Order #126726828 I am extremely frustrated with how my order has been handled. My first pair of shoes arrived damaged, and I spent over two hours on the phone with different representatives trying to arrange an even exchange. Instead, I was told I had to reorder and return the damaged pair, which I reluctantly agreed to. The replacement order was even worse -- it arrived late, in the wrong size, and clearly worn. I placed my first order on August 13, which arrived late, and the second pair didn't come until September 2. After waiting all this time, I still don't have the shoes I needed for my upcoming event. I even agreed to keep the shoes if I was given a 50% discount, but I was only offered 15%, later raised to 20%. After all the inconvenience and wasted time, that is not acceptable. Saks Off 5th has lost my business, and I am very disappointed in how such a large company could make these mistakes and offer so little resolution. What a shame. read more

I loved this store. It was my first time. It's a good sized store with men, women and some children items. Besides their clothing, I love their accessories- jewelry, hair accessories, beanies, gloves, they even have small Christmas items for sale, we purchased a mini glass light up tree. They have petite sizes, name brands, cashmere sweaters, you name it. Staff was so friendly, the cashier women was so kind and chatted a while with us and even shared her candy with us. The store is well organized, they have shopping carts and bathrooms for customers. There is plenty of parking in the lot. They are across from other shopping stores. Yes, what the reviews say are true, RUDE employees. However, there is one single employee who stood out to me last time because she was so pleasant and kind, her name is Irene and they need to give her a raise for her professional and because how her "boss" came sashaying behind the counter still chewing on her lunch and had a stank face and moving like a sloth when Irene was the only one who appeared to be working while the line was getting longer. Even though I sent pictures and it was within the 30 day return policy, Saks refused to return the item. Then, thinking this was an anomaly, I ordered a pair of pearl earrings. They broke immediately. Again, Saks has refused to acknowledge sending out defective merchandise. They refuse to return the item. Once again, I have to refute the charge with my credit card company. I feel like a requirement to work here should be that you are extremely rude and unpleasant. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a store in my life. They will just ignore you when you need help, the entire store is a mess. They don't honor the coupons like they say they will and you will sit on hold for at least 30 minutes if you call in. Each time I went in if it wasn't me they were talking about I would witness cashiers behind the register whispering about other customers in the store. It is such a shame that a company like this would have such a pathetic customer service staff but it is true. Was coming in today with my Husband just to so some simple shopping but was very appalled when entering this store. It WAS horrendous absolutely horrible inside. Everything was. Very unprofessional and unorganized I'm surprised who even is in charge of this store is okay with this obviously they are because it's been this messy for a while I came in December of 2023 and when I came recently it looked just the same if not worse. I'm only taking the time to write this because it was that displeasing in here. The items inside were not put away properly stuff all over the floor and the items displayed looked like they were just tossed obviously this Saks is not that important as the others and has no value. I like this store for items that tend to rarely go on sale in the Dept stores because here it's always discounted up to about 30% to 50% .... their sign says up to 70% off Dept store prices that's more so for the clearance items- like the last call or pick of what's let over. Like their colognes and perfumes about 30% off the Dept stores but only select brands. They tend to carry a lot of Gucci and Salvatore Ferragamo in women and for men the stakes are Burberry, Monte Blanc and at times Givenchy. They moved this smell good section from the front entrance area to the front counter near the sunglasses section. What I like best are their sunglasses and now very few optical frames. For sunglasses they have designer shade at a fraction of retail and if you have a prescription put in those at your local eye doctor office you're definitely saving by buying them here. They actually have some of the most current and on trend designers from Burberry, Ray Bands, Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci, Tory Burch and Tom Ford. They sunglasses section has now consumed the optional section as that is very sparse but might soon be gone. With regards to shoes there's always A clearance section and then the other sections are nicely marked with sizes and kept pretty clean. The purse section is on point with Valentino and Rebecca Minkoff designers and many more. They have a nice section that carries Effy jewelry and more. I always thought you could only get that on like a cruise which is what I was told in the past but I find it here and also a section at Macy's. If you're into this type of jewelry check out their selection you might find what you want at a better price. I don't come here to shop for clothes I mainly come here to take a look at their sunglasses and perfumes. They have some of the brands that I like and have purchased. Always like to see what's new and popping in here as well. I'm not a fan of the clothes section because they don't tend to have a plus size section but they do have a lot of stuff for women and men's. I believe the largest size they carry is probably like an extra large which really fits is like a samedium but it's all good. It don't stop me from looking. The staff are nice, they walk around/about... they might say hello, they may not. If you're looking for that really personable experience with regards to the staff you're probably not gonna get it until you're at the cash register paying on your way out. But if browsing and I need something I don't hesitate to ask and they been pretty helpful pointing me in the right direction. It's a clean establishment and the bathrooms from a woman's perspective I've been pretty well-maintained. I can't say this is a one stop shop for me but if there's one or two items that I really want to find out a great bargain I come here. read more

