I never leave reviews, and especially not negative ones, but the service my mother received here for her birthday was so unacceptable that I felt I had to warn others. What should have been a relaxing treat turned into a deceptive and painful experience. The staff was outright dishonest about their inventory. My mother requested a specific gel color for her toes, but they didn't have the matching regular polish for her manicure. Instead of being upfront, they covered her eyes with an eye mask and told her to "relax." While her eyes were covered, they proceeded to apply a color she never approved or asked for. To make matters worse: * Physical Injury: The technician was so careless that they actually cut her finger during the manicure. My mother is elderly and generally avoids confrontation. she doesn't like to speak up even when there is an issue. The staff seemed to use this to their advantage, intentionally hiding the wrong color from her and then acting dismissive when she was clearly unhappy with the results. * Zero Accountability: They were incredibly rude, refused to reimburse her, and still charged us full price. The manager was "unavailable" when we asked to speak to someone in charge. It is ridiculous to treat a customer this way, especially a senior celebrating her birthday. Between the dishonesty, the injury, and the lack of basic respect, this was a complete failure. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

Tom was very rude and even cussed out the first lady all because she told him he hurt her nail he responded with get out motherfucker!! So unprofessional. Second the other lady was charged for 50 dollars and her nails were completely ugly !! She came back demanding her money back and a to do her color again . Aside al that I was getting my toes done and this lady I don't remember her name but always looks mean !! It has come to my attention a positive sentence has been added to my review. Unclear where or how this is being done. But please ignore any positive sentence you may read at the end of my review because it was not added by me. My review still stands as is, one star. I have been coming here for years after work (7-9pm) because they are the only salon near my area that are opened late. They accommodate those that work all day (school/children ect) that are not able to come which is great. Their prices are very cheap too compared to other shops in the area. But this review is about the service. If you're going for a mani gel or regular. Please get it done by any of the girls. The guy with the mole works like he's trying to set a world record of gel manicures. He is known to do acrylic but when days are busy he will jump to do manicures. Do yourself a favor and wait!! Also another reason NOT to go to nail salons on the weekends. The rush is retarded. 1 figured because he does acrylics and polish decently he could manage a simple mani. But I guess not. He used the file machine (don't know the proper name) to take off all my previous gel-- I was in a hurry so I didn't say no. Normally you buff the top and then use acetone and foil. I never get them filed but one time won't hurt right? Mistake #1. Then he starts with the cuticles, tries to cut a piece of my nail that he thinks is skin. Ouch. I just brush it off.. mistake #2. After this I should have paid close attention to his work. But I don't like to hover so I just let him polish my nails. At the end, the polish is extremely messy, uneven and there's polish on the sides of my nails that he tried to keep adding to make even. Honestly this is a manicure that I would've given myself when was 12. If I wanted a messy manicure could ask my niece for one.. I definitely do a better job than he did. I asked to come back another day to fix it and he said "I fix it now" even though he had a girl in his station. My response was, I need to go because I was near tears from being angry and upset over the quality. Honestly I doubt I will go back because it will cause a headache. I will take the L and lose 20 dollars over a shitty manicure than continue being upset and angry over the lack of quality. Also I still tipped him HA! His work on acrylics is alright. As in, it gets the job done when you really need a set. Or if you're in a hurry to go in and out of the nail salon in an hour or less, he will give you a new set or fill that's decent enough to pass very quickly. Over the years I had my acrylics done by him and like I said, I can't complain when they stay open and do my nails 7-9pm on weekdays and charge less than 25 bucks for a regular set, medium length with regular polish. I'm not sorry at all but I am not going back. I would prefer to pay more money for a good mani than to be rushed and anger at the end result. Been coming here since 2004 and what can I say, they are one of the most sweetest and personable nail shops I've encountered. For the past 2-3 years Tom has been my nail tech and I couldn't be happier!! I, like a lot of