Yes while the staff is friendly and the interior is seemingly clean. Their company could use a little work on their accountability... I was in here recently, after returning to work I noticed my kale was rotten. One half was yellow the other half had black spots all over them. I drove back, explained to the GM the issue. They tried to convince me it was my quinoa in my salad even brushing it off the kale. Once they agreed it was rotten, they said they'd get another salad prepared. I politely declined and said I'd rather receive a refund. To my surprise I was told they were unable to provide me with a refund. All the produce had come in bad that week, all were like my salad, and they didn't know why. They offered two free meal vouchers on them. Little disturbed and probably won't return. read more

OMG! I don't know where to start. The staff is a friendly as any Chick-Fil-A. You are able to immediately tell they sincerely love their job and that sets the tone before the first piece of lettuce hits the bowl. Now is where the journey begins. Fresh Green choices and just about every imaginable topping you would want on a salad. The protein selection was amazing and you are encouraged to sample everything before you choose further adding to the 5 star experience. The Chicken was tender and delicious despite the one negative review for this location. The Tea-Tap was a nice addition as well with 6 teas to choose from again, please disregard the one negative review as Lynn clearly can't count and must have had a bad day (see my attached pics). To the owner of this establishment, you have created a gem that will thrive and your selection in staff could not have been better. We will be back! I was so excited to try Salata tonight. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The salad/toppings we're good but the chicken was very dry and disappointing. My husband was excited about the tea tap (and he loves his tea)...but only 3 tea options? With something called a tea tap you would expect more flavored teas. He said the tea tasted old. Sorry guys but you gotta get these 2 things right if you're gonna survive in this area. I'm not sure how these other reviewers gave it 5 stars. We won't be back. read more

Salads are good but the sign posted upon entry with a list of promises needs to be reviewed by management. None of the tables were wiped down and sanitized after customers left while I ate lunch. I know Covid rules are now quite flexible, but when preparing food, workers should wear masks. Two staff had masks, the other two didn't, and one kept sniffing. Mask up and sanitize. First time trying Salata today. (Uber eats delivered) The presentation of my salad was nice. I loved that I could choose what ever type of toppings I wanted. I went for a summer fruit type salad. Really fresh and the perfect crunch! I've already recommended to friends. I'll definitely have to go in person next time. read more

The salad here was pretty good. There were plenty of options for toppings and in the end it tasted good. However, the reason I'm rating 1 star was for the terrible customer service. The two workers there both seemed like they hated their jobs and would much rather be anywhere else. They did not explain how to order and were rude the entire time. One of the workers was yawning the entire time and seemed disgusted with handling salad. And finally, there weren't any forks. Overall, a big disappointment. There are so many ingredients that you can add to your salad, it's way over any other salad place. However each scoop of protein sets you back an extra 3-4 dollars and the amount in each scoop is very little. Two times in a row I found the tomato basil soup at the very bottom of the container, it was around 8 PM and no more fresh soup I was told, also no fresh bread rolls. They ran out of bread as it was late. I request management to relook/rethink about the pricing and availability of fresh soup/bread till closing time. read more

This was my first time at this place (Med lock location) because I wanted to try something new, and I would say I had an underwhelming experience. I walk in and begin my order, telling the man that it was my first time and the man serving me just stared at me to start my order (not friendly). As he rushes me along the line, I would say that they were out of around 1/3 of their ingredients so that was disappointing. By the end of it, I wasn't even really sure what my salad would taste like because it was just a mix of the random ingredients they had left, but I paid the $15 and was on my way. When I inspect the salad in my car, the romaine was poorly cut, the dressing was in globs, and I think the turkey I got was undercooked. The overall flavor was nothing special. I am an absolute Salata fanatic but the location on Medlock in Duluth is just not the same. When they first opened up I stopped by after receiving the flyer and they were closed for almost a month before opening. Their schedule is NEVER consistent. Not only is the food here delicious! The customer service is REMARKABLE.. When I got ready to check out, I noticed I did not have my debit card. The manager who is usually the cashier recognized me as a regular customer and offered to give me my meal free of charge. I thought this was a really nice gesture, especially considering the fact what I ordered wasn't the cheapest. We need more people like him in this world. read more

