Do you like to wait over an hour for marginal take-out Chinese food? Then, Sally's Kitchen is the place for you! Since we moved to the area, last year, we have been trying to give Sally's the benefit of the doubt, but NO MORE!!! We don't care that it is in a gas station; Sally's Kitchen is the closest restaurant of any type to our house--and we love Asian food--so we have continued to try to give them a chance. Last night, my daughter was in the mood for Chinese food, so we stopped in after a movie. There was no one at the tables and just one other person there, but both of us were told before even trying to order "it is going to be at least 45 minutes." The visit before that I came in while my family waited in the car. I ordered and waited 45 minutes. Tonight was the last straw. My husband called in an order of Orange Chicken and a Crab Rangoon appetizer at 5:12 p.m. Simple stuff, right? He was told that it would be 15 - 20 minutes. He left our house, arrived and paid for our modest order. At 6:14, he was asked to pay again. He told them he had already paid and included a $3 tip up front. Rather than trust the man who had sat right in front of them for 50 minutes, they proceeded to check the register for the receipt, pull the register tape to look for it, and asked him 3 times who he paid. He was embarrassed to have to stand there, in front of other customers, while they openly questioned his integrity. Also, he was irritated at the 1 hour prep time for a single entree, and the rudeness of the young man helping behind the counter. If people wonder about the food, the crab rangoons were cold. They were probably ready at 5:25 when we were told the order would be ready. We have had some of their noodle dishes. The Pad Thai is incredibly bland and lacking the flavor and extras that are usually part of this dish. The seasonings on their entire menu seem a bit "off". If you are in the area, Canton Palace and Wonderful Dragon are much better choices. The service may even be FRIENDLY--imagine that! read more

Yes it's a dive but food is authentic and the real thing. My favorite is the double pan fried noodle. Not sure if they have started adding more MSG into the dishes since getting MSG headaches now. We've lived in Fort Collins for almost two years, the whole time hunting for an exceptional Chinese Food spot. We've tried many and I can honestly say that Sally's has the best food out of all of them. I can't get my wife to try it yet, because it weirds her out to get food from a restaurant that's in a gas station. The lack of ambience aside, the food hits it out of the park every time. The sesame chicken is remarkable and the prices are right on point and affordable. Don't waste your time going anywhere else and just call in some take out from Sally's, you won't be disappointed. This place is somewhat of a local legand around Colorado State University. A gem for chinese food in Fort Collins. Sally's is extermely affordable and packs unreal flavor in to almost every dish they cook. You can watch them hand cook and fry you food on the spot. My good friend and I eat have eaten here since 2018 and the quality has waned. I would personally recommend the sesame chicken meal. It's 12 dollars and you get an amazing qantity of food! read more

'Must echo the other glowing reviews for Sally's. The avocado ginger fried rice is SUBLIME-'not at ALL greasy, nor textured the way most fried rice dishes are, where "fried" often translates to sloppy mush. This was an entree that miraculously balanced pieces of healthy, ripe, flavorful avocado-in the midst of whole, perfectly moist rice ('hate that word ("moist") but it's the only one that fits here) with a hint of ginger & other vegetables to balance the flavor of the dish. I'm amazed that Fort Collins has not been "put on the map" through this place/menu item alone, honestly. It must be a great, great, great, great grandmother's recipe, passed down from generation to generation. 'Also had the mixed vegetables in brown sauce. One tip would be to go light on the brown sauce with this dish, or maybe skip it altogether, as it is a little bland. The garlic sauce or a side of sweet & sour would be a better way to go. I ordered delivery: the service came within the promised hour, everything was hot, ready to eat & truly some of the best Chinese food I've ever had (*in the nation). To realize that it comes from inside a gas station right down the street is bizarre, but great. Thank God for Yelp & for those who reviewed this amazing place. Now I know who to call when I need delivery that is guaranteed to be a culinary delight. As a vegetarian, that's a tall order in Ft. Collins. ***I do have to agree with the reviewer who mentioned the Styrofoam: it makes me SO sad to imagine that I would contribute to a landfill by ordering from Sally's. I guess that would be the only true drawback at Sally's. I just can't imagine take-out containers in the form of Styrofoam in the year 2015/16. (??) How can restaurants continue this? I hope Sally's pays attention to this important response from their patrons. In retrospect, I must take one star off solely for this reason, because it IS a very big deal. 'Styrofoam just HAS TO GO. Also, finding the menu online can be challenging; even through their Facebook page, it's hard to find the menu tab. But the search is WORTH it...'So. Sally's: 'lose the Styrofoam, consider putting up a website to post your menu for easy access, & your 5 star ratings will likely quadruple. Worth the price! Decent food at a great price. This place is legit! I order two meals at a time for myself so I can have left overs.

