We like Salad and Go but I feel like this location has tanked in the last year or so. Our out of town family that visits loves this concept and the food. But Al several months ago with family here, we ordered 6 caprese salads and not one of them had the mozzarella. Didn't visit for a few months. But the last three visits I have online ordered and waited forever lay the walk up window just to have them answer my doorbell. Then forever to get my order together. Today my order was to be ready at 5:20, I received it at 5:40. I'm pretty sure the 4 cats in the drive thru all ordered and got their food before I left. What is the point of online ordering. I have had a very good experience overall. Every time I've gone to salad to go tonight, the lady who was reading back my order had a bit of an attitude. I literally just finished my last bite of a BBQ Ranch salad and I'm already planning to go back tomorrow. I ordered online and hopped in the drive thru around 11am, a few cars already in front of me and the line continued to stack up as I waited. (They also have a walk up window and a few outdoor tables if you're not wanting to go so quickly). A great concept. Hopefully it's sustainable. This place was close to our hotel (Drury Inn) and sounded like a great place to pick up some togo salads for a hike later in the day. We also ordered some breakfast burritos and smoothies. Ordering is through the drive-thru only (or from their App). I highly recommend reviewing the menu BEFORE getting in line. Salad and Go's mantra is ultimate low prices through efficiency and automation. In order to achieve that everything needs to be quick and efficient including reduced ordering time. Salads - These overly generous salads are a steal at the price offered $5.74. My bowl was so full of salad and chicken it was too much to eat for lunch. Both the BBQ Ranch and the Jalapeño Ranch were delicious. Breakfast - Burritos are minimal and small but at such a low price (2.99) you can't complain. The main concern I have with this small chain is that their whole business model is to continually drop their prices for high quality food. True, the consumer wins for now but this ultimately puts the whole company at risk if there are market price fluctuations or unforeseen costs. This place sounds like a great MBA class project but I'd rather pay more for great drive-thru salads if it meant business stability in the long run. I love Salad and Go! The only suggestion I have is to change the Ranch dressing and the Blue Cheese dressing. I have to take my salad home and use store bought dressing. The dressing they use is just so thinned out... needs more flavor. read more

I wish I would have discovered Salad and Go sooner! I absolutely love this concept: fresh, healthy food at affordable prices. They have an assortment of salads that you can choose to include either chicken or tofu. The salads are huge and very reasonably priced. I usually can't eat the entire salad in one sitting. And the ingredients are fresh. Delicious teas and flavored teas (Prickly Pear Lemonade is our fave) are only $1. I think this concept is so on-point and I go out of my way to visit Salad and Go for my occasional meal out! This is walk-up take-out or drive-through, no dining in. This is the fastest place to grab a healthy salad! I have never had to wait very long at all and the salad is made fresh for me. The prices are very reasonable too. I recall last year they actually did a marketing initiative where they would drop prices if customers chose to conserve and not take napkins and forks unless they needed them, and it worked! They actually dropped prices on their salads! So awesome. I actually make a point to not take napkins or forks because I am always grabbing the food and heading home. I have only ordered online here twice. Ordering online and picking it up at the window is probably the way to go because every time I come here there is a line at the drive thru. I have had a positive experience at the mobile pick up counter. The pricing of all their food is reasonable. The food itself is decent. I have gotten the Chicken Caesar wrap and the Thai wrap. Both of these wraps were decent portions. I wasn't a big fan of the Thai wrap because I felt it was dry. They did put the Thai dressing on the side, which was very tasty. The chicken Caesar wrap was good, I did not like that the tomatoes were a whole baby tomato, I wish it was cut up. I didn't like bitting into a whole baby tomato Service was great. I hate they ask for your name when you place an order. They are more concerned with your name than getting your food in time. Last time I was in line for 45 minutes. First time that I had tried a salad and we had good results with these salads. Both had nice chunks of white meat chicken and the dressing was on the side. They were big and pretty filling as well. My seasonal Thai Chicken salad was excellent and loaded with cabbage, carrots, cucumbers and more. The dressing was a nice tasting version of the peanut variety. A co-worker told me about salad and go amazing breakfast burrito. I just had to try this out. Usually the lines are out into the street so I never stop. These lines move so fast so it takes no time to get your tasty meal from them, take it to work or back home and start enjoying it. They are large so it took me all day to nibble on it. So for $3.90 it ended up going both breakfast and lunch. What a smoking deal this is. I will be back to try their salads and soups too. They still have a fantastic menu, friendly people, excellent pricing, efficient service AND my orders have been 100% correct with each visit since my last review! Usually I order 3 or 4 of the salads named on their menu, but alter each one to fit my diet. Thankfully, I don't have any food allergies, but I'm trying to keep things as tight as possible. (So I can enjoy other food options during the day). My current job is 50% in an office, with the rest out and about. I want to make sure I eat healthy, so I can enjoy as much of my life as possible. I'm no, "health nut" by far, but I figure if I can limit carbs, sugars, salt and fat - I'm ahead of the game! I +LOVE+ to cheat on my daily diet with great pizza & beer! So, I "Salad & Go" during the week, and usually have a, "cheat night" on the weekend. So far, so good! The California food snob in me is gobsmacked that this chain started in Arizona when it seems like such a cliched Californian concept. Salad served up in a drive-thru window sounds like a joke Woody Allen would have made up in "Annie Hall". There are at least a dozen of these places in the Phoenix area, and when I passed by the first one I had ever seen, I became puzzled as to how good and fresh the salad could be in a fast food operation like that. The answer turned out to be 'Pretty good and darn fresh'. I didn't actually drive through but walked up, so I could study the ten salad bowls and four additional wraps they offered. No surprise that I went with the reasonably priced $5.74 Asian Salad. It consisted of organic spinach, romaine lettuce, organic carrots, red cabbage, edamame, pineapple chunks, crushed peanuts, and green onions. I went for adding teriyaki chicken pieces for an extra $1.44. With a generous container of Asian vinaigrette on the side, it amounted to just 370 calories (photo: http://bit.ly/2DObyPo). It was all quite fresh, nothing like those plastic packaged salads McDonalds used to carry from days of yore for yo mama. Here's hoping Salad and Go makes it to Northern California next year.
