We ordered two salads through the salad works website. They badly messed up both orders. When we called the person who answered the phone was insanely rude. He told us that we should have known that they didn't carry certain ingredients, even though those ingredients were listed on their website. He then told us that he couldn't have done anything to communicate with us because we used a third-party, even though we used the salad Works website. He then told my wife that if we wanted hard-boiled eggs, we would see you next Tuesday, which is a euphemism for the C word. Absolutely appalling. read more

This Salad Works is sub par on all fronts. They added a Frutta Bowl a while back but did nothing for the business except confuse employees and customers. The fruit is always past it's prime and looks like they crush it before putting it to sit in the black containers for a week or so. The staff has no idea what açaí is and it's normally frozen solid or non existent. As far as salads it's much of the same, sub par ingredients wilted browned and generally sad looking. And the portions they provide are noticeably smaller than I have received and any other salad works location. And lastly the staff, they are usually disengaged and could care less about the customers or the restaurant. Every visit I have had in the last six months they are rude don't know how to do the job and to no fault of their own seem to have little to no guidance from the management. At 4:33 pm, I ordered an Avocado Cobb Salad with an extra salad dressing which costs extra, via online ordering for pick up at 5:15. Arrive at the store and did not see my order so I had to go wait in line until someone could help me. Worker could not find my order slip and after searching everywhere he found it and said "oh, I'll make it now". Waited while it was being made and he bagged it up and tied the bag extremely tight. As I was walking out, I heard the container pop open. I had to stop and fight with the tied bag and finally got it open and to my surprise, there was absolutely no Avocado on my salad. I get back in line and tell him there is no Avocado on my Avocado Cobb Salad. His response "oh". He adds the Avocado and I leave. I get home and to my surprise no extra salad dressing which I paid for, the small pieces in the picture are the avocado, which if I would have bitten into them probably would have chipped a tooth since they are rock hard and the other two items are the cores from the heads of lettuce, which by the way there was no romaine, just iceberg. And they now charge you a "OLO Service Charge" which is an online ordering fee, seriously!?!?!?! I used to go to this Saladworks pre-pandemic all the time since my office is close by. How is this place still in business? Paid $20 for two regular smoothies. I was regretting going when I saw them fill up my fruit smoothie with tap water and freezer burned fruit. They were also out of the whey protein which was the main ingredient for the other one we got. Then they put our smoothies in small cups so they had to put them back into regulars, but then the guy had already threw out the other half of one of the smoothies so we said it's fine and just to refund us the difference and they didn't know how so offered us this nasty dry cracked cookie. They said their manager had just left them to themselves and apologized. I don't blame the people working there but the Manager needs to show up for work. Went home and blended up my smoothie properly cause it was chunky and watery and sour. Added honey and fresh strawberries myself. My husbands tasted like watery milky peanut butter. I love Saladworks, but not this location. I wanted to enjoy my salad because I work very close to this location and would have been a frequent flyer had I enjoyed my experience. Granted, I recognize this is 'fast food' and that my expectations shouldn't be too high. That said, the restaurant was FREEZING, literally FREEZING. The staff were all bundled up in hoodies they were so cold. Next, the staff member who took my order just walked toward me from the cash register staring at me. Never said, hello, how can I help you, how are you today, what would you like, etc. Just said nothing until I took the obvious cue that he was waiting for me to speak first and give him my order. Additionally, ingredients wound up in my salad that I didn't asked for, for example - pasta. Fortunately, I don't have any allergies but I am a parent of a child who has dealt with allergies and this is a very dangerous practice. I asked for the dressing to be on the side, which was provided, but the containers used to provide this are extremely small. Much smaller than another location I frequent near my home. I felt I barely had enough for my salad. I shouldn't have to ask and/or pay for extra dressing just to ensure my salad has a bit of dressing throughout. The wheat roll I was given was ROCK HARD, and I mean ROCK HARD. The buffalo chicken was chewy and stringy. I also don't like how they have a tip jar and then also the machine asks if you want to tip when you pay with a card, as the person who just made your salad stares at you as you make a decision. Tipping should be something you really want to do because someone provided you wonderful service, not because you feel guilted into it as someone stares you down as though they'll remember if you tipped or not the next time you visit. I visit this Saladworks location several times a month because it's close to my job. The staff is always friendly. The restaurant and the ingredients display are always clean and organized. Recently I have been enjoying the Farmhouse salad which is amazing. The salad consists of baby kale, spring mix, roasted turkey, roasted butternut squash, roasted brussel sprouts, glazed pecans, goat cheese and the suggested dressing is apple cider vinaigrette. Today (a Wednesday) was my first go at the East Norriton Salad Works. Since the mad rush was over on Tuesday (Every Tuesday all "standard" salads are $6.99), there was hardly any line on a Wednesday. I got a "pick 2" combo - 1/2 an avocado BLT and a 1/2 salad. Everything was fine and even the lettuce mix was fresh. No issues so far. I will be back - but NOT on a Tuesday. I order from this saladworks from time to time at work. Usually I order online & pickup. It is so Easy!! Every time I arrive it's always ready. I skip the line & I'm in & out. Very efficient service. Team members are polite & friendly & everything is always delicious. One small thing I appreciate is there are always forks in the bag. I absolutely loved this place, and am psyched they're moving north to Boston, where I now live. It's great for lunch...lines can get long though. But you can create your own salads, or use one their templates..add whatever you want, etc. I used to think it was kind of pricey, but for the SIZE of this salad and the QUALITY of the product, it's absolutely a bargain. They also have frequent buyer cards, which is always nice to work towards a free one. Perfect for a co-worker, lunch date. read more

At that point she actually iced up and looked at my ticket--which had not even been started. Samantha is the worker who helped me. Five minutes turned into fifteen as I watched her talk with colleagues and do a number of other tasks while there were other workers who could have done them. I was told it was my fault. If only I had seen how busy they were an hour and a half before. Then with an attitude I was asked "do you still want your order?" When I said yes because I had ordered it, I was told I could have asked for a refund if my order was later than I wanted and should have just canceled my order. Problem is, I didn't know until my order was already half an hour late that it has not even been started. Again I cannot stress this us not a lone incident with this abysmal location. Salads are pretty good. You can mix in your dressing or have it on the side. The first time I went I asked for half on and half in the cup. They didn't charge me extra. I go in the second time and the guy says charge extra for dressing to the cashier. It dawned on me when I had already driven away. I went to E. Norriton Saladworks with my grand daughter Oct 16, 2013. The soups were delicious! We sampled the Manhattan Clam chowder and the chili, and both were superb! We shared a Salad and a large Chili. The grain bread was very good and served warm. Alexis, (store manager) was very helpful and friendly, as were all the employees.
