I saw the sign on the curb advertising "blow dry bar" $25. However I go to "blow dry bars" 3-4 times a month either here or when I travel for work. I had tried this salon years ago and was underwhelmed. However This salon is closer to my house and since it had been perhaps 5 yrs since I had been there -- I thought I'd give it a try for a blow dry. I ask receptionist for a deep conditioner and she said "oh that will be $35. (just for conditioner) I declined. Stylist Julee said they had another for $10. So she expressly said the blow dry style and conditioner would be $35. (top end of a blow dry bar price range.) She told me (!)what I wanted as far as style and as she started I corrected her. no consult. As I checked out the bill was $45. plus tip. It dawned on me in the car how wrong it was. I called the salon and she flippantly said "well you were in our system so that means it was $35. plus $10 for conditioner." (oh, she never showed me any "special" conditioner she was using.) Her overall customer service skills were greatly lacking as was the receptionist. The blow dry style was fair . My bad for not confronting bill at check out and for tipping her...and for giving this place a second chance. read more

The stylists here are okay. The owner, Lisane, is the best, but very difficult to get an appointment with. The only reason why I've had my hair done by the other stylists was because I scheduled appointments with her but was then passed off to someone else when I arrived at the salon. This has never happened to me at a salon before. When it happened when I went in for a bang trim, I thought no big deal it's just my bangs. The second time this happened I called before going on vacation, I wasn't able to get Lisane before I left so I thought okay I should have called earlier and booked an appointment when I got back. When I arrived to this appointment, I was told she was sick and I'd have someone else doing my hair. I would have really appreciated a call to let me know she was sick before I got there to see if I was okay with having someone else cut my hair or to see if I wanted to reschedule. But oh well, I was there so I stayed. When I left she was still working on the same client she was when I got there, making me wonder even if she wasn't sick how would she have fit me in at that time anyway??? Needless to say, I've moved on. If this wasn't enough to turn me off, it's an Aveda salon so every time I went products were pushed on me. I've tried Aveda products and they don't work for me. Also, every time I went in she tried to get me to start coloring my hair to cover up the 5 grays I have. I'm in my mid twenties, I have some time before I need to start coloring to hide grays! I hate complaining but hopefully this will prevent anyone else from having the poor experiences I've had in the future! read more

Fabulous place to get your hair did with Ashley & Lizanne, amazing facials & waxing by Royce. They recently started doing more Aveda stuff,:( but there is much L'oreal professional product available if you prefer to not smell like sticks & nature. Lizanne is an expert colorist and a L'oreal color professional. You would be in most capable hands. Ashley does great extensions that don't appear to be extensions (which is common in Vegas to see many poorly done extension jobs) & her pricing is phenomenal. read more

I recently moved to Henderson and was looking for a new hair stylist. I stumbled upon this gem of a salon, drawn in by their 20% off for new clients special. I was greeted very warmly, and immediately introduced to Liseane, the owner. We talked about what I wanted to do with my hair, she gave me a price, and I made an appointment. I had my highlights and cut today, and she did an outstanding job. I'm very picky about my color and highlights, and have gone to some of the best salons in Dallas. Both my color and cut from Lisane are beautiful, and not outrageously priced. The salon is very nice, and conveniently located. I highly recommend this salon, and Lisane! read more

