I have liked the salads here a few times. I usually do pick up. Today while I was picking up, I noticed this restaurant is filthy. It's first thing in the morning, it should be clean. The ice machine exterior has prints and dirt on the outside, the floors are mopped with dirty water and it is all smeared. The table tops are dirty. I decided not to return and after I had the baby roach climb out of my salad, which I then threw out, I decided to post this. I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. read more

Salata is okay if you don't mind over paying for a salad. They have a ton of vegetables to choose from and a handful of proteins.

Ambience - This location is fairly new still but it is still a really clean and organized store. The store is an open room with the salad bar in the back and lots of seating in the middle and along the side of the kitchen. The colors are a nice purple and white with splashes of green. There are lots of booth seats but be wary, dont just plop down on one they are actually pretty hard. Nice clean and modern vibe. Menu - This is a "Next Generation Salad Bar". So it is an assembly line of veggies, greens, proteins, sauces and etc. You have a choice of either a large or small salad or to get it in a wrap. There are 5 main salad bases you can choose from; romaine, salata mix, kale and i dont remember the other ones. Then you move down the line where it is a smorgasbord of different veggies and fruits. The variety here is actually really good so it will be easy for you to find something you really like. Then comes the cheeses which they have a nice selection of about 8 and then about 8 different fruits if you so choose. Then comes the sauces which they have 10 of ranging from light and healthy to spicy chipotle ranch, with so many calories it makes me want to just bath in it. Just kidding, the caloric values for all the sauces are pretty low, i just love their chipotle ranch. Then you can choose a protein, they have several different kinds of chicken and seafood options. After that you can get some seeds, grains, avocado, artichoke and some other things as well. Pretty straightforward and simple menu where you can put as much as you want on it. There is no limit to how many "toppings" you can request. Only thing thou that i have noticed is that each person is different and so sometimes people are heavy handed and some are light handed. Which leads to some inconsistent salads. But you can always ask for extra. Service - The service is pretty good, never had an issue. Everyone has always been very friendly and accommodating when ordering. Every time i go in i see the GM, who i always forget his name, but i think it is David. His chef coat has General Manager on it. Anyways, he is a really cool guy that has a smile on every time. He is just a really pleasant guy. The crew wears chef coats and chef hats so it gives the vibe a more refined or upscale look. Even thou it is just salad, the crew is dressed really sharp. The hats look kinda silly but the chef coats with each crews name and rank embroidered into it is a nice touch. Food - So basically every one will have a different opinion over the quality or taste of their food because each bowl is always different. There is no set or predetermined bowls to choose from, it is all just whatever you wanna put in. So some people might mix items up that dont necessarily compliment each other. But what i can say is that the ingredients are really fresh or as fresh as can be. The cucumbers and snap peas have a great crunch, the corn is nice and sweet and the sun dried tomatoes are zesty. For me, i pretty much get all the veggies, almost all 29, no fruits, 2 scoops chipotle ranch, croutons and the seafood mix. My bowl is literally a heaping pile of dead plants and dead fish. I love veggies so for me, i dont mind each bite having a different set of veggies or flavors. If i had to be a vegetarian i could, i dont want too, but i could. Which is why i love just having everything piled on and slathered with ranch. The seafood mix contains shrimp, salmon and krabmeat. For a salad joint, their seafood is actually really really good. It has a nice sweet and fresh flavor. I was very surprised at how good a salad joints seafood was. I get it every time now. The portion size is actually really generous even thou most of it is filler from the salad base. So for me and the bowl that i make, i love it. I dont come here to eat healthy, i just love the veggies and sauce too much. LOL. But if you want to get healthy then they have lots of options for you. My bowl is a great mix of fresh, crunchy, sweet and spicy. I dont know if they make the chipotle ranch in house but sometimes it is just right and sometimes it is extra spicy, which is fine by my. Woot! The only downside to this establishment is as before mentioned is that each crew member has different hand sizes. So there has been times i get a humongous salad with tons of leftovers. Then there are times where i completely finished the large bowl. Each time was always good but just inconsistent. So sometimes if you get a bigger salad then there isnt enough dressing to go around. But either way, the product is good. The value is there. Overall - I spent $14 for a large salad, with a bottled beverage and a protein. It is kind of on the higher side but if i didnt get the seafood mix which is $4, then an $8 salad with unlimited toppings is actually really good. It just depends on how many "extra" add-ons you want. Me and the wife love this place and its always on our preferred list of places to go. read more

