This is far THE BEST all you can eat I had in the Bay Area! The bay roll (roll with scallop and a creamy sauce on the top) is simply AMAZING! The curry katzu is the best curry ever, it is very flavorful! I give them 5 stars because I can't give them 10. They use quality ingredients on the food, seasoning is perfect, the service is great, super kind staff. The ambient is also super comfy. I will definitely come back!

+ AMAZING SERVICE + Food Came Out Quick + Tasty Sushi + Flashy Venue - Expensive Sushi was good quality. Chicken Kara'age was just OK. Excellent service, accommodating a large party and giving us pitchers of water for the table. Everything was pretty expensive though. Also, the sushi here is mostly "American style" but if you're OK with sushi rolls then this place is solid. Enough talk. Watch my video review here: https://youtu.be/L-5dzFqUnvk

Overall really great experience! Food quality was really good. I thought price point was fair. Love the menu, and that it had pictures of each one of the rolls service was great. It was small and seating wasn't plentiful. Loved the bento box! Would definitely come back here!

Great sushi and bentos ! First time trying it and the Incredible roll was amazing so happened to get it again. I recently came back from Japan and think their fish quality is great ! Large sushi portion and they are larger rolls so may start off with 1 or 2 rolls first. I think some ppl dislike how large the rolls are, but that just means you get more bang for your buck with just one roll ! My BF and I love sharing a bento and getting 1-2 rolls here. Their mixed tempura has a variety of vegetables that include green beans and zucchini, which are not too common in tempura mixes. I always love when I find a tempura batch that has zucchini. Fast and friendly service. Great open environment with cute yakitori decorations. I hear they do yakitori and would love to try it one time. They also have curry, dons, and soups. You order on a table at the table but I've seen some groups order with the waiter.

Great neighborhood sushi place, located in a shopping center shared by Marie Callender's and Cold Stone Creamery (and Sunright Tea Studio at the other end of the center). Parking is never a problem on that side of the shopping center. They have an extensive menu so you are sure to find something you like. I usually get some sort of nigiri sushi or chirashi, kiddo always gets udon, and husband always chooses one of the sushi rolls. We are always happy with our food. Sakebomb Sushi & Grill has been one of my go to whenever I'm craving sushi. I've been here quite a few times and their sushi is good/decent and their service has been great each time as well. The goal when going to a sushi restaurants is to try as many different rolls each visit. Although, I do have my preferences on sushi but still try to order something outside of my preferences. I prefer raw fish over baked/deep fried but I'll still order it anyway. I have tried a good amount of rolls here some were memorable, some were okay, and some I don't remember at all. Favorite: Crunch Salmon!!! Top of my list. I like the whole combo of salmon, spicy mayo with a nice crunch, and cream cheese. - Flaming Dragon: this one is the exceptional non-raw sushi roll that I really enjoyed. Sometimes they give you a show by lighting it with fire in front of you and sometimes they give it to you already cooked. Either way, taste is good. -Crunch: Good by taste and texture yet simple and nothing crazy. -Spider Man: Not many, probably only (I could be wrong) soft shell crab roll here but this was good. -OMG Roll: I thought this one was just okay. Just probably my preference on deep fried rolls being the least favorite. The rice portion was a bit much as well -Raider Roll: good. I liked the fried sweet potato topping as texture Appetizer: Baked Mussel - good Aaaanddd... I don't remember the rest. I noticed this place is inconsistent. Sometimes the same things that were ordered before tastes different than other visits. My last visit (lunch time) was probably the most disappointing one. The rice on all the rolls were hard/uncooked or tasted like old rice but before it was never like this. I'm sure the next time it'll be fine again.

Came home from a long week and wanted to order some sushi to go. I ordered a California roll, rainbow roll, and incredible roll. The sushi was good, I do like my sushi rolls to be a little smaller but the fish itself tasted great. The derived was fast only had to wait 15 minutes after calling my order in. The ambiance of the place was cute and small which I always enjoy.

A solid spot for sushi! I came here a while back in February and the staff were all very attentive and courteous. They have a really large selection of sushi to choose from! I appreciate that they have pictures for their sushi. I'm a visual eater and need to know what my sushi looks like lol. Prices are set fairly. We ordered Mango Sweet, Super Star, and Flaming Dragon (baked roll). I enjoyed all the rolls! My fave was Flaming Dragon and Super Star! The server came by to lit the Flaming Dragon! It was so cool! The wait to get our food was super quick! Plenty of parking spots. Card accepted. All in all, I highly recommend this spot!

    Chicken karaage
    Cheryl E.

Maybe it's because I ordered the food to go that made the food less appetizing. But this is hands down one of the most disappointing karaage chickens I have ever ordered. The pieces of chicken they chose seemed like they were discarded chicken chunks or trimmings, so when they're battered and fried it makes it hard and chewy. Aside from the texture, there was practically no flavor. Sort of just tasted like frying oil. I ate 2 pieces before giving up. I even tried to hand it off to someone else but they weren't very pleased with it either. Sad to say that this ended up in the trash. We also ordered the incredible roll and a tempura roll. Upon looking into the bag, there must have been some kind of miscommunication because we were given a tempura shrimp appetizer and not the roll. So we were let down again. As far as the incredible roll. That may have been the only saving grace for this review. It was decent.

    Sushi roll loaded with rice
    Sandy Q.