The nail tech Kayla is the best ever. She is amazing and creative and I always enjoy my time with her. A mani/pedi should be enjoyed as your pampering time and she is the real deal. You never feel rushed, uncomfortable, like what you have asked for design wise is to much or to difficult. She takes the time to research and learn the design if she doesn't already know it. Recommended. I've been going there for years. Very clean, very friendly staff. They're popular and they're worth it so plan ahead and book your appointment. They offer great services, reasonably price and offer great products that are very well stocked. I hated to see the owner sell the shop. I love to see that there still the same staff there. Lindsay is the best and most educated Esthetician I've ever met and worked with. I love my hairstylist but I'm not gonna give up her name. I want to keep her all to myself. Let's just say she's the tall cute one in there who's station is by Lindsay's room. If I could give this salon no stars I would. be careful who you let color your hair. I met with a stylist who told me I was going to need a color correction ,fair. What I missed completely was all the warning signs along the way. First I said no bleach ok she puts a bleach wash which I can smell and feel from my scalp burning during this process I was told she was trying to start from a clean canvas then she throws in a bunch of blue toner etc. I asked did you put bleach in my hair she says no but slips up when her co worker was asking about what she was doing to it. Oh my word the list goes on.. I guess complaining does no good but I should have stopped her when she shared that it took her 10 hrs to complete a color correction for a previous client. When I left with dark brown almost black hair and was asked to come back for highlights when I was suppose to have ash blonde I called it in no way no how. The manager advised me to come in to have it fixed (by who? the person who did it lol)and that he would not process a refund of any kind. Ok, I'm at a loss for $350 and a day stressing about this. As an updated review which if you review my reviews this is the only review I've ever created on yelp or any platform because I just don't care enough I've had bad service before and move on with my life. Update**This manager had emailed me threatening to reveal pictures of my hair if I didn't take down my review and tell his side of the story calling me petty among other things Lol well after careful contemplation on the matter I realized it's just a word of mouth who said what and who's right or who's wrong but who cares. This guy sits at his desk all day skimming the internet for people's opinions as I had posted the review 2ish hours after my service and received an immediate email in his attempt to control public opinion. Don't go here for extensions at all!!!!!!! I needed some extensions taken out, fusion ones. They acted like they knew nothing. At one point there was 3 women ripping my hair out. I'm giving the Salon 3 stars for appearance however the stylist who did my hair deserves 1 star. So a 2 star justification about sums my experience up. I will not go back because my hair was ruined. I was trying to go ombré with my hair. Instead of an ombré, I got ridiculous demarcation lines in my hair and nothing looked uniform. I had to have another salon fix the mistakes and do a color correction. I walked around with half my head looking an ash green and the other half a murky orange yellow. I have been going here for 5 years. Andrea "Drea" is beyond talented. I lost most of my hair due to a thyroid condition. She was able to make me feel attractive again with just a few tape in hair extensions. It looks so natural that people don't believe me that they are extensions until I show them. I have also been coloring my hair for about 25 years and she is the only stylist who actually listens to me. She knows exactly how I like my color, how long to leave it in without damaging my fragile hair and it always looks fabulous. I highly recommend Salon Dushon! I work out at Anytime Fitness next door and decided to go in to Dushons for a consultation. The receptionist was not accomodating in the least and the salon smelled like a BBQ and it wasn't lunch time. I asked about the hair extensions and the type of hair. The receptionist was rude, flip and totally not interested in making an appointment or consultation. When I asked for a menu of services, under her breath she said "if you need a menu, you can't afford us". I was shocked. Shame on you! You only get one chance to make a first impression. Utter fail. If it weren't for the fact that I happen to work out next door, I'd never know this place existed. It's a wonder they're even open. read more

I love Aveda products so I was very excited to get my hair colored and cut at this salon. I was very disappointed in my experience. The salon was dirty with hair all over the floor, apparently they don't clean between the stations. The stylist took over 2 hours to finish my highlights and when I went home my scalp burned for many hours after until I rewashed my hair. I will not be going back! read more

Absolutely recommend this salon. I'm from out of town and was in bad need of covering my grown out gray roots. This salon was near our hotel so I called to see if I could get in but it would have to be after 530. Spoke with the owner who was very friendly and very accommodating. I arrived about 545 and met Lisa M who was going to color my hair. We chatted for a bit about hair color then she proceeded to mix my color. And explained the process of the ammonia free color. The color turned out perfect and matched my other hair color to a T! Lisa was so knowledgable about hair color and I had an immediate trust in her. My gray roots were gone!! Loved the relaxing shampoo I received and loved the hair products she used. And loved the way she styled my hair. My hair was so silky and shiny. I had bought a groupon for a body wrap by L Marie. I had an appointment for today at 3:15pm. She texted me at 11am to confirm my appointment. I live across town from their location so I left at 2:30pm only to arrive there on time and see that she had left me a voicemail while I was driving. She cancelled the appointment!! Saying she had poorly managed her time for the day. She did offer me 2 free body wraps, but that doesn't help me since I was getting this done for a photoshoot that I have on Sunday. Kayla is the most amazing nail tech ever. I have been with her for over a year now and have followed her from her previous salon. She is extremely professional and her skill set is definitely worth what you pay for. I have tried other nail techs and always come back to her realizing the mistake I've made by going elsewhere. I have gone to Salon Dushons twice now for my hair cut and color. The salon is beautiful, very nice inside, modern style. The receptionists are very welcoming, friendly, and professional. The atmosphere is very positive and relaxing. My stylist, Jonathan, is absolutely amazing! I actually followed him from another salon because I just couldn't imagine getting my hair cut from anyone else. Before finding Jonathan, I had been bouncing around the valley trying different stylists. None of them knew how to deal with my thick, wavy, and frizzy hair. With that said, it is so refreshing and comforting to have my hair cut by an experienced professional. He is so easy to talk to, very easy-going and funny, and most importantly, he knows who I am and remembers me from appointment to appointment. The true test of my hair cut by Jonathan was when I styled it myself the next morning. It was remarkably easy to style; I went from 30-35 minutes on the blow dryer down to 15! (15 minutes really does make a huge difference!) I've gone from putting up my hair in a ponytail every day because I'm sick of dealing with it, to waking up in the morning excited about my hair style, not being able to wait to show it off!
