Gotta say, you can't really beat value here. My girlfriend and I ordered chicken and steak hibachi. We didn't wait too long until the chef came out. I was pretty disappointed in the chef, as he didn't perform any tricks that you typically see at hibachi tables, especially when there's an automatic 18% tip included in your bill. The food however, was cooked to my liking. As I mentioned, the value here is phenomenal, with portions enough for 1.5 - 2 people per hibachi entree. You can see from my photo below just how much food there is. Overall, I came in here thinking wow, they're gonna charge $23 for hibachi with 18% with a chef that's very matter of fact? But it truly makes sense based on how much they cook per person. Try it out, high 3s/5

3.5/5 We dropped in for some hibachi, and boy we got much more than just "some". While waiting for the table to be filled, we had out mushroom soup and salad- the mushroom soup broth was surprisingly flavorful and delicious. Our chef came and began to prepare the food- none of the thrill that you usually expecy from hibachi, but from the beginning, serving sizes were ridiculous. Lots of fried rice for everyone to go around, and vegetables too. When he began to cook the meat entrees, I couldn't quite believe my eyes- each portion was certainly enough for two people. My boyfriend got the NY strip and I got the teriyaki chicken, and both were super flavorful (on top of the white sauce which is delicious as well), and everyone walked out with plenty of leftovers. A somewhat bizzare experience, as our seat neighbours were all certainly interesting, and our chef was quite matter of fact for the most part (but randomly trolled us once). Despite that, definitely a good food experience, and we would return again.

We had been looking to try this place for some time now so decided to try one Friday after work...actually made some new friends...the wait staff was very friendly and attentive...never let my glasses go dry, which is very important to us...the food and chef was great...went out his way to connect with each guest...had a great evening...came wait to get back...

Fun time at Sakura tonight for my wife's birthday. Because some of us had shrimp allergies, they started our show with only our party half-filled a table Juan was a talented and funny chef and it was a very delicious and entertaining meal. It fun watching the expressions on the faces of the kids nearby every time a huge flame shot up from their table. Our server was fantastic contrary to the older negative reviews mentioning servers. It seems Sakura must have fixed this problem. Plus they brought out a little birthday cake and sang. Can't wait to go back!

Came here to celebrate hubby's birthday. The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside and the…read moreservice is really top notch. It was our first time there. We picked the middle tier option. We thought it was a little pricey but the quality of meats was very good. And the amount of food you get was really a lot and this is coming from a heavy hitter at AYCE restaurants. They also included dessert. I only wish they allowed for AYCE options AND à la carte options, like Gyuzo Japanese BBQ in Rockville. It turns out they're owned by the same company. You must come very hungry to get your money's worth.

My second time here…read more I do really like this area of Columbia and realize that I want to hang out here more often. When you arrive at the restaurant, the hostess greets you and ask if you have a reservation. Both times I've been here, it wasn't too busy but it was during the week. Service is really good. They're always very helpful in explaining the menu. We went with the AYCE Master option. The Legend option with the Wagyu looks appealing but I can't justify spending $88 a person. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem spending the money, since most of it goes to alcohol when we're having dinner anyways, but it was a really nice experience. This would be a place I would bring friends from out of town who want to have an experience similar what you would find NYC or Vegas. We had a really good time, especially on $10 margaritas and all you can eat meat. The presentation is really wonderful and I love the thought behind the presentation when it comes out. The Wagyu Fried Rice and Curry is one of the bests I've ever had. And the scallops with butter on the grill were awesome. Definitely a favorite. I will add the the iPad that you order with will start a timer for 90 minutes, and you can only put in an order every ten minutes which was annoying, so I did feel a bit of pressure with ordering. The time limit is to control time spent which makes sense if it was busy. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the wet mop smell we had during dinner, but don't know if it is because it was hot out and the AC was not blasting high enough with all the grills going off, so it was kind of hot and sticky during dinner. I may come back next time to check out Happy Hour next time! Vibes are actually pretty cool. Service is great.

Easy access to a garage that's just around the corner because it is on a very busy street. So garage parking is a must. I don't believe they have been open too long as they are still working on their liquor license. Very cute restaurant nice and tidy but a lot of personality in a small space. I was greeted when I walked in and since I was by myself I opted to sit at the sushi bar area. I forgot to take a picture of my food when I came out because I was so hungry...but the rolls were delicious and fresh. I also took some ramen home and I loved how they packaged everything up for me. I would give them a 3.75 stars because I wish they offered more ramen like beef and with the chicken broth not chicken that's fried. As the chicken was soggy and not eatable when I got home even though it was separated from the ramen. I would give them another try if I'm in the area to try more rolls and their alcohol selection.

Adam was our waiter, very nice, polite and professional. Great customer service. The place was lightly lit. My teenager visited this establishment this evening. This is the type of service she received, and…read moreit was so bad that she asked me to post it. I normally don't, but for others like us with serious food allergies (anaphylaxis), we feel we should share. This is what she wrote below: I informed the staff upfront that I have an egg allergy, which unfortunately led to a lot of confusion and disorganization. It wasn't clear whether my meal would be prepared separately in the back, and the process felt very uncoordinated from the start. The chef didn't have the ingredients ready at the cart and had to send the server back twice to get the correct portions of rice and meat. When my food finally came out from the back, it was chicken--even though I had ordered filet mignon--so they had to start over and cook the correct dish. After that, there was another delay of about 15 minutes while the steak was entered into the system. Then someone came back to ask how I wanted it cooked and whether I wanted noodles, even though those details should have been handled earlier. Initially, I was told I couldn't have certain items, but later that seemed to change. In total, it took about an hour before I was finally able to eat. The lack of coordination and communication made what should have been a simple accommodation for a food allergy unnecessarily stressful. We only ask that you do better to serve your customers and community.
