When I first came in my hair was really dark, and I was trying to go very light. She was realistic with hair, and let me know it would be a process to get it as light as I wanted. Going light too fast would damage my hair, and since I was always trying to grow it out, damaging my hair would not be good! My friend gets her hair done by Laurel and I always love how it looks. I decided to schedule an appointment with Laurel to have my hair done. We did a consultation first because I have a lot of hair and most stylists refuse to do anything to my hair; I wanted her to see what she would be getting into. Two weeks later I had an appt to get my hair done. She lightened some of it and it looks AMAZING!!! I have been going to this salon for the past 3 years. I have a super crazy schedule and PAIGE is AMAZING!! She really works with your time even if it's kind of last minute. She really makes time for what you want and ALWAYS considers what you want to get it just right. Her colors amazing and I am always going for a BLONDE weave. She nails it every time and it grows out well. Which is too perfect for my timing since I don't like coming in all the time. They have tons of services here and she lets you know how to take care of your hair as well. I have never had an issue with my CUT. I started to go to salon bloom because of Melinda. I have been getting my hair cut by her for at least 6 years now, and after she moved from her previous salon my mother and I harassed the old salon to give us her new contact information. I am Indian, so I have extremely long, dark, and thick hair. It has been ruined every time I go anywhere else, not to mention I find it hard to find people that understand how to handle such long hair. They always want to chop it off and do their own thing with it. Melinda is AWESOME. She is hilarious and I love going to see her when I get my hair cut. Even though I have spent the past 4 years in college at UC Davis, I make sure that I get Melinda to cut my hair when I come home because I do not trust anyone else. I went to Salon Bloom 3 times in a timespan of a year. I don't want to say the name of the stylist not to harm her personally. The first time I went for a trim, so I couldn't judge her skills as a stylist, she was very nice and friendly and I was satisfied with what she'd done. The second time, I went to get bangs and even though I didn't like them, I know that was my own fault. My poor review is specifically for the last time I went, which was to get a formal updo for a wedding. I wanted a beehive and all I got was a fancy-ish pony tail. She took forever to do it, charged me $75 and I was just very unhappy to have wasted that much money on something I had not asked for that I could have definitely done myself at home and without so much hairspray. The salon looks nice, employees are friendly but I'm definitely not going to Salon Bloom ever again. I'm willing to splurge every now and then, but not just hang out in a nice atmosphere; I want to leave the place knowing that I'm getting the service I paid for. read more

I went into the salon this morning to get an appt for the spray tan. She advised me to come back at 3:30P.M. when the woman who does it will be in. I called at 2:45p.m. to confirm my appoint, it is now 3:10p.m. She put the phone down and went to go find out if my appt was confirmed. I have and still am listening to all the girls talk. Secondly, I LOVE my hair stylist, Karisa, who has been doing my hair for 5 years and my mom for about 3. I've never had someone do my hair exactly how I've wanted it, or who isn't afraid to say "lets not do that, but do this". Every time I get my hair done I leave feeling beautiful, which I think is so important for any woman getting her hair done. Karisa is compassionate, kind, and funny, which makes the visits much more enjoyable. I love that her prices for my hair have always stayed the same. This is my first Yelp review, but only time I felt I really needed to. Personally, I would never go back after my one and only experience. I was wanting to have natural/sun kissed highlights by Karisa and ended up with a completely unnatural dark base with very, very blonde highlights. I went back in to have it corrected and I ended up with a 2-3 inch horizontal block of gold across the middle of hair. This resulted in being able to see a line where it changed from my very dark brown roots to a block of bronze and then blonde at my ends. On top of that, the cut was completely uneven with the left side being about an inch longer than the right. This experience does not represent the entire salon and I wish she could've fixed it herself, but I had to find another salon to fix it correctly which ended up being very costly. read more

I have been going to Paige Pucci to get my hair done for years now! She always does such an amazing job that even after moving to orange county i will still make the trip up for Paige to do my hair! She is so flexible and accommodating with my schedule it is such a relief and makes it super easy to make an appointment! Went to saloon bloom & had my hair done by Tara. I was what you call a "fix it" I had my dark hair lightened by another saloon & It turned orange, went back to have her fix it & again Orange, I wouldn't leave the house as i was embarrassed of my hair. Tara @ saloon bloom saved the day, she was able to bring my color to blonde & remove all the brassy orange / red that the other saloon left my hair.
