This was a yelp find that absolutely did not disappoint. For a couple of years, I had blonde balayage on top of a perm in my naturally stick straight, black Asian hair. I wanted to find a local salon that would be able to help me go back dark safely, without doing too much more damage to my processes hair. I had read so many reviews about Salon Arcaro, and particularly rave reviews about Vivian. The salon itself is cute and homey in the middle of of charming downtown Roswell. Great location to pamper yourself with great hair service and walk to a nearby eatery for lunch after. Vivian was awesome... warm, friendly, knowledgeable and offered great suggestions since I was looking to make a drastic transformation. After I mentioned that I wanted to go jet black with some purple highlights, she encouraged me to go to a slightly lighter level than the raven black I initially inquired about (and also required less processing), rather than jumping into a point-of-no-return jet black immediately. I was glad I took her advice. I also loved the cut she gave me afterwards... again moved in stages with the layers and bangs I wanted rather than immediately chopping everything off in spite of my bold initial appeals. She definitely took my lead but wanted to move gradually to make sure I was happy with the end result... and I was! No more blonde, and my hair looked beautiful and healthy. I have been to Salon Arcaro twice, and I have rarely been so pleased with my hair! For years, the ONLY place I would go to have my hair done was a very upscale, pricey salon in the area, whose name I will not mention (but it sounds a bit like "Man Vichael"). I found I was receiving the same look over and over again, no matter what I asked for. They would give me watered-down versions of what I asked, they would give me the "we'll try it next time" excuse, and I would get herded out the door so the next butt could land in my seat and more revenue could be made. I felt like cattle, and I was paying way too much to leave unhappy. A nearly $300 bad color job was the final nail in the coffin for me. So I went on a search for a new place, and Salon Arcaro came up with good reviews. I decided to give them a try. I saw Amy for my first visit, and she managed to salvage the ugly, ashy, slightly green-tinted color abomination I mentioned above, and added in some warmth, did the ombre on my ends I'd been asking for repeatedly (and never got), and really took the time to do what I asked. I was very happy with how she salvaged the mess I brought in. When I decided it was time for a big change, I again looked to Amy. Yesterday I went in for cut and color, and I could not be more pleased!! I was going for a new, much shorter 'do, and I wanted a darker color than the light reddish brown I currently had. I also wanted some red and violet hues/highlights, and I got exactly that. The brown she gave me is perfect - dark without being too gothic or making me look pale as snow. The reds and plums are understated but lovely. And the cut! It's fantastic! It's cool, modern, fun, and I cannot stop playing with it and flipping it around! Amy was very aware of how to cut for my face shape, how to flatter my features, and she really did a bang-up job! Cut and color both cost me about $50 less than the color alone had cost at the other salon - and this time I left HAPPY instead of frustrated to the point of tears! What a concept! Amy took the time to listen during my consult, and I showed her pictures of what I was going for, even showed her what I DIDN'T want, and she found it all very helpful and took it all in. She was pleased I could voice what I wanted because it helped her formulate a plan to get me there. She did an incredible job! My past experiences had made me think I didn't know how to communicate my ideas, but clearly I was not the problem! Amy got it on the first try. So refreshing to get what you want AND pay a reasonable price. I haven't been this happy with my hair in YEARS! Go see them! They know their stuff. read more

Salon Arcaro has been my go-to hair salon for years. I first went to Adam after another salon had messed up the coloring in my hair. He fixed it with no problem and more. I've been going to him since. Adam knows exactly what he's doing and I have no problem trusting him with my hair. He's been coloring and cutting my hair perfectly and I couldn't imagine trusting anyone else. I get tons of compliments every time I get my hair done from him. I scheduled an appointment (just haircut) with Adam this week via the website, which was really easy. I was apprehensive about going to a new salon, since my previous stylist cut my hair for 4 years, but I relocated to the Atlanta area and needed a trim. After checking out all the reviews, I took a chance and am so happy I did! I wanted to keep the length, and Adam listened. I have been here a couple of times now, and I have never been dissatisfied. I started with one stylist but moved to Vivienne when I decided to get hair extensions. When I tell you I love my hair, it means I can't get enough of trying new looks with the extensions and bursts of colors. Vivienne is the best. So I just moved to Roswell and everyone knows finding someone new to do your hair is not easy. I went to yelp looked and the #1 place and it was the best! Made an appointment online Sophia followed up with a text and I even got an appointment that was better for me. Came in and met Chris. The coloring was Oki not fully satisfied they are different colors than my root touch up - sorta my fault too by insisting no black but the colorist as well. I absolutely love the results of her work. She recommended the lightness of the highlight color to be right for my face's skin tone, and hair length to be right for my long face shape.
