I purchased Ally wheel and tire coverage when I bought my new vehicle from Saline Chevrolet. The very first time I needed to use it -- for a simple flat tire caused by a nail -- I called the service department to have it repaired under the policy. This should have been the easiest possible use of the coverage. Instead, I was told (with a less-than-pleasant attitude) that because it was the weekend, I would have to pay out of pocket and seek reimbursement from Ally myself. My only other option? Drop the vehicle off and they could "try" to get approval on Monday and "let me know what they say." We're talking about a basic tire patch here -- not a major repair. I even politely asked if they could just repair it and handle the paperwork with Ally on Monday so I could be back on the road quickly. That request was declined. So instead, I drove to Discount Tire. They fixed my flat at no charge -- immediately. While I was there, I ordered $700 worth of new tires. That business would have gone to Saline Chevrolet if they had been willing to simply take care of a customer on a Saturday morning. Poor flexibility, poor customer service, and a disappointing first experience using a product they sold me. It was better when it was Crispin. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Saline Chevrolet's service department based on this experience. read more

I waited to write this review until everything involving my 2022 Chevrolet Malibu was completely resolved. I purchased this vehicle here as a Certified Pre-Owned Chevrolet, expecting that designation to mean I was purchasing a thoroughly inspected, reliable vehicle and would have the support of the dealership if something went wrong. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. After purchasing the Malibu, I dealt with repeated problems that resulted in approximately five separate repair orders and roughly 40 days with the vehicle out of service. What should have been an exciting purchase turned into months of frustration, inconvenience, and repeated trips back for repairs. What made the situation significantly worse was the way I was treated while trying to get these problems addressed. I experienced rude and dismissive interactions with service staff, and when I tried escalating my concerns, I repeatedly felt like I could not get the help, communication, or responses I needed from management. When someone has recently purchased a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle and is already experiencing repeated problems, they should not have to fight just to get answers or feel like they're an inconvenience for asking for help. I also discovered an issue with how the purchase was structured. Despite my understanding that I was supposed to be the primary buyer and the other person was supposed to be my co-signer, I was listed as the co-buyer/co-signer instead. That was extremely frustrating to discover after the purchase and added another concern to an already terrible experience. Eventually, the problems with the vehicle became serious enough that I had to take the matter beyond the dealership and pursue a resolution directly with General Motors. After months of dealing with this situation, the matter has finally been resolved. One of my biggest disappointments is that this vehicle was sold as Certified Pre-Owned. I specifically chose CPO because I believed I was paying for additional peace of mind, a properly inspected vehicle, and support if problems arose. After this experience, I personally would not put much confidence in that designation again. Vehicles can have problems--that alone isn't why I'm leaving a one-star review. It's the combination of the repeated issues, the amount of time the vehicle spent out of service, the way I was treated by service staff, the lack of helpful communication from management, and the issue with how I was listed on the purchase. I'm glad this situation is finally behind me, but buying a vehicle should never turn into months of repairs, poor communication, escalation, and having to involve the manufacturer just to reach a resolution. Based on my experience, I would not purchase another vehicle from this dealership, nor would I recommend it to others. read more