After our dentist appointment, I took my daughter here to pick up lunch. I ordered sake tempura roll, orange blossom roll, shrimp tempura roll and a bento (salmon teriyaki + CA roll). In terms of taste, I thought the sushi rolls were bland. All of the rolls were loaded with rice and the salmon were thinly sliced. As for the portions, it was on the small side, compared to other sushi restaurants I've ordered from. For the price we paid, it was definitely not worth it.

Lion king roll instantly fell apart and was seeping in mayo. Yuck!
    Andrea A.

This post is about the lion king roll. If you're thinking about getting it, think again. You'll thank me! I'll set the scene. As I took the takeout box out of the bag, I immediately knew something was off. The "fish" on top looked like it could be eel, and it was smothered with mayo. Upon picking up one roll, it completely fell apart. The rice was rock hard and the only thing keeping it together was the mayo. Inside was the "California roll," which was just A LOT of mayo, a small amount of imitation crab, and browning avocado. To literally top it off, there were scraps of salmon, meaning just the thin layer of gray fat and skin. No orange in site! After spending over $15 on this meal, I was hoping that it would taste better than it looked. But I was wrong! Saying it was disgusting is an understatement. Probably the grossest meal I've ever eaten. The worst part wasn't the fact that I threw it out after eating only one slice. It is that I used to be a regular here and the lion king roll used to be edible. It wasn't until these last couple visits that they did me dirty. Yes, I did give them the benefit of the doubt (because I didn't want to hate this place) and gave them this second and final chance. But after this, I've lost trust in this local establishment to handle my sushi. From my experience, take your sushi craving and money elsewhere. Do better Sake Bomb!

So got seated pretty quickly and dug into the menu. It's not expecting to be greeted with some unorthodox Ramen options in comparison to many of the other places that we've been to. Of course they have your standard offerings, but then they have a lot of other different takes on Ramen that seemed pretty good. Of course, my wife had to go and try the most eye catching one: the Saturn, with it's crag of fried softshell crab on top! I wasn't really feeling soup and elected to try the Gemini (exes be damned!). I didn't try my wife's just because I can't handle spice unfortunately, for the gym and I was really good! Really hit the spot, and not too much. A lot of places to go to the 10 to overdo it on servings and always end up leaving a lot behind. This was just enough for me for one night. Heard good things about Ramen Hajime, so decided to give it a try on a Saturday around 12:45pm. We…read morejoined the waitlist on the kiosk - there was about a 30 minute wait, and we got a text when our table was ready. Good amount of vegan options! I got the Kiwami Vegan extra spicy and my friend got the Kiwami Tonkotsu spicy (adding spice costs 50c more) and we received our food after 20 minutes. Kiwami Vegan (5/5): This was delicious! The curry broth and the plant based meat were well seasoned and the yuzu gave the dish a nice citrus kick. I love spicy food and usually feel like ramen is not spicy enough, but this was the perfect level. Noodles were tasty and there was a good noodle to soup ratio. My friend gave the Kiwami Tonkotsu a 4/5 and said it could be a bit more flavorful. She tried some of my Kiwami Vegan and said she would order that next time instead Overall, amazing vegan ramen! Although there isn't a vegetarian option, the vegan option is plenty flavorful on its own and I didn't feel like I was missing anything. Ramen Hajime now joins Marufuku Ramen in my list of favorite ramen shops in the bay. I would definitely return!

I can understand the hype at this place. My first (sometimes only) bowl of ramen at any ramen place…read moreis normally tonkotsu. Being a broth lover, I can assess the authenticity of a ramen place by tonkotsu broth. And this place really does an excellent job in delivering a savory fatty bowl of tonkotsu ramen. I also added duck breast to mine. $6 for 4 pieces of duck breast is actually no bad of a deal, especially considering the quality of the duck breast slices. They were not super thick, but got enough bite in there for you to enjoy the texture of the duck meat. It was not overdone and did not lead to a less than desired rough sandy texture. Rather, it was possibly slightly undercooked. The skin was intact and the fattiness from duck skin just brought so much joy to every bite. I savored every bit of that in silence. Service was good, servers were attentive enough. Make sure to go in and put your name down on the tablet device. Do not wait outside "in a line" cuz they only call people by the tablet.

I wish this place had better hours because I swear it's always closing or closed when I want to go…read more But alas I finally was able to go once, and it lived up to the hype. The uzumakiya udon was sooo flavorful and yummy. A tiny bit oily, but I liked how the broth stayed light yet the meal was very filling. I rarely see crispy lotus root, so I really cherished it. Udon noodles were very qq. Wanna try the spicy one next time!

The broth is so flavorful and unique, and the texture of the udon is perfect. Spicy udon 10/10 So when they announced they were moving toward ramen, I totally understood why people were upset. I was heartbroken too. But I also felt bad seeing so many people leave negative reviews without even trying the ramen first. I've been a customer for years but review bombing a small business over a menu change just didn't sit right with me. I decided to give the ramen a try. Is it as unique as the udon? No. The udon is definitely what made this place stand out. But the ramen was still very good. The broth was porky, fatty, and creamy! The Chasiu could use some work. Classic Tonkatsu ramen 8.5/10 I'm really glad they listened to customer feedback and brought the udon back. I hope anyone looking at this Yelp page for the first time disregards the bad reviews and understands that is just how passionate people are about their udon! At the end of the day, I'm happy we get to have both. The spicy udon is still one of the best things I've eaten in the Bay and the ramen is absolutely worth trying too.