I love the location of this Salata restaurant. It is the perfect location for having a bite to eat before going to see a movie at the Cedar Park movie theater. This is the place I go to for 100% no guilt. I always order the small salad, and I always have lots of leftovers to take home in a to-go box. I love the seating arrangements, and the nearby parking. The servers are helpful and very attentive. I ordered a small salad, and got to create it with exactly the perfect ingredients that I wanted. Everything was fresh, and everything was generous. The salad dressing tasted very good, and I had the pita crisp bread and also the whole wheat bun. I plan to return here often, like I said it is my no guilt, go to, restaurant and I absolutely am so happy for this inexpensive and fresh and healthy option in this part of Cedar Park. Pros: Large portions, great salad dressings, prices are decent. Cons: The last couple times I have gone there they have had massive little flies on the food. Which is downright nasty and unclean. The salata mix lettuce has had several nasty slimy pieces of lettuce in it. I find myself picking out half my salad with slimy lettuce. Thats not good. Slimy lettuce can cause food poisoning. Also the customer service wasn't good at all. People seem like they have an attitude. We got our last order to go and wasn't offered any bread or even given a bag to put our salads in. Location was clean, staff friendly, very fresh ingredients and salad dressings were excellent and clearly made in house. Liked how the dressings were not thick and goopy but quite al fresco. Manager or GM was on hand to make sure we were good and that was a plus. I like how they serve water and tea downplaying soda. My wife and I love going to Salata. If you have never gone to Salata and you want to try something different that is healthy for you, give Salata a shot. Salata has the same concept as Chipotle, you pick and choose what type of salad mix you would like. They have their version of a spring mix, caesar, kale, and spinach as your base salad. Then you go down the line and you get whatever toppings you like. Some of the items are add on items but a good amount of the toppings are free and you can add as little or as much of the toppings you would like. I use to get the wrap but you get more bang for your buck if you get the large salad. I load it with everything I want and when it is all said and done, it is big enough for two people. If you are person that does not like adding a lot of topping to their salad, then a wrap would probably be best. All of the toppings are fresh and never had an issue with quality. I usually get chicken as my protein and they are fresh and they provide a decent amount. The other protein selections you have are salmon and shrimp if I remember correctly. Salata also has soup. I've tried the soup a couple of times and they are delicious. I think my second favorite part of Salata and especially at this location is their different flavors of tea and lemonade. They have them on tap and you can pick and choose to make your own flavor or stick to your favorite flavor. They also have Sonic style ice that is also a bonus. When you are done eating Salta, you will be full and you won't regret your decision because it is a lot healthier compared to all the other restaurants around you. read more

I love Salata and this location is so beautiful and clean on the inside that it has to be my favorite of the chain. So many FRESH and healthy options! It is so refreshing compared to the other fast food options in the area. You choose your size of salad or you can get a wrap. From there you choose your type of lettuce, and choose from an abundance of toppings from fresh vegetables, fruit, seasoned meat, and more. I wish I could give it 3.5 stars. This location just recently opened in Cedar Park. I was excited to try it because a) I've never tried it b) I love healthier lunch choices and c) I had a gift card to use. The ordering process is very similar to Chipotle. I would call this the Chipotle of Salad restaurants. It has a clean, modern, streamlined vibe. All of the employees were very nice and friendly. I only got a water but I'd like to try the selection of organic iced teas and lemonades. The reason why I'm only given 3 stars is because my order got completely mixed up and the packaging of the food was poor. I ordered a Caesar salad for my husband and I ordered a Greek style salad wrap for myself. The guy at the packaging/wrap area put the Caesar salad in the wrap and my wrap was left as salad. So both lunches were wrong. I don't think he paid attention to my order at all. I had to dump the contents of the wrap to make into a salad so it lost a good portion of the dressing. Luckily enough for me I had a couple of tortillas left and was able to make my own sandwich at home. I didn't feel like driving back since my lunch was already on the late side. The lady at the register was nice and gave me a free soup though so she gets a gold star (I didn't realize the mixup until I was already at home). Since it's very new, I'm giving them a pass for the mix up. I'll probably be back once they get the kinks out. read more

I eat at Salata often while in Houston. (A few times a week) I travel out to Cedar Park once a month for work and wanted a salad. I yelped the closest Salata and this location popped up. First of all, the service was exceptional. Everyone was extremely courteous and attentive. There were also several people on the salad line to move everyone along quickly. This location's customer service really left me with a good impression. The positive attitude of the employees was sincerely appreciated. The locations I frequent in Houston don't even begin to compare. Additionally, the food was soooooo fresh and of good quality. You can really tell the difference especially when it comes to raw veggies. What actually prompted me to write this review... is that I am eating a Salata salad at the moment. It does not taste the same. Lol I am not sure how the franchise works in regards to food suppliers, but this location had really fresh produce. Unfortunately I don't have too many solo meals while in Austin or I would give this location a whole lot more business. Great customer service and great food. read more

The "lead" (his name tag said) was distracted listening to other staff members joke and would chat with them while I waited to tell him my ingredients - multiple times. I just waited looking at him to be done before I could tell him an ingredient. He got things wrong right after I told him and was too distracted to hear me correct him. Then at the register the girl was gave me outrageous attitude when I was waiting for instruction on the card reader. I love Salata! I eat here at least once a week and often twice. It is clean, the staff is friendly...they will answer any questions you may have about any veg/ingredient. And the selection...there are so many vegetables, cheeses, fruits, nuts, greens, proteins, etc. There is always a good soup selection and their tea/lemonade bar is great. They offer small & large salads as well as a wrap option. The general manager is super nice, and I have seen him come out and bus tables, make salads, and work the register. I have never seen him anything but 100% in a good mood! All of the employees wear gloves during every aspect of the salad making process. The whole restaurant is very clean. read more