Mafia Polish... This crew are fine-tuned artists of the trade... leave the office feeling like a partner, later realize you're a tool and a fool! Should have been a straightforward used truck purchase. Negotiated the deal in-person for an out-the-door price. Set a date/time to come back and do the paperwork. All good, except for 4 little problems.... Late. I arrived early. Sales manager was 40 minutes late. I had one hour to do the paperwork (other meetings scheduled at top of the hour), worked in their favor as I had to rush through signatures. Price change. Only $300... An "extra" on top of our agreed price was the door edge guards. I asked why, said I didn't want them (on a 10-year old used truck that already had paint chips on the door edges...). They said it's standard policy. I said fine, then dealer can pay for them. Nope, and I was in a hurry to make my next meeting (because they were late). No spare key. Was told the truck had a spare key, and with that spare key was also the key to the locked topper on the truck. Got to the sale and no spare key (and no truck topper key). Odometer discrepancy. Sales paperwork showed odometer mileage, which matched the truck mileage. Title paperwork had a higher mileage. I pointed it out at time of the sale, sales manager said the State made a mistake on the prior title, and he would get it addressed. Guess what? Title arrived in mail some weeks later, with a mileage higher than the sales paperwork mileage. Okay, mistakes happen, let's give car dealers the benefit of the doubt. I called the general manager (3 times, no calls returned) requesting an in-person meeting to discuss my concerns. After third call I just went in and waited for a meeting. Was a great meeting, left with agreement on almost all items... Late. Well they weren't late as they didn't return call to set a meeting, and no apologies for being late or un-returned calls. Price Change. They agreed to review the Door Edge Guard policy and consider a partial refund. Would discuss again when they called me back. No Spare Key. I paid $100 to get a spare key made, also drove to Lansing to get a key for the truck topper. They agreed to send me a check for the $100 spare key (I provided a copy of my receipt), and would discuss if mileage reimbursement for my trip to Lansing on the truck topper key could be included (that part of their return phone call). Odometer Discrepancy. They agreed this was a problem, and they took copies of title, and said they would follow-up with the State of Michigan and re-issue a title with correct mileage. Fast-forward... now it's 7 months later, no returned phone call, no check in the mail for the spare key, no new title from the Secretary of State. Say what you do, and do what you say? I purchased a used car here in August. I paid cash for the full list price of the car and patiently waited to take possession of the car while the service department replaced one headlight, one marker light, one front bumper panel, and reconnected the key fob, all of which were not functional or present when I test drove the car. Obviously, this should have been a sign as to how they do business, but I live locally, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Upon my first full week of driving the car I discovered it had no front defrost due to a malfunctioning blend door motor. I called the dealership to ask about a resolution to the issue. It took over a month of repeated contact and phone calls with both sales and service to have them agree to just look at the car. After I left the car with the service department, it took them 3 days to call me. They reported it would cost $3,507.00 to restore the front defrost. This repair actually cost less than $1000 at a reputable third-party mechanic, but before authorizing my local mechanic to do the work, I again gave the dealership the benefit of the doubt and tried to see if they could help out a local customer. The initial resolution provided to me by the used-car manager was to sell the car back to the dealership at a $6,500 loss. I proposed several alternative resolutions to the dealership. I offered to pay for the needed parts or possibly return the vehicle for a credit worth the original sale price to be used toward the purchase of another vehicle at the dealership. I was repeatedly told by the used-car manager, and later the operations manager, that they would need to consult with service manager to determine what agreement could be reached. This went on for nearly two weeks, all the while the service department still retained possession of the vehicle and the child car seat inside. I finally decided I had to take repossession of the vehicle without a resolution or even a simple, "no, we can't help you." Absolutely no interest in standing by the vehicle they sold. I was given a total run around for 2 months. In the end, the service department refused to release the original inspection report to me when I asked and then the dealership lied to the Better Business Bureau by claiming they offered me a $500 discount, which they never did. As almost every other review indicates, the service here is the worst I have ever encountered, and I strongly recommend you do business at literally any other dealership in North America. read more

I was told my car would possibly need a fuel pump , but it would be 5 or 6 days before they could get to it , i live 3 hrs. Away. I was told i should look for a rental car. So , i tried enterprise. No cars available. My son was with me. I got very little help looking for a car to get home in. My cell phone would barely work. I hooked into there wifi , which was in and out . Finally was able to find a rental car through Hertz, Manager special. Rented through Saturday. I recieved a call on Thursday telling me , I would need to have a new motor put in, covered by warranty. I only had 48, 000 miles on my equinox. They said, i could come get a loaner or they would possibley help me rent a car. Never happened . I recieved very few updates after this. They fired 2 service managers. I left messages , no return calls. Finally got an update from a guy named Sean Cass. My parts hadn't been ordered there was a lot of issues going on. They apologized for the issues. Sean said my parts would be ordered imediately. 3 weeks later after i left several messages, i recieved a call back that my car was finished. So i arranged another Rental so i could pick my 2020 equinox up. I finally got my car back Aug 2nd. By August 6th my car was stinking like burnt oil. I called Seline Chevy. Told them about this issue, spoke with there new service manager. Told them I was bringing my car to my local Chevy Repair facility. Aug 8th , i was finally givin a loaner car by my local shop in Holland ,Mi. Found out , I would need another Motor. Now it's being repaired again. Chevy has had my equinox 3 months. 2 engines later . After a summer of having to walk or bike everywere, missing my nephews graduation party, many loss , fun days at the beach . I will finally get my car back. I have bought several Chevy's since 2001 . Wow, what a terrible experience! I purchased an EV, 2025 in December 2024. It began to not charge in July 2025, totally ran out of battery and had to get it towed. Rented a vehicle from Enterprise for almost $800 that saline is supposed to refund me for and haven't, (Enterprise was GREAT), then Saline gave me a Silverado - gas, to use until mine was done. Well, got mine back and the thing was NO different! Fast forward, called them back to get it back in to service, of course, they bring me a freaking EV. If anyone knows EV's you have to program them and set your app up to be able to charge them, like really??? I can't charge this POS unless I reprogram this loaner to my stuff, then reprogram mine back to everything when i get it back. Just a freaking nightmare! read more

