I left a message but no one called me back :( Called back the next day and was able to schedule an appointment for 3 pm. Arrived a few minutes early and was instructed that the stylist was running 15 minutes behind. Well I didn't actually get to the sink for my hair to be washed for ~30 minutes. In general, I enjoy the hair washing as it usually involves a nice head massage and is relaxing. Well this was FAR from relaxing. I felt like she was clawing my scalp with her nails, thankfully it only lasted a few minutes! Finally, I met with the stylist and told her I would like to keep the majority of my length but to cut it so that it was healthy. She was very receptive to my request and before she would cut more she asked if it was ok. So the cut went well. She asked if I wanted my hair "straight straight" or "straight with body". I opted for "straight straight" but the blow out fell a bit...well...flat. I think next time I require a hair cut I will seek my regular stylist.

I finally had the time and messaged her directly telling her what I wanted with some inspo pictures. She said she was booked for weeks, but would set me up with one of her girls, Erica. She advised me to come in for a consult so that Erica can see my hair. I went in for my consult and Erica was great. After my consult we made an appointment! It was time for my appointment! I reminded Erica of what I wanted and she listened 100%! I wanted black with blue. She advised me there are a lot of different blues and she showed them all to me. I walked out with I believe 4 different blues! My hair was better than I could have imagined. Erica brought so much life back to my hair. So why 4 stars and not 5? When I paid I was not advised of the fee for using a card. It also isn't advertised anywhere. I didn't know until I got my receipt. I wish the receptionist either told me when I handed her the card or even after. If I didn't ask for my receipt I never would have known and would have thought I was charged the wrong amount on my statement.

I work at a group home and one of my residents wanted a haircut. I researched and found this salon…read morewhich was more expensive then other salons and had good reviews because I wanted her to have a real hair cut experience as being a youth in a group home this isn't something she's accustomed to. I made an appointment and sent my staff to bring her and I couldn't believe how awful this haircut was. Instead of a smiling happy confident resident she was silent crying in the van on the way back asking the other kids for help because she has prom and is mortified of her new awful haircut. we have to take her somewhere else now to fix it. I'm so beyond disappointed in this hair salon because I was told they rushed and seemed like they were too busy even though we had an appointment. It might " just be a haircut" for some but for this young person it was a day she was looking forward to and patiently waiting for so she can look her best for prom and instead she left feeling insecure and like she didn't matter because the person doing her hair rushed her out and didn't even care that she left with frizzy uneven hair. please do better you never know whose in your chair and what being at a salon and getting a haircut meant to them.

The owners of the shop actjally have around the same hair texture as me which is one of the reasons I trusted to come here. Tina Marie did my hair. Shes a sweetheart and takes her time. She knew I was nervous. I had a pretty messed up experience at Ulta one time with someone who didn't know how to do my hair. I also had family holiday photos to be taken later in the day. I'm super used to going to get a Dominican blow out but Blow Chic has now upped the game for me. I got the classic blow out with the famous curls and let me tell you, Tina did that!
