Cassi Woolum (Hartmann) is the greatest! I always get exactly what I ask for and she always goes above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. I have very wavy hair and prefer a rather wild look, but most stylists try to force my hair into something it's not ( shiny and straight), but Cassi works with my natural style and manages to make it look chic and healthy. I have to also say her color jobs are phenomenal! My hair is very dry and takes to color very easily. Most stylist have trouble dying my hair, but Cassi listened to me and thoroughly assessed my hair before proceeding and I got the exact color I wanted the first time around. Her technique is 2nd to no one and she's great at catering every hair cut to my favor and is so good at making anything go... YAYA gives the best Brazilian Blow Outs. Scott Garrison totally rocks! He always listens and is consistently good at both cuts, styling (meaning I NEVER have to go home and re-do it) and color! What can I say? His daughter Tallulah is also a stylist and works with him as his assistant and she is super organized and also very talented, they make a GREAT team! I was so bummed when Scott left to go to NY and opened his own hit salon, but when the cold got to him and he decided he had to come back to Orange County I was SO HAPPY and came back to him immediately as soon as I found out he was back! Robert did my hair for my wedding. I went to him twice before my wedding to prep my hair for my big day. He is great to work with! So nice and really good at what he does. On the day of the wedding he was able to work some magic on my hair without know much of what my flower crown was going to look like. My hair worked so well with crown, it was perfect and I received so many compliments on my hair. My mom, sister and Aunt also had their hair blown out with him and they all enjoyed their curls for the day. A few of my bridesmaids had their hair blown out with a few other stylists. I found Cat about a year ago and will never let anyone else touch my hair. She is amazing at highlighting dark hair. I've tried about 10 different stylist, but all of them would give me brassy, orange highlights. Cat gave me the blond with no orange that I was looking for. She is also great at cuts. I have basically had the same haircut since 7th grade. I suck at doing anything with my hair aside from washing, brushing and blowdrying it. When I moved to NB I put off getting my hair cut for several months because I was nervous that I would be forced into a high maintenance cut/style. A friend recommended Anthony at Salon Gregories and he gave me a cute, updated, low maintenance cut (that I will probably stick with for the next 15 years). All I had to add to my routine was hairspray! Love it. Very upset that my awesome hair stylist just got booted out of the salon (along with other stylists) via a text message because management mistakenly assumed she was going to the competition. I understand how it could be an emotional thing when you think someone is being disloyal, but these are people' lives and livelihood being affected. Austin is a rockstar with my long hair. I drive from DTLA for him to do my hair. The staff are all lovely and helpful and any bad reviews on here sound like people with a chip on their shoulder. Because everyone greets me. By name and know my coffee preference and they are all adorable love energy. Restive people. I sadly, cannot even give a one star effort. I was a client of Dusty's, I was referred to him in July and in 8 months he cancelled my appointment 10 times the morning of the appointment. Regrettably, I was scheduled for back surgery and scheduled my appointment with Dusty 4 weeks before surgery. 2 days before surgery the salon called to reschedule me I specifically said I had booked this appointment because it will be several months before I would be able to get my hair done because of my back surgery. Frustrated, disappointed, disgusted are only a few of the words that come to mind. Dusty is a great hair dresser when he shows up, problem is.......he rarely does.
