After I updated my review to address the owner's original response, she responded again, calling my concerns "hysterical" and telling me to "focus on actual real world problems." At this point, I think the responses speak for themselves. I described something I personally witnessed while standing in this business and explained the impression it left on me. The owner was free to disagree with my account or provide her perspective. Instead, the responses have consisted of sarcasm, mockery, comments about my unrelated review history, and now dismissing my concerns as not being a "real world" problem. I find this extraordinarily unprofessional behavior from someone publicly responding under a "Business Owner" account. Customers should be able to leave critical reviews without being personally mocked or belittled by the owner. Nothing in these responses changes what I personally witnessed. If anything, the way this criticism has been handled has become an additional reason I would not recommend or return to this business. I have included screenshots so readers can see the owner's responses and form their own opinion. UPDATE 8/12: The business owner's response to my review has only reinforced my decision not to return. Rather than professionally addressing what I personally witnessed involving another customer, the owner responded with sarcasm, personal attacks, and comments about my completely unrelated review history. I found the response extremely unprofessional and, frankly, childish. A business owner should be able to address criticism without mocking a customer or attempting to discredit them personally. I do not know the younger customer involved; I simply witnessed the interaction while I was there waiting to order. The owner's response does not change what I personally saw or the impression it left on me. I won't be shopping here again. I've given this place a few chances because I wanted to be fair, but what I witnessed today was the final straw. I was standing in line getting ready to order when I watched who I assume was the owner walk over to a younger customer who was seated and just about to drink his coffee. She told him he needed to get up and move to make room for people who had just walked in. I walked out without ordering. The whole interaction left a terrible impression on me. Younger customers deserve the same basic courtesy and respect as everyone else, and what I witnessed came across as dismissive and biased based on age. I won't support a business where I feel younger customers are treated as less important than others.

Upon walking in, it was a nicely decorated sandwich shop. Counter to the back to do some ordering. I saw the burgers, they sounded great, but I was in cheesesteak mood. Plus they have wings and a few sauces. I ordered the cheesesteak 10" with a side order of 10 boneless wings with the Jersey Devil sauce. The wait wasn't too bad. Maybe 10 min, and I had my to go order of deliciousness. The cheesesteak was really good. You know a quality steak when you open it and there is a little bit of greasyness to it. It's not dry and it's not pouring out. It was definitely tasty and I was not disappointed one bit. The boneless wings were a nice meaty nugget. The red fire color told my head I was in for it, but my tastebuds wanted that heat. The Jersey Devil sauce was good, I feel like I've had it before, almost like a Frank's Red Hot kicked up to 11. It's hot, it's not rush me milk hot, but it's a very nice burn. I'd love to come back and try breakfast (yup they have that too) and also I'm jonesing for one of those burgers now. I saw the first few reviews kind of brigaded the place looks like when he first opened. If they were fake or they got the kinks out, this place is great and I highly recommend it.

Smallest lobster rolls on LBI! Embarrassing! They haven't lowered their prices either.read more

They had several dishes on the menu with their own unique twist. One of my favorites that was tried was burrata over a beet puree. I've seen burrata prepared easily over a dozen ways but never with beets. It was an excellent combination and left me wanting more. More my entree I had the sesame encrusted tuna. The portion was huge! They do not skimp here. The tuna was cooked perfectly rare and was very fresh. Surprisingly, one of the best things I ate at Manera's was the caramelized onion mashed potato's that came with my fiancés veal dish. These were out of this world and easily the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. I could have eaten an entire plate of them and that's saying something for someone that typically doesn't eat mashed potatoes! Another big perk is that Manera's is BYOB and much more reasonably priced compared to any restaurant on the island. You will surely leave satisfied after a meal here!

The waiter was caring, friendly, and professional. Secondly, the food was great, and actually even better than the last time. I started my lunch with a cup of their Chicken Tortilla Soup, which had a lightly spicy tomato-based broth infused with loads of shredded white meat chicken and garnished with a few tortilla strips. It was flavorful, comforting, and a perfect vehicle in which to dip their crusty Italian bread. Now the real improvement came from my selected entree. While the Asian Shrimp Salad that I had ordered previously was just mediocre, the Seared Tuna Salad that I got this time was delicious! The plate included mixed greens, sliced avocado, julienne cucumbers, pickled onions, cherry tomatoes, and sesame-crusted, sushi-grade tuna, which I ordered seared to a medium rare. The fish was tender and perfectly cooked. Cups of wasabi and Asian dressing were served on the side and further infused a tangy heat to the dish. It was colorful, textural, and simply delicious. It was a real winner! Manera's Restaurant provided yet another enjoyable meal with dedicated service in a classy, yet casual, atmosphere.

It appears to be reasonably newly remodeled, but the air conditioning was nonexistent. Sweating in my seat was not comfortable. The server seemed to have a bit of a chip on her shoulder. It took a extended period of time for her to return just to place our initial order setting that aside we figured we are good to go 45 minutes later we finally got our two eggs over easy with sides couldn't be much more simple than that 45 minutes. Wait was insane. They were not busy either. So to the most important part of the food we waited 45 mns for. 2 eggs over easy came out over hard. The sausage was sitting on the grill too long clearly potato's just ok. Sour dough toast was pretty good but at this point we are already sour on this location. I have noticed a lot of people complain about the pricing but I didn't see it as too crazy until we ended up sitting in a diner for over an hour. With the above avg prices at least do a good job. The table next to us ordered an eggs Benedict and there were no eggs on it! I thought they were kidding but nope. Table across from us left prob 35mns before us and the table was still not clear. Terrible. Maybe just an unfortunate day and things happen but this had so many levels of bad I will not be giving it another shot sorry.