ladies are picky with my nails and he meets my expectations and some. I come up with my own designs and if he doesn't get it to the T he is close enough where I am content. Also, yes you do pay for a service but I also believe our TIPS are very important, I'm not a cheap tipper so the next time I walk in, he tries to see me right away and I never go there if I'm in a hurry either or with kids, have courtesy for the nail techs and for others, people normally go there to relax not to get extra headaches. Also, Whyyyyyyy make an appointment with them if you all know it's 1st come 1st serve and it's besides me that people complain here about their "appointment scheduled" yet don't get it honored but you guys still keep coming..... makes no sense. If you're that bougie, then pay extra and go to a bougie place, but you don't want to, we all want to live high class on a low income budget so you get what you pay for! I believe if you walk in ANY business with an attitude then honey, what can you expect out of that?! I'll be honest. This isn't the first time I have a bad a bad experience. My first always gives me a hard time and always say "Why do you return"? Well when I found out that the salon opened back up I sent the owner a text to make an appointment. I set up an appointment for a pedi and nails. We agreed on 12:30 pedi. 1:00 nails. As soon as I arrive I am seated and Angel starts my pedi. When she is done she tell me wait here until Kristy is ready for your nails. Around 10-15 minutes go by. Kristi approaches me and says "Your appointment was yesterday", my response is NO it's today I have my text message saved". I show her my text. She then says "Oh I can't say no to the customer that came in", "I already changed her appointment once". At this point I'm pissed I took the day off of work to do all my errands. She offered the next day. I said no because I won't have time. She offered later that day. Bottom line my appointment time and day was not honored. She lost a customer of over 10 years. read more

I walked in and Tom greeted with me with a big smile and said hello how can we help u. I told him what I needed I I was taken right away. Never going back. Our usual nail salon wasn't open and we stopped in here. My dad, sister and I all wanted manicure-pedicures. We get there and it's not so full they first sit my dad and sister at a foot bath and tell me to have a seat. They start my fams pedicures... and I'm still waiting. Two more women come in same, manipedi, they sit one of them down on a empty foot bath massage chair seat thing and the other next to me. I'm still waiting, someone leaves I start to get up and they tell the girl sitting next to me (that just came in) to go sit in the chair. Half hour in y'all. Still no service. The lady noticed I get visibly upset and asks if I want anything! Smh I say yes, I said a manicure pedicure, they talk amongst themselves and she says so sorry sit here and she points to the seat that's been empty this entire time. (That a kid has been sitting in playing with a the massage chair settings.) I should've said no and walked out because what ensues is the most expensive worst manicure service. So I'm simple, I just like my nails cleaned and coated with clear. I told her this and she said that's fine. A few mins later, she asked if I was sure? And maybe I wanted gel instead? Boy do they insist you get gel here. My sister had to say "no just regular is fine" to the lady doing her nails over 5 times. My dad ended up just having a pedicure, no polish and a Calluses treatment, my sister got frustrated with all the insisting she ended up getting clear coat on her hands and feet with no special treatment. I had a pedicure no polish (because It was taking forever) and a manicure with terrible clear coat. When my dad went to pay(early bday treat) they were charging us 100+$ because they thought we had gotten gel, that we had all had the calluses foot treatment. Wtf. Seriously. After going back and forth with the employee(s) the price went down to 79$. Still over priced in my opinion for the crappy job they did. She took her time cleaning my feet but when it came to my hands she rushed though them. not sure if it's because my dad had already finished paying or if she just isn't very good. Either way we won't be coming back. I'd give a zero if it were possible. She scratched up my smooth nails with a file and clear coated them. I've been coming here for years! First, to cut my hair when I was younger then I started getting my nails done. I've paid for multiple manicures and gel manicures and they always chipped too soon. I was so disappointed I stopped going altogether. I didn't think it was worth it to pay the amount only to have my nail chipping off 5 days later. Well, Vanessa has restored my faith in this place! She is the only one I will go with now. My gel manicures are lasting and the quality is just so great! No uneven surface or nail polish where there isn't supposed to be.
