I ordered a salad for pickup from this place earlier this summer, when I was traveling and needed a healthier dinner option. I selected one of their seasonal offerings as seen in the attached photo. The order was ready for me to carry out when I arrived; and I remember thinking that it tasted OK when I was back at my hotel room. I didn't think it was the greatest thing I've ever eaten; but I was also happy to be eating something that wasn't carb-heavy after all the other "on the go" snacks I'd had that particular day. The employees should put on new gloves with each order. They are handling things other than food in between orders. I see it all the time. They put their hands directly in the lettuce when making salads which is fine if they put on new gloves, but they don't. Food is always excellent. The ingredients are always fresh and of a wide variety. There's never been a crowd any time we have visited. The bathrooms are a bit strangely dark and a bit creepy as a result, but seem to be maintained and well stocked. Customer service is hit or miss, contingent upon the staff attentiveness. There's always plenty of staff, but sometimes it's just not as attentive to customers as the posted reminders behind the counter suggest. We love the healthy and hearty portions and wish more locations would open in the area, instead of junk fast foods serving burgers and greasy chicken. So, anytime we get the urge for a delicious customized salad- it's worth the 20-30min drive. Catering options are also available. read more

Have to say I was completely unimpressed. The presentation of the food is not the best. The price was ridiculously outrageous. The lady pretty much mushed all my ingredients together in a bowl a plopped them onto bread. I thought I'd get slices of mozzarella for my sandwich, but nope, the lady used the mozzarella you'd use for a salad on my sandwich. It was actually disturbing watching her mush it all up. When I asked if she could put an actual slice of mozzarella on my sandwich, she told me she already put mozzarella in the sandwich... barely! Anyway thanks to me asking for a slice of mozzarella, I got charged almost $2 extra. The broccoli cheddar soup was good, nothing special, but it was the best part of the meal. The next best part was the pickle and chips. I paid about $2 extra for the roll, which mind you, was extremely hard and stale. My $13 meal jumped to $18 thanks to my ignorance. The establishment itself is nice and quiet to eat at, but it's nothing special. Will I back?... Yes... once in awhile I do like coming here, however I need to never ask for more cheese and if my roll is hard as a rock, I'll ask for another one rather than settling. The meal makes for a good lunch, but honestly looking at the photo, it looks like a meal you'd prepare for a 7 year old child. Honestly, just go for the salad, much better than the sandwiches. Saladworks was convenient today to get two items for my son and myself. We had a coupon so I got the pick 2...a salad and soup. Their lobster soup is one of my favorites. My son got the Buffalo chicken panini which is a good choice as well. I have always had a good experience at this Wyomissing location. The staff are nice and quickly fill my order. I haven't eaten in the restaurant-I just take my food home, but there always seems to be people sitting down enjoying a meal. read more

my daughter and i went in for lunch and both ordered the same thing, a pick two with a salad and sandwich. when checking out, the worker asked us if we wanted chips or a roll, for which we both got a roll (little did we know they charged $2 for them now). we were shocked and disappointed to see that our total was $36!!! very overpriced for just for a half of a sandwich and salad. I travel to Reading , PA for work. I go to Salad works eveyweek. This is probably the best place for salads in Reading area . They have a ton of variety for salad and soups .The interior is very nice . I recommend the Southwest Quinoa grain bowl and the bean soup . read more

For $9 you get a overpriced salad that is not organic and the size is small. Would be nice if they labeled the dressing so you know what is vegan. At least they have a book you can look with all the ingredients listed in everything. They use plastic you can not recycle. I've been on a mission to lose weight since Labor Day and this is our Saturday afternoon go-to spot for healthy salads. No, I mean really healthy salads. Not the salads that you get at other places that are all crapped up with crispy chicken or overly fat-filled dressings. Those crazy kids at Saladworks seemingly just rely on nice, fresh ingredients for their salads. Want a richer dressing? Go for it. Want something on the lighter side? They've got that, too. Saladworks keeps saying they are "5 min. away". Who would order food and want to wait 3 hours to receive it. I could have drove home and made my own homemade soup in this amount of time. Let me first start off by saying I found salad works on local flavor and bought a $10 for $20 voucher. I asked my sister to tag along after the gym because I mean you can't beat a $5 salad of its good, right? As you approach the salad bar there are plenty of topping choices along with different lettuce and pastas as your base. We weren't sure what we wanted right away and were even able to sample each of their soups. There were only four but the roasted butternut squash was soo tasty. My sister isn't a fan of sweet soups so she didn't quite agree, but she felt the tomato basil was fresh and so she ordered a half soup with a half Mediterranean salad. I went with the make your own which comes with five toppings (although the guy behind the counter may have miscounted and gave me an extra ). They have roasted Brussels sprouts and roasted butternut squash.. I have never seen that, but I am sooo happy I did! They were delicious on my salad. They also have almost twenty different dressings, all diverse and I went with the light raspberry vinaigrette while my sister went for the light balsamic. Both very tasty! The meals also came with a white or wheat roll, and the wheat was delicious. Overall the size of the salads were fairly large and pretty tasty. However it would've been almost $20 for the two salads without that deal, and I don't think I'd return for that price. The employees were fairly nice, although the one kind of ignored us. I have been here a few times and I normally let the small things go but I just left there and it was the worst. You close at 8pm and it's only 7:30p: the first thing we here when we opened the door was "Uhg", chairs were up in the table and employees sitting around talking. We did not even feel welcome, when we walked up to the counter the man said "to go?". He rushed us through our order and we got little of every topping. When it came to dressing he asked if we wanted one scoop or a little more. It is supposed to be one or two! I ate here a few days ago, and can say that it was honestly one of the absolute worst dining experiences I ever had. The items on the menu are simply overpriced. Most orders are over $10, which is too much for Grade-school cafeteria level salads and soup. My order in particular was badly made, as it had way too much dressing and was obviously rushed; despite the place being rather empty. All that aside, my biggest issue with this Salad Works in particular was the unprofessionalism of the staff. The blonde haired woman at the register had an extremity bad attitude towards me. She acted as though I was wasting her time by having her ring up my order. Being my first time dining here I was a little unsure of the ordering process. The woman behind the register did not have any patience, was of no help, and scoffed at me. The overall process of ordering my food felt pressured and unfriendly. On a side note, when I sat down to eat I also noticed the young girl that was preparing salads was flirting with a male coworker, while others were waiting in line to order. So disappointed.....was in town to move my son back to college. It's very hard to find healthy eating choices in a heavy retail area such as Wyomissing. Imagine my delight when we found Saladworks on Yelp. Unfortunately, when we arrived (in the middle of a torrential downpour) at 1:50 on Sunday afternoon, there was a handwritten sign taped to the front door stating that they were closing at 2:00.
