Egg drop soup was very tasty as well...not too much cornstarch...it looked and tasted soupy. I would try the dumplings again but I may be swayed to try their Dan Dan Noodles next! It's worth trying - it may just be your go-to dumpling place!!

My friend comes in here a lot as he lives nearby, is Chinese, and knows the owner. We had tried a viral noodle spot in Denver the night before that was twice the price and half the flavor. Beijing noodle really hit the mark! There is a row of parking outside, and we had no problem finding a spot on a Saturday afternoon. We saw in a cozy booth, and the owner himself takes care of the customers. Everything feels so authentic. I started with a hot tea, which really hit the spot and the potato salad, which had the perfect amount of flavor, balance, and not too much soy sauce like in some places. We also tried the cabbage, the scallion pancake, the oil spill noodles, and the Henan gravy noodles. You really can't go wrong, they were some of the best I've ever had, my only desire was that they would put more meat on the noodle dishes. The tiny chunks were so scarce and left me wanting more in every bite. I would have also loved more scallions in the scallion pancake. But it was perfect to dip in the noodle oil and really soak up that flavor and juiciness. Everything was divine, the prices cannot be beat, the ambience feels clean and genuine, and there's nothing better than the feeling of supporting a local family business. I could also see that they have received many awards on recognitions from Yelp and other publications celebrating their food and longstanding presence in Colorado. Can't wait to come back, maybe next time I'll ask for double meat

What you think about Sally's Kitchen will depend heavily on how much you care about the "full experience" when you dine out, vs. just the food quality and value. If you are a food quality and value person (or if you are primarily interested in take out), you'll love Sally's Kitchen. If ambiance and food presentation matter to you, then you will probably want to avoid it. Sally's is inside a Country Store gas station, on the side where you'd normally find a small sandwich or burger place. You're food will come in a sectioned styrofoam container with flimsy plastic utensils and packets of sauce, even for eating in at one of the few tables (they'll just put it in a bag for take out). But if you close your eyes and pretend that you are in one of the nicer Chinese restaurants, in an upscale ambiance with china and silverware, you'll realize as I did that you are eating some of the best Chinese food in the area. Plus the prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. The kitchen is tiny and all meals are prepared one at a time to order, so be prepared for a bit of a wait if you go at peak times. read more

Ordered my food to-go, picked up and when I got home I not only did the food look horrible, but it had the wrong sauce on it. I called to let them know and ask if I could come back for the correct dish/sauce. The woman on the phone was rude and said they wouldn't replace it. I drove there to show them and ask for my money back. I was told that I should've asked for the sauce I wanted...I should've originally received the sauce my order was supposed to come with! I was disappointed in the food here. It's highly recommended, but for me it just didn't pan out. The Avocado Ginger fried rice is terrible. I love ginger, but it's so overpowering in this dish you can't taste anything else that makes fried rice delicious. The Rangoons were standard fare and our Orange Chicken was bitter. Fortunately, we didn't invest in more dishes. Don't believe the hype associated with this place, you'll get better food at a better price and faster service at Hunan. read more

For whatever reason, good Chinese is hard to find in Fort Collins (sushi too). Imagine my horror as my significant other suggested we try the homemade looking sign, non chinese sounding, restaurant inside the less than glamorous Shell gas station. 2 hr wait for takeout, that is once I finally broke through the busy phone line (30 minutes of trying) on Monday, yes it is New Years Eve. The food is delicious, but the truth is there are many chinese restaurants in our vicinity and it might be a little obsessive/excessive to insist on only this spot. We will try elsewhere next time. I am not sure what people are raving about but, we had 5 different takeout dishes from this establishment and they were all mediocre at best. The broccoli beef, Kung Pao chicken and the cashew chicken all tasted sweet and flavorless, the drunken noodles were no different, they also love to use a ton of carrots and very little actual bell peppers which some of these dishes call for. read more
