Where do I begin? I was introduced to my now hairstylist Leia about 3 years ago through a roommate & I haven't gone anywhere since! I've also been introduced to new hair products that I now religiously use like the shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask all from the Maria Nila line. I'm the type of girl who likes to change her hair with the season or my mood. I can bring my Pinterest board or AI photos of myself and Leia brings the vision to life. Case in point, I've always wanted to go blonde but did not think it was possible with my skin tone & im so happy I was wrong! Leia knew exactly the shade and tone for me. And important to note, your first meeting will be a consult only. Especially if you want to color your hair. She will cut a small clip (from underneath) and process it. She reaches back out later with the results and lets you know what realistically can be done color wise. Which is so valuable in a hairstylist, to know I can trust she'll be honest with me about whether something can work or not. Leia also picks the playlists, at least when I've been there and it's always upbeat and fun. I would just be aware parking can kind of be tough there. I would recommend trying to find the lot that lets you park for 5 hours, or else be prepared to run out to your car to pay the meter because the meter maids are always on the lookout. read more

I got my haircut by Alexie and she was amazing! She listened to all my concerns and fixed my bangs that i tried to trim myself the night before. She also did a nourishing hair mask on me. We did long layers, face framing pieces, curtain bangs followed with a blow out. read more

So glad that I found Carlyne back in summer 2019. She's transformed my streaky unblended highlighted hair to a gorgeous blonde balayage. It was a work in progress to finally get to my hair healthy and to an even beigey blonde (with a hint of occasional ashy blonde) but it's been worth it. Maintenance is key, so I knew once I sat in Car's chair at a previous salon back almost 3 years ago that it would be a commitment, no more skating by with just highlights and a cut every 6 months. I'm so proud of all of her success and for her opening her own salon last year. She's a sweetheart and so good at her craft. If you don't book with her, she has a team of just as equally talented stylists. Parking is decent, sometimes it's a bit harder to find than other times due to peek hours or construction. I LOVE Salon Eleven:11! All the girls there are such great vibes and super talented! So you can't go wrong with any of them if your original pick you decided to go with is not available. The salon is located on San Mateo Ave in San Bruno! Parking could be tough, but there is street parking or actually there's a parking area literally less than a 5 min walk to the Salon if you turn on Sylvan Ave! They are an appointment only Salon and do not take walk ins, so make sure to get your name in the books first! I believe you would book by directly reaching out to the stylist of choice! Carlyne has been MY GIRL for over 5 years! Her books do fill up in advance, I normally reach out a month in advance if I want to get my hair done. She does WONDERS to my hair and her scalp massages are BOMB! We've done so many transformations! She LOVES her fashion color projects or unicorn (multi-color) hair styles! I love her energy and it's never a boring/awkward conversation with her! I also love how she has a thorough consultation and makes things MAKE sense so we're both on the same page! A lot of the times, I'm so indecisive on exactly what I want, but I have my full trust in her on whatever she thinks is best! As a busy new mom of two, I'm not able to keep up with my hair care as frequently as I'd like and I never feel judged or pressured to keep up with services like I have at past salons. I've been seeing Carlyne since 2018 when she dyed my very virgin dark hair because I eventually wanted to go platinum blonde. She was incredibly upfront about the entire process and maintenance care required, and I trust her completely. Since then, I've gone grey, more blonde, less blonde, blue, purple, red... my hair has gone through an awesome journey all thanks to her. She even dyed my hair the perfect blue-purple that I had for my engagement photos and wedding. The salon itself is cozy with such great vibes and very clean. I am so glad I found Leia when I did! I'm always so hesitant when it comes to haircuts because I don't have the same type of hair that's most common out here and my last experience at a hair salon was wack. I have thick curly hair and getting a "curly haircut" is ridiculously expensive nowadays. I had an event to attend that night and didn't want to deal with styling my hair on top of other things I had to do that morning. I was also overdue for a trim. I wanted a blowout style and trim without causing damage to my natural curls. I was very particular with my search for a hairstylist and I'm so glad I was!! Leia was on time, easy to chat with, soo sweet, and definitely experienced in the curly hair department. Leia made me love my natural hair. Even in its "day x no wash" stages, she found ways to compliment my hair that made me realize how much I really love it too. The shop is so cute and easily accessible. Definitely allow yourself ample time for parking as there's really only street parking available. My hair held the curls from the curling iron throughout the night!
