Build your own salad, as a wrap
    Jennifer N.

Salad Makers is one of the few dining options in Brentwood that is more on the healthy side. They feature a menu of salads or a build your own option. Any salad can be made in to a wrap and they've got a wide variety of fresh veggies, cheeses, proteins and more. I really enjoy coming here for lunch. Salads come in regular or large. They've also got paninis for those looking for something grilled. It's located in Streets of Brentwood, so there's always plenty of free parking. Staff is friendly and it's order at the counter and. Very casual spot with some outdoor seating along with their tables inside. Great spot for lunch in Brentwood!

I was pretty disappointed with13$ BLT. And a 9$ bland soup. Going to panera next time.

Decided to try salad makers definitely disappointed with the 9$ cup of bland soup and 13$ puny BLT.

Nice change from the fast food in the area. Was shopping with a friend and saw the Salad Maker sign, thought why not? Happy we did. Shared a Turkey avocado club and had a chicken apple crisp salad, minus walnuts add almonds. Fixings are added in front of you and the staff asked plenty of questions as to specifics on what I wanted. You can go half or large on the salad, the half size was plenty big, especially sharing a sandwich. The ask if you want your dressing mixed in or on the side. If it's mixed in they toss it in a big bowl so it's nice and mixed. The ingredients tasted fresh, sandwich was excellent. Slight toast to the sourdough bread, nice amount of avocado on it. The dining room looked a bit under construction, baseboards removed, a bit of damage to the exisiting facade, but appeared clean. Enjoyed our lunch, happy we stopped.

Not sure if they have changed ownership, haven't been here in a few months. Today will be the last time I go. The guy who helped me, barely filled up the box, when I told him what I wanted he used his tongs in a way that he didn't want to grab too much. They used to stuff the boxes where they had trouble closing them. Not today. Almost 19.00 for lettuce, few strands of cucumber, carrots and onion. No thanks.

Second time here, first time writing a review. They sale sandwiches, Salads & Soups at a pretty reasonable price, the salad sizes are great for the price, you can choose your own or you can order from their menu, everything is fresh, they have a great variety of toppings & the soups are at a great temperature hot but not too hot . I didn't get a sandwich but they looked delicious. Great for a quick lunch!! There's parking on the back. Customer service is great, & consistent .

I can't speak too much to the service since we ordered on a kiosk but I can say that the food here is kinda terrible. The salad was good and felt like a generous portion for a half size. But that's where to compliments stop. The turkey looks like cheap discount brand turkey loaf with a rubbery texture, and the bacon is clearly microwave ready. Also, the description of the turkey club is that it comes on sourdough bread but this is a ciabatta role. The sandwich/salad combo is almost $20. I wouldn't spend my money on a sandwich here again. All together, with the tip, this lunch cost just under $45. Does this look like $45 quality food? Not in my opinion.

I love the idea of this place. Salad, sandwiches and açaí!? When I went in today there appeared to be 3 younger girls working and there was no one eating inside. 4 of the tables had plates and food on them. The floor also had food on it. All of this would be ok, I'm sure the girls were in the back cleaning or something but then a cockroach walked across the floor in the middle of the dining area. I'm not sure if this is a known regional problem. Either way, management should enforce stronger cleaning practices. One girl could be on reg, one making the salads and the third bussing and washing dishes with gusto. Please call an exterminator pronto. And as a follow up ..when I say 3 times no bacon because I can tell the person talking my order seems to not listen, I mean it. Just got home to enjoy my salad and look....bacon.

Seasonal summer salad with strawberries, red onion, and feta cheese. I substituted the walnuts for almonds due to an allergy.

Ask the Community - Salad Makers

Are there any other locations in california besides brentwood 94513?

Not that I know of. There used to be one In Pittsburgh but it had a different owner.

    What are the vegan options?

You can get any salad without the meat and cheese. The acai is vegan, and I reccomend the Chicken Apple Crisp with no chicken and no blue cheese.

Love that their menu is constantly changing as they outsource all their ingredients from local vendors in the area. So it's nice they offer different selections each time. Although, I would love to have their ribeye entree available all the time. This time around, we order the Stracciatella Cheese for starters and my husband ordered the fresh catch of the day which was scallops over risotto and I ordered the hanger steak. I also ordered the Margarita Fuego cocktail and that was so refreshing. I personally loved the stracciatella cheese. It had sugar snap peas, strawberries, basil, pickled ginger, balsamic, evoo with toasted bread. You think the ingredients would be weird together but it really blended well and tasted so good. As for my Hanger Steak, everything tasted delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and will definitely come back.

Unfortunately, the bar and the kitchen just didn't deliver. My Gin & Tonic was a hazard; it was so completely overloaded with peppercorns that I felt like I was chewing my drink and had to spit them out after every sip. For food, the corn elote lacked balance, and the scallops--which arrived swimming in a soup instead of a puree--tasted noticeably off. The chicken parm was entirely forgettable. With these kinds of texture and flavor issues, there's just no attention to detail in the kitchen. Even with great service, we won't be returning.

The rice was cooked well, veggies were fresh, chicken was flavorful, and all the other toppings and sauce all worked well together. It was a world of flavors combined. The ONLY drawback that held me from giving Banh Mi Express a 5 star was the portion to price ratio. As stated earlier, I ordered a large, in which was a typical "meal prep" container. If that was the large, it made me think how small the regular size was. And to think it was basically $20 for a bowl -- thankfully it was delicious! I will definitely be coming back -- and I MUST try their sandwiches. I'm usually a sucker for Banh mi's.

We got the brussels sprouts, prosciutto and arugula pizza, four cheese pizza, and the pasta with bolognese sauce +meatballs. The brussels sprouts was what came first.. appetizer! The outer layers of the brussels sprouts was mostly burnt, while the insides were pretty burnt. I can't blame them though, most restaurants can't do brussels sprouts perfectly. I always order brussels sprouts when I see them on a menu, but very few turn out to be very good. Also, be aware that Melo's go heavy on the vinegar on the brussels sprouts. The prosciutto and arugula pizza was a personal favorite, as I am a great fan of arugula.. gotta love that unique sesame taste! My only complaint is that there is not enough prosciutto in the pizza. I have no complaints for the four cheese pizza! It did not disappoint at all! The cheese is really rich and there's a cheese pull for each slice you pull out. Though a cheese pizza appears to be underwhelming, the four cheese pizza here at melo's is perfectly heavy, and you get a different taste from each bite of your slice! On the other hand, the bolognese sauce and meatballs were not bad, but nothing new. Though the add on of meatballs were 7.50$, we only get two meatballs! Pretty pricey to be, especially cause they're nothing special. Maybe even overcooked, cause they were unnecessarily dense. However, thank you Melo's for a generous amount of pasta sauce, and the consistency of the pasta is perfectly al dente. Melo's, not bad at all!
