They had a dark smooth beer on nitro Death Clock which was awesome while it lasted. I have tried several others that were good but I keep going back to my favorites. Atmosphere: 5 - Relaxed. One of the best atmosphere's in the country. Dozens of old leather couches and litter the concrete floor sitting on rugs. It is undeniably cozy! I just sit and chill out. Especially when they have live music going which is several times a week. The beer is good but I return for the atmosphere. Service: 5 - Ordered at the bar. Beer delivery is quick. Knowledgeable staff! Food: truck is here on weekends which is when I stop by. Cultural/Political Agenda (1-5): 5 -Everyone is welcome. Untappd pointed me toward one of the most popular breweries in a city full of popular breweries: Burial Beer Co. Since I was driving, I kept things responsible and sampled taster-sized pours, spacing them out with non-alcoholic mocktails and 0.0 beer like a grown man who still wanted to remember where he parked. Burial also offers cocktails, ICEEs, low-ABV session beers, THC beverages, wine, and self-serve water. The menu helps you navigate the offerings with color-coded sections: cocktails in blue, light-bodied beers in neon green, dark ales in orange, and high-ABV options in pink. Food isn't available onsite, but delivery gets the green light. I grabbed a corner seat at the bar, not because I wanted to brood, but because the post-brunch crowd had arrived in full force with babies, buddies, and dogs. It's definitely geared towards beer but they have other beverages available as well, and they typically will have a food truck post up on busy nights. There are no TVs and most of the seating is set up as couches which gives it an intimate lounge vibe where you can hang with some friends and converse. Outside they have picnic benches and fire pits so on a beautiful summer night it's a good spot to post up. Not my usual type of hang but I definitely appreciate the vibe here and enjoy popping in for a brew every now and then.

I had a really disappointing experience here. As I was going to show the bouncer my ID, I briefly…read moretripped. I had been drinking, but I was completely coherent, able to communicate normally, and was not slurring my words, falling over, or behaving disorderly. Despite this, the bouncer immediately assumed I was too intoxicated to enter and refused me entry. What really bothered me was the way the situation was handled. The bouncer grabbed my arm and physically escorted me away from the entrance in a way that felt unnecessarily aggressive and humiliating. I understand that bouncers have a responsibility to make judgment calls about intoxication and safety and I have no issue with being denied entry if they genuinely believe someone is too intoxicated. There is, however, a respectful way to handle these situations. What made the experience even more upsetting was what he said to my friend afterward. He told him that they "don't allow people like her in here." I understand he may have been referring to my level of intoxication, but that wording was extremely inappropriate. As someone who is half Asian, I found the comment particularly concerning and it honestly felt discriminatory regardless of what his intent was. I left feeling extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed by the way I was treated. Being denied entry is one thing, being treated disrespectfully and spoken about in that way is another. Unfortunately based on this experience I would not feel comfortable returning.
