We recently tried Panda Buffet in New Smyrna, Florida, and overall had a good experience. While the buffet itself is on the smaller side, it still offers a nice variety of traditional favorites like General Tso's chicken, beef and broccoli, and other classic Chinese dishes most people are looking for. One of the highlights for me was the hibachi option. I chose steak with mushrooms and onions, and it was solid--the steak was tender and cooked well, which was a pleasant surprise for a buffet. They also offer a small selection of sushi. I only tried the tuna roll and sashimi, but both tasted fresh and were better than expected. For the price, I think it's a good deal, especially considering lunch is only $12.99. Dinner pricing felt reasonable as well for what's offered. We came around 6 PM, which is prime dinner time, and a few items had clearly been sitting out for a bit and weren't as fresh as they could have been--but nothing was inedible. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated for Christmas, which made the atmosphere feel warm and inviting. Our server was attentive enough and kept things moving smoothly. While I can't say I'd go out of my way to return or rush back--personally, I tend to prefer a larger buffet with more options--it's still a decent spot if you're in the area and looking for a solid, affordable buffet meal. read more

First time visiting this restaurant and it was amazing. Food was delicious. Staff members were all very friendly. This restaurant is very clean. They offer a variety of food. My favorite food was the teriyaki chicken on the stick and the spare ribs with lo mein and rice. My kids loved the food. They had the Fried chicken, which was very crunchy and lo mein. My kids also loved the variety of dessert. They have ice cream, cookies, cakes, and many more items. We will definitely be back again. read more

Went back tonight to try the Snow Crab Legs. What a DEAL !!! $29.99/person for the AUCE Snow Crab Legs and the rest of the Entire buffet. Crab Legs were DELICIOUS and the Entire family had their fill. Staff did a Great Job keeping everything filled on the Buffet as well as our drinks. (3/11/2025) basically the only place in NSB for a sit-down Chinese-style meal. Mom and Dad love a good buffet for variety and dollar value. It's a family-run business, from the front to the back of the house, all so very nice. Place is clean and well- tended. It's Americanized Chinese for sure, but as long as it tastes good, Mom and Dad are happy. Dad's MO is to take one piece of everything he can eat (he's got gout, so he doesn't eat everything). He's a fan of sushi, seaweed salad, and rice noodles. Mom likes all the seafood, the baked crab, baked fish, and spicy edamame. My plate looks like a white person's carryout order, egg roll, potstickers, crab Rangoon and lo mein. I am a fan of the flash-fried green beans, for sure. We didn't make it to the made-to-order hibachi side, but that looked fresh and fun. There are some true Chinese treats on the buffet, like the char siu bao (steamed roast pork buns) and sesame balls. Wonton, Egg Drop, and Hot & Sour Soups all also very tasty and warming. Decent variety for $12.99 at lunch time and convenient location on SR-44. read more