Don't get me wrong: I LOVE Salata, but I don't love it at 6:30 on a Sunday night. The only worker talked with a woman who had a takeout sack for five minutes then started with the woman ahead of me. The lettuce and toppings were very scant and often non-existent. I watched the woman ahead of me take much of the scraps that were left before I decided to leave. I wasn't going to pay full price for a salad with barely any lettuce at all and a few toppings. I got the feeling that the workers just wanted to walk out at 7, their work done in the last half hour. Are you open for another half hour or not? Fill the bins for your customers and then empty them into the storage containers. Don't make your customers pick over scraps. Very disappointing. I am writing this from Salata now. It's lovely, but I want all to know that you should never consider showing up an hour before closing. Getting out early trumps customer care. read more

3 stars because I'm sure the food is fine. General managers service was horrible from the get go. Do yourself a favor and drive just a little further to the Old Milton Pkwy location. I love this place and go often but this location is closer to my house and it was my first time going there. I was with a friend who wasn't getting anything and there was another lady waiting behind me. The second I walk in the GM comes and says "hi" with zero eye contact. I say "hi" and ask for a small salad and right away with an attitude she says "hold on hold on let me get my gloves on. I don't even have my gloves on." I thought this was rude but I ignored it. Again with more attitude she says "I think this young lady was before you" and we explain to her that she's with me and not getting anything. Obviously if I were not with her I would be capable of understanding that someone in front of me goes BEFORE me. I ignored this again but to me it sounded like a petty comment. She goes "well then let's knock this out fast. All of 3 of you at the same time". Again, my friend says she's not getting anything. She's clearly in a huge rush for absolutely no reason because there's other people behind the salad line to help and the restaurant isn't super full. She says "both of you what mix do you want? Let's go. Be sure you don't want any others because I'll have to add it in again and re-mix it." Who says this?? Don't rush guests. It's incredibly unwelcoming and awkward. We get to the section where the spinach is which looks separated from the mix even though it is next to it, so I asked for some spinach. With a horrible attitude she scoffs and says "well see know, I said to tell me if you wanted anything else. Now I have to re-mix it". Again, who says this to a customer? At this point I'm upset about her rude attitude because I just want a salad. Don't know why I have to be heckled to get one. So I motion towards the other people behind the line and say "well someone else can make it then" and she says "well no, I'll make it. I'm actually the general manager." I respond with "well you aren't very nice" and she says "I think I'm very nice. You were upset for some other reason and now you're upset here." She could not be more wrong. I came specifically to get a salad from a place I enjoy and I was excited. So unprofessional to try to get at someone and make them irritated. I was excited to eat and ended up feeling so uncomfortable that I had no choice but to call her out for her attitude(which I've actually never done before, but I felt so poorly treated and don't like to give the impression that it's okay). I told her "I actually was not upset. But we'll just go somewhere else". I just walked out after that. Her attitude was too poor and the one of the worst I've encountered. An establishment is only as good their weakest link. And their weakest link seems to be the person in charge. Go to the other location. Today I downloaded the app to order my salad. It was easy and I paid for it through the app. My husband picked up my salad. When he brought it to work, there was no chicken ($3), no avocado ($1), no nuts and no dressing. I called and they said they were sorry and the next salad would be free. I stopped by after work and they had no idea what I was talking about. The general manager was rude and insisted she had filled the order herself and there was no way it wasn't complete. All of the missing ingredients were highlighted and she said that was because those are the items that are frequently forgotten, but that she knew the entire salad was there. I explained to her that the container wasn't even full and she continued to insist that it was all there. I asked her if she was saying I was lying and she said no, but that she knew it was all there. She was rude and loud. She took my phone which had a photo of the receipt to the back and yelled at the staff. She then came out to remake my salad and offered me a large. As she made my salad, she said maybe she got distracted earlier, so maybe it was possible that it wasn't completed. I was waiting by the register and she said "This time I have it all, see?" It was condescending. Then, as she was packing it up, I asked her if she included the nuts. She asked to see the receipt and then added the nuts. As she was tossing it, I asked if she also included the avocado. She asked to see the receipt again because she didn't believe me. She kept missing items and would not take responsibility that she could be wrong and continued to treat me like I was lying. read more
