekd the sashimi (the fish was buttery and good quality) but was not a fan of the sushi roll. The beef teryaki is okay but a little tough. Might have to come back and try their Thai. read more

What I ordered- Kani-su, shrimp tempura, dragon roll, homestead spicy roll, shrimp fried rice and Suvi fried fried. Very welcoming even though we arrived close to closing time. I actually was afraid they were closed because it's Saturday night and there are no cars outside and no wait for a table. The main restaurant serves sushi and Thai food and has a nice ambiance. They have a very large area dedicated to hibachi with 5 tables of 8. All the staff (hostess, waitress, chef) were polite and answered my questions about the menu. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious. They really need to advertise because it's a shame that it's a hidden gem. With so many new houses in Homestead more people need to know about it so they don't have to travel too far for a really nice meal. read more

We came here unexpectedly and so glad we did. We were in the mood for some spicy papaya salada and our other local.spot was closed, but Suvi was open. Super sweet service here with plenty of smiles and good conversation, always a plus for me. Inside is spacious with traditional decor including seating. They even sell some spices, sauces, candies and other goodies. We sat at a booth and just procee6to order 3 appetizers. We had the seaweed salad which is big enough for a max of 3 people to share, the papaya salad, and the shrimp shumai (steamed). These are my top 3 appetizers. They were absolutely delicious and would so order every time. We had some hot green tea to help it all go down and had the homestead roll (minus the cream cheese...I just dont like any rolls with it) and we ordered the shrimp tempura roll. Both rolls were tasty and mouth size. We were happy with our whole meal and have plans to come back. The food, service, and space was a perfect comfort. The architecture outside and inside is beautiful! Everything was hand made by the owner. Service is always 10/10 even on their busiest days. Every menu item is 10/10 especially the Suvi honey chicken, that itself is like a 100/10. I have tried plenty dishes and I do not have a bad review for anything. Immediate favorite from our first time! The food was excellent, very very flavorful. We had soups, sushi and pad Thai, and everything was very good. Children's chicken was exceptional and a very big portion. The prices were unbeatable. We picked Suvi because it was walkable from our Airbnb, and I'm so glad it was. This little hole in the wall was clean, welcoming, and had a great atmosphere. Our server was the sweetest man. He took great care to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was good as well. We had a sashimi appetizer to start and each ordered a Thai entre. We left feeling satisfied but not overstuffed and no food went to waste. It was pretty quiet the evening we went in, which I don't understand. I would give it 3 1/2 stars if I could. The service was amazing. The people that work there were really nice. The idea behind the restaurant is great. They have regular tables, tables you can sit on the floor, and a hibachi area. It's very spacious. Maybe it the location but I went on Friday night and it was empty. We ordered a couple menu items. Everything was ok/good, but nothing really wowed me. Not sure if some of the raw fish served is frozen and then thawed. The presentation for everything was beautiful. Overall Suvi is worth a try. Our server was kind and attentive but we felt a bit rushed at times as she came to us every couple of minutes to ask if we were ready to order after mentioning we needed a moment. The restaurant was pretty quiet as there was no music playing and there weren't a lot of customers for lunch, so the ambiance was very relaxed. I ordered the lunch bento that included sashimi, nigiri, half a california roll, tempura shrimp and veggies, and a side salad. The most peaceful place to eat at. I moved into the area around 10 minutes from here. I always seen it here and there when I'm on that road. Decided to check it out. Everything from the food, service to the architecture of this place is extremely wonderful. Once you enter you're greeted with a warm heart and a genuine smile. Suvi has been my go-to sushi spot in Homestead since it opened. I consistently get fresh, delicious sushi which is super important considering how easily one can get food poisoning from bad sushi. The sushi is always delicious. Especially their specialty rolls. The Four Seasons Roll is to die for. As is the Eel Roll. Their other dishes are also pretty great. Their pad Thai is better than the majority of other restaurants. The katsu dishes are good, too, just not the best. I came by Suvi because I had two different friends/coworkers recommend this place as a great local restaurant near my home where I would have some great food and service. My family and I came by and loved our experience. