[[HIGHLIGHT]]When I showed up on time, another stylist told me Andrea had canceled her 10:00 clients and wouldn't be in until noon -- and Andrea never notified me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I finally heard from her around 11:30. Her tone was casual, not sincerely apologetic, and she offered me a discounted service as if that would fix wasting my entire morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At that point, it felt like an insult. What really stings is the contrast: Andrea made sure to tell me she couldn't take me in October because of her "celebrity" client, yet she couldn't even extend the basic courtesy of canceling or notifying me. It left me feeling like, if you're not a celebrity, your time and business just don't matter to her. I don't care about discounts -- I care about professionalism and respect. If you have bangs, you have to come see her. I have a blunt bang that requires precision cutting and it's very hard to find someone that actually has the talent to achieve that look for me. Andrea has that talent and then some! I can always count on a perfect color and cut every time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love coming to her so much that my mom is a client as well and we are both overjoyed with the results.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am very confused by some of the negative reviews. It should be expected that when you come to a hair salon while having severely damaged hair, repair will take time, especially when someone wants dramatic color changes. I have watched her take photos of her clients' hair and my hair as well and she does not photoshop the images because it's not necessary. Using a ring light is not misleading and is no different from choosing better selfie lighting, but I guess not everyone understands that. I have attached a video of my hair on a day I visited Andrea where it's fresh, shiny & clean and another photo from a few weeks later on Halloween where it still looks excellent and healthy; obviously in my own personal photos, ring lights are not used because I don't own one. Still looks great. Mind you, my area has issues with hard water, and my hair still looks so good because of the time and care Andrea takes with my hair and the great products she uses in her salon and provides for her clients, which have helped a lot with the hair breakage I used to struggle with. If i could give negative stars i would. Was offered tape ins. Said she could get them. It would be no problem. Didn't have anything much to do anyways the next day. I would ve compensated if she actually cared. It was crooked. She went from client to client while bossing her other employees around. A customer started speaking to me. And my son dropped the closed flip mirror. I opened it a bit to see if broken. It was. I informed her. She says. ummmmm yeaaa i was gna tell u stop doing that. I can't have tht in here. There's a lot of animals in here[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. She doesn't care about much I'll tell u that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But expects everyone to be up her butt.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So my daughters first wash the extensions. Coming out. And of course it's my daughter's fault!!! She offered to re sew it after i reminded her what went on that day: and she knows my daughter doesn't live here but is offering to re sew it. Come on. There's a reason j lo hasnt been back. i encourage anyone and everyone to stay away from this lady . She is truly not a good person. shes also complaining of not being compensated for weft. First of all love the vibe as soon as you walk in Had a bad haircut about a year ago and I came in with my concerns she fixed me up with multiple treatments and a trim. I have very long hair and when I tend to get a trim a lot is taken off however she managed to only cut off an exact inch and still help my hair in growing back healthy. I would like to start out with the positives. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had a great Customer Service spent $600 for a color correction (black box die) with her unlike the other bad reviews.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She actually took me in when she said she would.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Had a really nice assistant helping out , Andrea uses really nice words such a sweetie and hun[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] , I found Andrea on a paid advertised ad. Her results seemed pretty consistent via Photos. But the reason for my low rating is because after sitting 4 hours in her chair took 9 hours total ! My hair broke off was dry brassy patchy and orange . Don't believe those fake filters she puts on her social media it's al photo shopped . She also had her assitant give me a form that she's not responsible for the outcomes breakage burningof the scalp four hours after we started the process. I am aware that forms like this should be handed to clients PRIOR to service , especially first time clients before chemicals are even placed on the hair not as a surprise!!! I felt pressured to sign at the time since we were already 4 hours of work in and I was tired . So PLEASE BE AWARE if you are a first time client that you will be signing a form that she is not responsible nor giving a refund. Defaming comments are also not allowed , which is why this is my opinion , and I will not be returning here or recommending to my family or friends. The main reason for my low rating is her photos her "work " appears to be a bit misleading because they are photos shopped . The after photos she took of me did not look the same in person . She uses heavy filters and ring lights to edit the tone and color for her instagram/FB pics . I will post her before and after photo ....and I will post a real photo from my phone so you can see for yourself. You can go to her if u wish but my hair was very brassy , yellow , dry and of course patchy due to the previously colored hair . Test strand would have been better in my case but with her professional experience after bleaching my hair starting from the bottom and working her way up, she saw the outcome wasn't as expected and continued with the service. And had her assist rush to the back , print up the form not just for me but the other for the other girl sitting next to me as well . It was our first time hearing about needing more signatures . Releasing liability of the outcome . Good luck in finding your hairstylist. This is for educational purposes only . I have never received so many compliments on my hair cut & color!!!!! I absolutely LOVE my color!!!! It's actually an improvement compared to my natural color & is more flattering to my complexion. The best part is that it is SUPER low maintenance!!! My color doesn't require any toning at the salon & I just wash my hair once a week with the amazing, super clean ingredient purple shampoo & mask; THAT'S IT! The halo that they use to heat the color is super quiet & quick. Andrea & Steve are astonishingly talented, passionate, & knowledgeable in all things hair!!!! Their level of surface is VERY high but they are genuine & compassionate. They are also incredibly thoughtful & easy to connect with. I cannot even begin to describe my joy in finding this place. Not only do the decor and vibes match my very soul, the stylists here are very welcoming/accepting and are absolutely phenomenal at what they do!! I had the extreme pleasure of working with Andrea. I was feeling stuck in a rut with my appearance, as it had been relatively the same for many years and this year I am really wanting to go for my dreams, in all aspects of my life which included my appearance. I have very thick curly hair, and have had the constant issue of stylists telling me I can't do certain things because of it. I had LONG given up on my dream of a specific style (a short, straight, avant-garde cut that I'd always admired on the alternative/gothic/punk musicians I loved growing up). To my absolute surprise and delight, when I asked Andrea what she would recommend for my hair, she immediately suggested EXACTLY THAT! Without even knowing that I've been dying for that hair style for around a decade! I passed on what I'd been told over the years: that it isn't possible because my hair is curly and thick, and she told me it absolutely is possible and she would teach me how to style it so that it stays that way. I couldn't believe it. I also love colored hair - I've had blue, pink, and purple in the past (individually). I asked her what she would do with my color, and she said she would mix blue and purple. I couldn't quite visualize it, but I already knew within minutes of talking to her that I trusted her vision fully. And oh my goodness. The results are absolutely stunning. As a nonbinary person, I really appreciate that she went with a very gender neutral cut, as I've had a lot of stylists try to make my short hair super feminine. But this haircut is literally 100% me. I have never seen myself look so incredible and present so authentically in my life before. And the COLOR!! I had no IDEA hair could look like this! I feel like a walking masterpiece, and everywhere I go, I get multiple compliments, because, just like me, most people have never seen anything like this before! I am just so grateful I found Salon Draven, and especially Andrea. I feel like she really saw me for exactly who I am, within minutes of meeting me. I've never had such an affirming and incredible experience, and I feel so proud and happy in my skin, more than I ever thought was possible.