It's just average food. I do like the curry Singapore noodles with chicken. Sally's does a brisk business and I am a semi-frequent customer.

Best Chinese in town! Their online presence is lacking, more if a word if mouth venture at this point, and they hire idiots that don't know what's on the menu, but the food is great! They're smart choosing to occupy a gas station near a major intersection because there's always foot traffic. The crispy spinach is good, so is the spicy chicken and shrimp. Went here because of the reviews and recommendations on Yelp. Got carryout on a Friday night and there were at least 10 other people there doing the same thing. We ordered the ginger avocado fried rice, sesame chicken, general tso's chicken and crab wontons (crab rangoon). The chicken dishes were pretty good, although I didn't expect the sesame chicken to be breaded, fried and with a thick glaze sauce. The crab wontons were good as well. The one thing I didn't like was the ginger and avocado fried rice. There was too much ginger flavor and that's it. My boyfriend also ordered plain fried rice and that was very bland. read more

I heard about this place during an interview at a job far away from Fort Collins. "Oh, you live in FoCo, try the Chinese food in the gas station." I was a bit hesitant but after the worst experience ever at Yung's (don't eat there), I headed down to Harmony for the famous gas station Chinese food. Well, it's the best I've had in Fort Collins. Not as good as places I've eaten on the east coast, as far as Americanized Chinese food goes, but I'll take what I can get! They lost a star for the long wait. Be prepared for that. read more

The place does a business and the food is pretty good. The problem I have is we stopped by Sunday night and ordered fried rice. The man working there used his bare hand to scoop up the rice. I would think that is a health inspection hazard. He handled all the food with bare hands. Grossed me out. read more

The food was fantastic but the staff at the register were extremely rude. When I asked her what was in the fried rice she shouted at me to look at the menu! When I first walked into this place and realized that it was inside a gas station I was a little unsure. Despite those feelings I decided to order food anyways and OH MY GOD am I glad I did. Personally, Chinese food is not something I tend to crave or go out of my way for, so when I eat it I expect it to be great. Sally's did not disappoint. We ordered the goyza, crab cream cheese wontons, beef and chicken chow main, Kung pow pork, and beef and broccoli. Every. Single. Thing. Was phenomenal! If you are just going to get one thing I would highly suggest the beef and broccoli (my favorite). It all tasted fresh and delicious, and was not your typical greasy blah Chinese food. I ordered chicken with spicy peppers and crispy spinach. They were on the menu as one meal. They are two. The crispy spinach was oily and limp. The chicken was overwhelmingly sweet and slimy. I could not eat it. The other person with me ordered sweet and sour chicken. It looked squishy and like it was slathered in red sugar. To begin with, the lady that took our order was incredibly rude to us and others. What's worse is that and that the food that we ordered was likely the worst Chinese food that I have ever tasted. I've tried this place twice now thinking I've just had a bad meal the first time and frankly I don't get what all the buzz is about. Nothing special in my book. Hot and Sour soup was meh. General Tsos chicken was also mediocre. I'd say Hot Wok has a better version of both and for some reason is rated 3 Stars on here while Sally's is at 4.5. I was definitely skeptical to get Chinese food from a gas station. After seeing all the good reviews I decided to give it a shot, and I was pleasantly surprised! I have tried other places in town and Sally's kitchen has been my favorite. I've had both the general tso chicken and sesame chicken and both were really good! I used to like this place a lot....Until tonight. I've been coming here for over 3 years and tonight just did it for me. I come in to get dinner for my family since it's our order out night and I walk up to counter and I was greeted and my order was being taken. An older woman with her son walks in right up my ass and the lady taking my order stops and begins to help her with their order.... Shitty shitty customer service. I've held off reviewing Sally's because I was afraid there was another shoe to drop. But now, after a half-dozen meals, I can say that I am f***ing impressed. I've never eaten at the actual location (which is located inside a gas station) but the delivery has always been under the time given. The prices are reasonable, the portions are huge, and there is a fair amount of variety in Asian dishes (Mongolian to Indonesian). And the food blows away the other Asian joints in Fort Collins. Even my notoriously picky family is impressed by Sally's. They are hard to contact during the dinner hour, but props to them for not taking on more business then they can handle. I hope they're saving for a restaurant, because everybody needs Sally's in their gut. read more