I just got a new job as a senior product development engineer and knew I needed to upgrade my wardrobe! Walked into a very clean store and found so many cute options! - tons of shoes that are size 10 & up (most other stores don't carry many) - quality sweaters that were very adorable - tons of super comfy work slacks Also wanted to mention how incredible Leslie (assoc: 364851) was. It was later in the evening and she was truly a breath of fresh air. She knew the store inventory well and even helped me find a couple of pants that I thought the store was out of! Customer service was a 10 out of 10 and I literally can't wait to come back and keep building my closet. Went in today to return an item I ordered online. The older African American woman at the counter (Irene on the return receipt) didn't even greet me and sounded impatient and accusatory when she asked, "Where did you get this from?" Apparently she couldn't find a reference number on my receipt and sought the help of another cashier. When the return was done I even thanked her, to which she responded with a curt "Uhum." I thought she was having a bad day until I saw her joking with a couple of customers. If I could give zero stars, I would. DO NOT BUY ONLINE. I ordered some things and the carrier never delivered- lost the package. I sent them the proof via email from the carrier and Off 5th also confirmed with carrier that it was not delivered to me. Saks is not refunding my money and is now saying that they will not refund. They play games with case numbers- every time you call or chat, you have to get a case number and wait 3 days for some other email that never arrives. Please do yourself a favor and do not go through the stress I did. I am still waiting for my refund and it is not happening even though they have seen my proof of no delivery. They do not care and keep your money. Make sure you do a charge dispute in time otherwise, you will lose your money. read more

On top of the low inventory in this store the quality of employees are just not up to par with the prestige that Saks should carry. In particular one employee, "Joy" she is an arrogant imposter with terrible hygiene. Dirty hair, nasty breath, sloppy attire and a bad attitude. I had a question regarding the sign outside. So, I asked, Joy, for the GM. Joy outright lied to me and identified herself as the GM. As, I was checking out I asked the attending cashier if the woman in the cheetah print (Joy) is the GM, she told me she was a STORE LEAD but not the GM. IMPOSTER!!! Apparently, Joy, feels the need to inflate her position. Naturally, this made me upset. When I "publicly "confronted her as to why she deceived me, she demeaningly dismissed me with a snarky goodbye and a waive. Joy cannot be anymore rude and unprofessional. I've lived in SD for almost 10 years and I've always driven by Off Saks but never went inside before. I always thought it was inconvenient that it was across the street from Mission Valley Mall lol, I think that's why Nordstrom Rack and Bloomingdale's Outlet are more popular. Anyway, the other week, I had one evening off and nothing to do so I thought I might as well finally check this place out. Their inventory was limited in certain departments but not bad either. In their beauty section that had inexpensive CHI hair tools, the CHI hair brushes were I think under $10. The shoe section had a lot of nice items! Worth the look. The thing that I like about Off Saks is that they have higher-end brands compared to Nordstrom Rack. They carry discounted Gucci purses, I think some Prada too. read more

Saks is an outlet center for the person with Couture tastes and a Nordstrom's budget. This is not a place to shop if you are on a tight budget. But if you have ever wanted an Escada jacket and can't afford the $2000 one in the boutique you will find it here for $500. There are tons of designers to choose from here Escada, Prada, Calvin Klein, Romeo and Juliet, Suzi Chin, Aidan Matlox and SO many more. There are so many designer bargains here. you can get an Aidan Matlox for around $200, it's a deal. There are purses, clothing, shoes and now even jewerly such as David Yerman to choose from. It's a designer buffet. They have a free members card that will give you advance notices of sales and coupons, I suggest you sign up for it. Although this is one of the better outlet stores I have ever been too, very organized, you will still have to wade through many racks. So bring your patience and where clothes you can change in and out of easily. read more

