This review is for Ronny as I've gotten my hair done by Alex before and she was awesome! I was excited for my appointment but his poor attitude quickly turned my mood. He kept constantly sighing exaggeratedly and replying to all my questions with a rude tone. Once we were finally on the same page, he "gave me the honor" of brushing out my own hair with a brush that still had his previous client's hair on it and then left me alone for almost ten minutes before I walked out. No way I was trusting him with my hair if he couldn't even bring himself to brush it. read more

There are only 3 people in this world that I will let cut my hair- my mom, Soreda at Shear & Shine, and the lovely Elvia at Style Cuts! Elvia has a great bubbly personality and knows what she is doing. I discovered this neighborhood salon when I lived across the street and keep going back. I think those fancy places overcharge solely for the atmosphere of the salon. I just want a good haircut at a reasonable price and Style Cuts is the spot. Every time I go in, I describe to Elvia what I want done (Note: I'm not the best at describing things), she works her magic and voila! Came to get my daughter's hair cut. I made an appointment two weeks out. They were ready and waiting when I walked in. They washed and cut my daughter's hair. While I waited, they had plenty of up to date magazines and free WiFi. The prices seemed more than reasonable. They only charged me $20 for my daughter. Her hair was below her shoulders and she got a sort of Bob cut. I will be back again for my daughter and perhaps myself. On the plus side, plenty of parking. There is also a restaurant next door called Top Work for a nice lunch or quick bite to eat after. read more

This is the 3rd time I have had my hair done by Alex. She is incredible with color. She truly has a magic touch. My hair has never looked better, I have never gotten as many compliments and I have never felt good about my hair before Alex got her hands on it. She is great with a blow dryer too. I have very thin, soft hair. Her blow dry lasts for days (my hair is oily so I have to wash it often) and makes my hair look thick and so beautiful. I went in a few days ago for my usual trim, I am normally charged the base hair cut price of $20, however they bumped it up to $25 because my cut was supposedly categorized as "long layered cut." Pretty ridiculous to charge me 5 dollars more because of the length of my hair...it's super duper fine, stick straight, I have it cut dry (no wash), and I am in/out of the chair in about 5 minutes. Not too happy with this new policy. I still love Elvia though, she is great! read more

Amanda is awesome!!! I was visiting from Las Vegas and needed a shampoo & blowout. My Aunt who is from Redondo beach refereed me to Amanda. She was very welcoming to me, ask me about my hair type and how I wanted my style. I felt so comfortable with her, I asked her if she had time to do a touch up in my roots too. She was very Accommodating and extended her day just to do my hair. I was so thrilled with the color, and blowout it looked like a new hairstyle. I was referred to Yen by a woman I met at the gym who has been a long time customer. I was in need of a haircut so I thought I'd give the salon a try. I made the appointment only the day before. I arrived 5 minutes early and was pleased that Yen was ready for me. Most of the time at other salons I have to wait even if I am on time. The prices at the salon are very reasonable. My haircut was only $25. I paid $10 extra for blow dry which is very reasonable as I have thick hair and it takes longer to blow dry than cut my hair. I usually pay over $50 for the same service. I am very pleased with the service that I received and will be going back again for my next cut. read more

I love this place. They use good quality products to wash, etc. Elevia does my hair once a week and I always leave happy. Also their prices are amazing. About $16 for wash and blow dry. Sometimes I get the deep conditioning which is $10. Just had Keratin treatment by Alex and she did an excellent job. read more

I got my hair cut here once with Lori who was lovely and did an excellent job. Some time later I walked in to get my hair washed. They were busy but managed to accommodate me without rushing me or other clients, which I appreciated. Today I walked in to get a trim. It was busy so they gave me an appointment at 5pm. The stylist very clearly said 5pm and took my name and number. I arrived at 5 and she said my appointment was at 4:30 so they couldn't do anything today. I guess she misspoke earlier or typed in the wrong time? It's possible I got the time wrong but pretty unlikely as I made a phone reminder right after I left. What annoys me is that they had my number but didn't call me when I was "late" and didn't even consider that they could be mistaken. Anyway, this is a decent place if you get the right person/timing but just know your experience is not guaranteed to be good. read more

So, I moved to the South Bay over 2 years ago, and since then I've still been driving over an hour away to get my haircut because I didn't think I could find any quality places in the South Bay that were also affordable for me. I, along with my family have been coming to Salon Harmony (formerly Style Cuts), for more than 15 years to get our hair cut. Yen is great at trimming hair and regularly cuts my mom's and brother's hair. She is very precise in her hair cutting and always takes her time to ensure you are happy. I would always get my hair cut here and dyed at other hair salons. After I told Amanda this, she was eager to work on my hair and dye it for me. I typically get blonde balayage with a mix of highlights. Amanda dos an AMAZING JOB getting my hair to a blonde that I want, and I am so happy that I have found someone at this salon to color my hair every 3-4 months. My sister saw how nice my hair was after getting it done by Amanda, that she now sees her as well. Amanda takes her time and I trust her!
