I didn't cut my hair since december because at that time I went to another salon and they destroyed my hair so I was really scared but I had to get my hair done. I just moved to Orlando and thank god I found them!. Since I sat down with her, she was friendly and so nice to talk to!. The massage they give you while washing your hair amazing. She understood I was nervous haha so she made my experience very enjoyable. I really really will come back here. I cut my hair and blow dry it just for 50$. Just moved over to this salon and I'm so glad I did! I was extremely impressed by the service, care, and hospitality. My hairdresser spent nearly an hour with me and showed no sense of rush when it came to discussing cut and styling options and providing an excellent massage in the hair washing room. The little things like offering tea and coffee at the start of my appointment really stuck with me. I've already made 2-3 referrals as a new client and intend on making even more! I love the aveda products and philosophy and am so glad I found this salon! Definitely worth the price and they offer great promotions for new clients and referrals! I have to say not a huge fan of the front desk, they always make me feel like I'm bothering them. But Miguel is the BEST!!!!! Always gives me what I want and it always looks different. There is nothing that bothers me more that every time I get a hair cut it looks like the last hair cut. With Miguel my cuts always look new and my hair color is fantastic. I even take my kids, I am really crazy about their hair, my son (5 years old) has a ton of hair and I'm soooo picky about how its cut and my son loves him, he won't let anyone else cut his hair, he falls asleep in the chair while getting a hair cut. I have naturally curly hair, and let me tell you not just anyone is able to cut it. I have searched for years and gone from salon to salon and stylist to stylist. I have been given everything from Little Orphan Annie hair to 1980's metal hair and was never happy with any stylist I'd had. It had gotten so bad that I dreaded getting my hair cut at all and would often let my hair get so bad it made Russel Brand's hair look sane. Well all that changed when a friend recommended Salon Salon to me. I set up an appointment with Jonathan and then never looked back! The atmosphere is bright and relaxing,and the staff is extremely friendly. All the stylists have been trained by Aveda and they only use Aveda products, which I love! You get the royal treatment from the moment you walk in. They are always quick to offer you a beverage and answer any questions about products you may have, but are never pushy. Scalp massages are complimentary with your hair cut and the stylists are more than willing to give you a consultation if requested. This is the only place I go now. I have heard that all of their stylists are wonderful but I always go to Johnathan because he is very friendly and has never given me a bad hair cut!. One more bit of awesomeness about this place, you get your first haircut at $10 off and if you name drop whom referred you they get $10 off their next haircut as welll! I was inspired by Kim Kardashian's hair style, so I went to Salon Salon Aveda to try somewhere new, and I saw good reviews and also it says "Color Bar" so I thought "wow, they must be good with coloring" I went there, explained what I wanted.. I didn't want to mess with my roots. I wanted BLONDE, I showed a picture of Kim K. and in the end I got ORANGE. And the Hairdresser had the courage to say it looks like Kim K. I have sent a few friends to her and they are regular clients of hers now too. If you love AVEDA products then this salon is a good pick since thats all they use. PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING!! Last week I did the keratin treatment at Salon Aveda. I spent 250$ + 44$ for the shampoo and conditioner. I guarantee the treatment is not working: as soon as I washed my hair (after 5 days) they became exactly as they were before. The girl at the salon told me the treatment would usually last 4/5 months and before starting she made me sign a paper where there was written that they were not responsible for the final look and so they would not give the money back . I am sure you can find a way better hair dresser for half the price that Salon Aveda is charging their clients. This salon is overpriced, do not believe what they tell you because their treatments aren't working! Sadly I lost 300$, I hope people will read this comment and will not do the same mistake as I did! read more

This salon was exactly what I was looking for. I booked my appointment because of good Yelp reviews and they did a perfect job pairing me with Ally (they told me that she specializes in long hair which I liked because I knew she wouldn't be scissor happy!) When I first met Ally we did a brief but thorough consultation and I could tell right away she knew her stuff and I was in good hands. As my color was processing she gave me a short hand massage (included with my treatment) which was an unexpected but nice touch! After my color was ready to be rinsed out, I went back into their hair washing room and it was just so lovely. It was super relaxing with reclining chairs that massaged, dim lights and she gave me a great scalp massage! Overall, I'm very pleased with my color and trim that Ally did. I'm a picky customer so I appreciated her explaining everything to me as it was happening and she always checked with me before proceeding. I'll definitely be back! read more

This was my frist experience with Salon Salon. First shock was, how they do coloring for customers. They took 4 customers and 4 hairdressers around one table, it felt very unprofessional for a business to allow me to hear the drama of other people. I come there for haircut and color and not to listen to 3 other customers talk to their hairdresser about their hospital visit, the shopping trip that didn't go right, or the botched boob job. I have been to some of the best hairdressers in the world throughout Italy, Germany, Czech, Slovakia, Austria and I have never seen nothing anything like this. Second shock was the hairdresser you choose is to good to wash your hair after coloring and they don't clean up hair from haircut. The had a girl wash, a different girl to massage hands, and one for clean up. I hope my tip is split between the "team". And the job that was done.. was 3 out of 10 at best. Plus this Salon is overpriced.. I am willing to pay even 175$ for haircut and color but I want to be satisfied.. that means I should leave the salon happy.. I paid full price but think that will be my first and last time in Aveda Salon Salon. read more

She really took the time to speak to me about what I had in mind for a cut and offered her expertise/recommendation as to what may work. I've learned that one has to be open to dialogue with a stylist, and, be realistic about what may or may not work for one's individual hair and face structure. If a stylist does not take his/her time to consult, then run for the hills. Davina was great and even outline step-by-step what I will experience during the process as I came in wanting to keep my length, but, needed some hair to be taken off badly. I went to the Rizzeri Salon in Davie, Florida last week for low lights. I asked for a few foils around the crown of my head to just break up my current color. I asked for chestnut brown (with warm hues and nothing ashy) and showed the stylist pictures. I was charged for a partial low light. Three hours, later the stylist was just getting around to the foils on the top and had completely foiled the sides with an ashy, blackish lowlights. He hadn't touched the back of my head. I told him I didn't want a cut or blow dry. After I told him I was out of time, "Warren" proceeded to wash me and blow dry my new ashy black color all over my head except the back. His supervisor disappeared about an hour after Warren started. Everyone keeps asking me what happened to my hair! Its hideous. I would have gone back to get it corrected but no one there listened to what I said the first time. I hope no one ever has to go through this again. I am telling everyone I know! read more