Staff is rude and look irritated if you ask for help. 4 people standing behind the register doing nothing and we still had to ask for assistance -standing 5 feet away. The girl just smirked at us before helping with shoes. We have been to this shop many times and have spent plenty of money here including buying art. I purchased online a Theory Tweed Sheet dress and an Alexia Admor skirt from Saks Off 5th for a total of $230. In both instances, the zippers broke (cheaply made items). The skirt I have never worn and the zipper broke and the dress the zipper broke on my first time wearing. I purchased these two wool winter items in the early fall of this year. When the California weather finally changed for me to be able to wear these items, the zippers broke. When I contacted Customer Service, because the items were now outside of their small 60-day return window, they offered me a 10% discount to repurchase the items! Unlike Nordstroms, Saks Off 5th not only sells poor quality items, but they also do not take responsibility for their poor quality items and then they have the audacity to think I would spend more money repurchasing these items at a 10% discount! Really? Don't those idiots realize that it will be much cheaper for me to pay to have new zippers installed? So technically, now that I have to spend more money just to be able to wear items purchased from them, there is no "outlet" discount. They have now lost a long time, heavy spending customer. We went in yesterday to return some jeans we had bought. They told us they are currently not taking returns and their system has been down all day. What's interesting is you can purchase merchandise but not return. I've worked in retail before and I'm pretty sure the same system that you purchase things also returns them. I don't think the store is doing well , they are probably not taking returns until after the new year to show More sales. Such bad business by them. We called again today at midday, they said they don't know of their system is working. The store has been open for 2 hours and they don't know if they can take a return. I'm new into wearing normal clothes after 24 years of wearing Sailor stuff. Dress shoes had always been the on sale stuff you'd find and wear twice a month on Sunday. But those twice a month on Sunday shoes don't last for 9 hour days 5 days a week. And the current mall trend of soft sole shoes - don't fall for the hype. They'll wear out in 6 months too. So, I was on the hunt for true, hard sole, resole capable shoes that weren't a fashion trend 2 minutes ago and were made to a lasting quality. Low and behold one brand I liked for a simple aesthetic, durable build quality and ability to be resoled - only to find they're costly. Like the cost of several of the shoes bought in the past. Like, I can't afford that. On a whim, we step into Saks OFF 5th. Which is, actually more like an outlet store than the supposed "Outlet malls". Which would forebode finding everything I want, only in sizes that would be somewhere in the realm of pygmy elves or Goliath. Or that anything my size would be 16 shades of purple with reflective stripes. However. To my complete shock: they have the high end brand I coveted, and have it roughly 45% off. And in my specific sweet spot size. Not the "I'll endure it because it's cheap", not the "never mind circulation" but the size I need. And in styes - yes plural - of a great variety. E C S T A T I C For the price of one pair, I picked up two pair and had money remaining for a belt. Aside from shoes, there seemed to be a great deal of selection of Shirts, Suits, and accoutrements. Having only peeked, the selection seems to be OK. Checking electronically, the prices they have are on point, matching or lower than the various on line places - and beating them if you factor in shipping. So it is a fit. Service is mild to non existent. We saw employees at the front of the store, non in the back. It was early, and there was a heavy amount of sorting going on. Horrible Service. Bought my items at 6Pm and the next morning returned them after trying them on at home. I removed the tags and because of that no returns were allowed even though I had all the tags. The manager Gaby or whatever her name was was absolutely rude almost pushing my items to the floor. She was yelling and telling me to get out after I had just asked what to do from this point. The pants had holes in them and nothing really matched if I the pants wouldn't work. I'm a shopper. The heavy kind. As in I am shopping on my phone whilst standing in line waiting to pay, kind of shopper. And I'm not just a shopper, I also love a good bargain buy. Everyone knows you don't need to spend a million bucks to look like it, am I right ladies (and men)! So I used to love digging for treasures at Last Call (Neiman Marcus) in San Ysidro...until they closed :'( Yes, I did wear all black for a week afterwards to pay my respects. Don't judge me! Since then, I would head over to Loehmann's & the Rack (Nordstrom) to find hidden gems. Now, alas, it is between the Rack and Off Fifth because even Loehmann's is closing! What is this nonsense! What's a girl gotta do to find a good deal around here?? I recently came in to take a look around, because I too, like Yelper Amiee L. below, purchased a $20 groupon for $40 credit, thinking it'd be a cinch to pick something up. Nope. There is very little inventory in the bags & shoes depts, which, to me, is a dealbreaker. Those are my faves! So I resorted to using my credit online, which was better because everything is organized and I could see things sorted by style/size/price. Honestly, it makes me sad to say this, but if Off Fifth doesn't get their act together & do something to reel in more customers, I see it closing & becoming a strictly online store. The checkout process is not very efficient, especially in comparison to the Rack across the street. The cashiers are slow, and the machines look ancient. There is no organized line and customers line up at both ends while cashiers pick at random who to take first. So weird. The associates in the store gather together and chat a lot, instead of keeping busy and assisting customers. There are one or two exceptions. They are, however, doing a pretty good deal right now with BUY ONE CLEARANCE ITEM & GET TWO FREE. Unfortunately, there isn't that much to choose from, but if you get lucky, you can get a great deal on some high quality items! All in all, as a shopaholic, I'm not impressed. Our last visit, I bought a few pairs of jeans, some ties, and a pair of shoes....and saved a ton. The employees here are very helpful and keep the store organized well. i am predominantly an online shopper...however i prefer to do my returns in store. This is the reason I came in here...had a return at the rack across the way and then over here.... return was quick, painless and easy...service was very friendly. i decided to walk around and see if there was anything i wanted (i don't need anything)... prices are comparable to the rack...rack is regularly priced lower...but comparing sale to sale...about the same...off 5th had everything 40% off...rack occasionally does 25% off clearance. ...which makes them pretty much even... the "regular" priced stuff here was nicely organized by brand ...however the clearance was a cluster f$%#...if i was in the mood...i think i would have found some great deals here...but i wasn't. I took a quick look ...some clearance was additional 50% off, some were buy 1 get 1 free. I am definitely motivated to return here with ample time and be in the right frame of mind for digging through clearance racks. i gotta check out the north county location too... read more
