I also ordered a funky monkey smoothie made with rice protein. The presentation was nice but it lacked any flavor at all. I'm going to give them another try though. I'm sure it'll be a super awesome food experience when the aforementioned adjustments are made. Give this place a try.

Our server, Brock, was just as great--attentive, personable, and happy to share some history about the building and its past. We kept things simple and ordered the hummus to-go (though we had to sneak a few bites--it was excellent), along with a supreme pizza and a margherita. Both pizzas were outstanding. The crust was light, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, exactly what we'd been missing. Before we left, we had the chance to meet the owner and chef, Matias, who was warm and genuinely appreciative. As we were getting ready to go, we were treated to a little surprise--a butterscotch pudding with toffee crumbles--which was the perfect sweet finish. The gumbo was pretty good, had a tomato richness to it. I forgot what my friend ordered; probably cause I had too many martinis. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from Hammond but it's worth it.