I wish I had read the reviews before wasting a morning at this dealership. I started hearing a sound in my Chevy Bolt that I wanted to get checked out. I called them and told them about the noise, saying it sounded like it might just need lubrication. They told me to get an overall service check; since it's an electric car, this is similar to the kind of tune-up you'd get on a gas car. I scheduled an appointment and came in. Between driving in, waiting, the paperwork, and so on, it took pretty much my whole morning. Afterwards, I asked about the noise. I was told that it couldn't be a lubrication issue because this electric car doesn't have any parts that require lubrication. I asked what else it could be, and they said they had no idea because they didn't check anything else that it might be. They simply performed the inspection on their standard list. I explained that I came in because of the noise, and the inspection was an attempt to find it. The service manager said she couldn't help me and that I would have to come back another time. I asked if the mechanic could just take 10 minutes to drive with me and tell me if the noise was something I needed to worry about or if I could use the car. She said the mechanic was three weeks behind schedule and couldn't even take 10 minutes to let me know if the car was safe to drive. She also said the inspection wasn't done by the person who works on electric cars; it was simply done by their regular staff. Finally, it would be many weeks before they could have their electric car mechanic take a look at it. So I wasted an entire morning, and they did nothing to address the issue I had told them about when I scheduled the appointment. read more

Got an oil change here in May 2022. They said my brakes were fine. Back in October 2021, they said I needed brakes. There inspection sheet showed it. So, how can my brakes improve in 6 months? I complained to them about it and they didn't want to give me my money back for the oil change. I filed a complaint with the State of Michigan. They found out that the business used to be Bill Crispin ( back in October), however it's now changed owners. The state found that this new business only did a "visual" inspection of my brakes. They found issues with their inspection reports. The person I spoke with on the phone from the state even said these " 27 point inspections" are a joke. She said, unless they actually mic the brakes, the inspection is worthless and don't be fooled by what the dealership tells you. The State of Michigan found this business to be in violation and non-compliance! *** The same workers that worked for Bill Crispin are working here, so should be no excuses**** Be aware when taking your cars to dealerships for oil changes!!!!!!!! Check engine light came on in front of the dealership on a Sunday. Car not running right using oil. Dropped it off at the night drop. $133 diagnostic fee, they called and said a head gasket, $1300 to tear it down and see if it was just a gasket or the head. They tore it down, called and said not the head gasket, that it "was a good thing I had it torn down because something came apart inside the engine.". The girl who called could not tell me what "came apart". A few days later she called and said the problem was a clogged PCV system, and it needed pistons. I asked if it just needed piston rings, and she said no, it needed the whole pistons. Picked it up for $3400 and asked for the old parts, saw no obvious problems and asked why they needed replacement, they brought out the mechanic who pointed out minor scuffing on the side of a piston and told me PCV problems were common. So I paid for a improper diagnosis, an improper diagnosis that the mechanic likely knew was wrong, but that was used to sell me an engine tear down that probably was not necessary. While they were in there, they found something wrong to sell me to justify the tear down. Service manager called after I filed a BBB complaint, told me that they did nothing wrong. Stay away, ethics are not good. read more