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by the very friendly staff and our waitress got our drink orders. My brother and I ordered some Sapporo beer....haven't had one of those for a while. I decided to play it safe and ordered the chicken teriyaki, my mother ordered the suvi honey chicken, my brother ordered the volcano chicken. My first taste of the night was the miso soup...as it came with my chicken teriyaki order. Although I am not a big fan of miso soup... I actually enjoyed this one. Soup had a lot of flavor! The chicken teriyaki was delicious... usually when I have had it other places the chicken is actually bland but suvi was very flavorful. I also ate from My families played and vice versa to try them out... the volcano chicken was spicy and delicious but not overwhelmingly so...actually I may go for a spiced dish the next time around because the food was so good. The honey chicken is probably the best honey chicken I have ever had anywhere. Omg it was delicious! Weirdly for me the star of the night was the fried rice...normally I don't like the fried rice served on the side because it's either dry or lacks taste because they don't put anything on it like ham or shrimp or something to give it some kick. Suvis fried rice side was delicious...how they made some regular fried rice taste so good I just don't know. We ended the night with some tempura ice cream...mmmmm I wish I could have some more of that deliciousness right now! One thing they could have done, though, is add some more chocolate syrup there was too little of that. Again, the food was great...the service fantastic... They were super nice, and had great vegan options on the full menu (not as apparent on the lunch menu, but as soon as I asked, they brought out the full menu to show me). They were very friendly, and I ultimately got the veggie sushi boat - it was huge, but so inexpensive and very beautifully done - $13 for a large selection! Terrific! My sis got the volcano chicken and miso came with it, and she said it was really tasty and had a nice cilantro hint to the flavor. This place is just okay. I enjoyed the atmosphere and thought the chabudai seating was fun. Although our waitress was really nice, the service was very slow and when there was an error in our order, it took way longer than it should to get her attention. We also had to walk up to the register to ask for the bill because the waitress was responsible for too many tables. I ordered a Florida sushi roll and it was decent. Nothing to rave about though; I've had better and I've had worse. Only reason why I give it a 3 is that it took the chef to start the hibachi session about 30-35 minutes after receiving our drinks and miso soup to start when we were the only ones in the room. My favorite Thai spot down south. Suvi Thai & Sushi is probably the best in the area in my opinion. The restaurant is clean as the day they opened and the service is second to none. The food is right on target and I'm glad they have kept that standard. I'm a huge sushi fan and have never been disappointed with their fresh ingredients. I usually order the Chicken and shrimp soup to start. It is great and I just wished it came in a bigger bowl but at $4.50, I'll be OK. I also go with and recommend their house salad with the ginger dressing. It is one of my favorite after Benihana's. For entree I enjoy the Ginger Snapper. Fresh snapper over mixed veggies with fresh ginger & fragrant garlic sauce. It comes with a side of fried rice. This dish is excellent and will keep you coming for more. Ordered Pad Thai, Miso soup, seaweed salad and a Beauty and the Beast roll. I had never had Pad Thai before so I had no idea what to expect but I found it to be inedible. The only taste I could taste was peanuts. It was an extremely bland dish and the meat (chicken and shrimp) were extremely dry. My husband who normally eats anything and everything couldn't eat it either. I would never get this again. The seaweed salad was also inedible. We've gotten this before at other restaurants and they serve the seaweed boiled so it's tender and easy to chew, but this place served it almost raw......could not chew it, therefore couldn't eat it. Miso soup was good as was the Beauty and the Beast roll. So half our meal was inedible. I don't think we'd go here again. read more

We were looking for Asian food during our stay in homestead and the people at Travelodge recommended Suvi. The menu offers everything one could want from both a Thai and Japanese place, and the environment was quite welcoming and clean! We ordered ginger beef rice dish, udon, and massaman curry. The food was around 3.5 stars, I'd say. not 100% authentic Thai, but it came out fairly quickly and the service is absolutely attentive and fantastic. Not sure that I'd return within the next week nor any time soon in the future, but the service is wonderful. read more

I order soft crab shell fried as an appetizer and my sister spring rolls. They were good the crab came with soy sauce but I asked for spicy mayo and ate my crab with that sauce and it was good.
